USER GUIDE LOCATION: The detailed User Guide is located on the supplied SD memory card installed in the TG165 at the factory. Connect the TG165 to a computer USB port with the supplied USB cable. View the contents of the card as you would with any external drive. The PDF User Guide, in a variety of languages, can be opened or copied. Please read the entire User Guide to gain a thorough understanding of the TG165.
Quick Steps
∙Charge battery with USB cable (USB port under flap)
∙Press and hold for > 2 seconds to power ON or OFF
∙View IR Image & IR Thermometer temperature
∙Pull trigger to switch ON laser pointers
∙Release trigger & press
to save image or
to
discard image within 5
∙Pull trigger again to return to real‐time imaging
∙Use Laser pointers to assist in orientation and targeting ∙Use Crosshairs to pinpoint temperature measurements

6.Short press to access Settings Menu, to toggle settings, and
to access a sub‐menu
7.Press 4 seconds to access the Image Review mode

9.Press and hold for ON/OFF; short press to exit a screen

Settings Menu
∙ Press to enter the Settings Menu (see icon descriptions in
Table below and Menu screen at right) ∙ Use arrow buttons to browse ∙ The current option will be highlighted ∙ Press
to open an item or to toggle an option
∙ Items that can be toggled using the
button are: Color
Palette (Hot Iron/Black & White), ON/OFF, Temperature Units (C/F), and Cross ‐hairs ON/OFF ∙ Items with sub ‐menus are: Image Review/Erase, Emissivity,
Auto Power OFF (APO), Date/Time, and the Information page ∙ Sub ‐menus require additional key strokes; please refer to the
User Manual located on the supplied memory card for details
