My Favorite Character Harry Potter
Hi there! My name is Sam and I'm 9 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my absolute favorite character ever - Harry Potter! Harry is the star of the super famous book and movie series by J.K. Rowling. I've read all the books like a million times and seen the movies even more. Harry Potter is awesome and here's why he's the best:
First off, Harry is just a regular kid who finds out he's actually a wizard! How cool is that? One day he's living with his mean aunt and uncle who make him sleep in a tiny cupboard under the stairs. The next thing you know, a half-giant named Hagrid shows up and tells Harry he's a wizard and has been accepted to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Can you imagine that happening to you? I'd be so excited!
From that moment on, Harry's life is never the same. He gets his first taste of the incredible wizarding world - a place filled with magic, ghosts, talking portraits, owls delivering the mail, and so much more. Harry is kind of a celebrity too because when he was just a baby, he somehow survived an attack by the evil
dark wizard Voldemort that killed his mom and dad. That gave Harry a cool lightning bolt scar on his forehead.
At Hogwarts, Harry makes his two best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Ron comes from a huge wizarding family and is kind of goofy but lots of fun. Hermione is the brainiest witch ever - she always gets perfect grades and loves reading tons of books. Despite being so smart, Hermione doesn't act stuck-up or snobbish. She's a really good friend to Harry and Ron.
Every year at Hogwarts, Harry has to face off against Voldemort or his creepy followers, the Death Eaters. There's always some crazy mystery or adventure happening involving Harry. Whether it's fighting a troll in the bathroom, battling a basilisk monster, or taking on squadrons of soul-sucking Dementors, Harry handles it all with courage and loyalty to his friends. It's never boring around Harry that's for sure!
What I love most about Harry Potter is how he's just a normal kid who keeps ending up in these extraordinary situations in the wizarding world. Despite everything crazy happening around him, Harry tries to stay humble, kind, and true to himself. He's not perfect of course - he can have a temper and gets in trouble sometimes for breaking rules or mouthing off to
teachers like Professor Snape. But Harry has a good heart and hates bullies like Draco Malfoy.
It's so much fun watching Harry learn all about magic and wizarding culture with Ron and Hermione by his side. From Quidditch matches to cleaning up after slimy Potions class, every day at Hogwarts is an adventure. Harry gets such a hard time from the Dursleys when he's not at school, so it's great seeing him shine when he's around fellow wizards. He finally fits in somewhere and that's really special.
There are so many amazing characters and creatures in Harry Potter besides just Harry himself. My other favorites are the caring half-giant Hagrid, Harry's loyal owl Hedwig, the mischievous twins Fred and George Weasley, and headmaster Albus Dumbledore with his long silver hair and beard. Of course, Voldemort is an awesomely creepy villain that you can't help but be afraid of. Even though he doesn't have a real body for most of the books, he keeps coming back which is terrifying!
One thing I'll never forget is the big battle at the end of the series when Harry finally defeats Voldemort once and for all. Harry was willing to sacrifice himself to save his friends and stop Voldemort's evil reign of terror. Luckily it didn't come to that, and in the end, good triumphed over evil. It was such an epic
confrontation between the two most powerful wizards in the world. I had goosebumps reading it!
Now that Voldemort is gone for good, Harry can finally live a normal (well, normal for a wizard) life. He ends up marrying his high school sweetheart Ginny Weasley, Ron's younger sister. They have three kids together who are probably going to grow up getting in just as much trouble as Harry, Ron and Hermione did. I hope we get to see stories about Harry's kids having magic adventures at Hogwarts too. That would be awesome!
Even though the books are all finished, I'll never get tired of re-reading the Harry Potter series over and over again. J.K. Rowling created one of the most captivating worlds of all time with such creativity and imagination. Whenever I'm reading about Harry, Ron and Hermione, it feels like I'm right there by their side experiencing everything at Hogwarts alongside them. Harry Potter is hands down my favorite character ever and I can't wait to share the books with my own kids one day. What a legendary story!。
