Many people know Shanghai’s beautiful night view(景色), especially the colorful lights from the buildings. Light helps us see and makes the environment more beautiful. However, too much light becomes a kind of pollution but many of us pay little attention to this pollution or even ignore it. In fact ,it causes a lot of problems. Light pollution can be almost as bad as carbon dioxide pollution.
Too much light can do harm to our health. First, it can make us feel bad and we can’t sleep well. Second, lights need electricity, and creating electricity will give off greenhouse gases. This affects the air and causes breathing problems.
Third, study shows people living under bright light for long can have cancer more easily.
Too much light may be even harmful to wild animals. Thousands of birds die from it each year. Some hit into the light buildings, because they can't see clearly in the strong light. Some birds sometimes lose their ways in the bright light. Sea turtles(海龟) can’t find the dark beaches to lay their eggs. “Mary splashed the water on me, Mom,” said Ann.
Ann’s mother got angry and she hit M ary on the back twice. Mary started crying. Mary’s mother heard her daughter crying and came to the street. “Ann’s mother hit me on the back,” said Mary.
Mary’s mother turned to Ann’s mother angrily and they started arguing. Other men and women joined them soon. Some th ought Ann’s mother was right. Some
thought Mary’s mother was right. They argued and argued. When the men and women were still arguing, Mary and Ann forgot about their unhappiness. They started playing together again. Then an old woman said to the men and women, “Look at the children. They are friends again. But look at yourselves.” The men and women looked at the little girls. They felt shy and quietly went back to their houses.

First thing in the morning, I checked Face Book only to see how I’ve already fallen behind. A workmate has written a new book. Two of my heroes have completed a big project. One of my old college friends posted a video for an online program she’s talking. She looks successful, shiny and charming.16 Am I really falling behind? Did these people post any of these things in order to make me feel bad? Of course not. But if I’m not careful it’s terribly easy to see social media(社会媒体) as a reminder(提醒) of all the things I’m not doing.
17 It’s a comparison problem. It’s all about how we think about it. I know it’s not just me. Our culture is full of comparisons, and it’s not hard to look around at what other people are doing with their short time, and ask”What about me?” Comparisons can make you not believe yourself. 18
Don’t compare your insides with someone else’s outsides.19
Don’t act like it was effortless or pure luck. It’s much easier to look at someone “up there”and be jealous of what they have than to be happy for them and make yours better. Have a clear understanding of yourself.
20 You’re neither better tha n nor worse than anyone in the world. Be yourself and do your best.
根据材料内容,从下面五个选项中选出能填入文中空缺处的最佳选项,使短文意思通顺,内容完整。

下面是某环保杂志刊登的一篇英语报道,根据文章内容,完成信息卡, Nowadays, we have been surrounded by electronic products. They can be called e-products for short .They are necessary for us. However, how to deal with old e-products is a big problem.
People around the world cause about 60 million tons of old e-products every year and only 10 million tons can be recycled. How should we deal with the rest? Some people bury(掩埋) them under the ground. It’s wrong. Because poisons(有毒物质) like mercury(汞) and lead(铅) in them will go into soil and water slowly. They will do harm to people. Others burn e-products.Many harmful chemicals in them will pollute the air and cause breath problems. It’s reported that patients with lung cancer are now increasing.
The Chinese government wants the country to develop, but in the way that is good to the environment .To fight against electronic waste, one way is to make laws.Chinahas made laws to order companies to take back their old
e-products. They know best what to do correctly. Another good way is to build e-recycling centers. The centers can recycle the parts that can be reused and deal with the rest. Everybody must take actions.
