倪晋仁Ni Jinren
Professor Ni is deputy dean of the College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering at Peking University. He has published more than five books and 100 papers in international journals in the fields of environmental sciences and engineering with particular interests in water-related environments. He is the founder and director of the Key Laboratory of Water and Sediment Sciences, Ministry of Education, and the Institute/Department of Environmental Engineering at PKU presently comprises more than 140 staffs and postgraduate students. Professor Ni estaiblished the Laboratory of Resource and Environmental Engineering at PKU Shenzhen Graduate School, which contains over 40 graduate students now.

Research Interests
GIS applications, GIS spatial modeling and remote sensing applications in research areas of watershed water quality modeling, nutrients and pesticides transport and environmental impact analysis, assessing the ecological risk impact of pesticide use on water quality, TMDL and agricultural water management.
Professional research experience
Faculty member 1996 to present, Research included nutrients and pesticides contaminant transport and watershed water quality modeling to reduce environmental/ecological risk impacts, TMDL, spatial analyses of contaminants using GIS and remote sensing technologies, and GIS and remote sensing applications in agricultural water management. Taught classes relating to “Environmental risk analysis using GIS”, “Spatial analysis tools in ecology”, “BMP to mitigate water quality”, and “Agricultural water quality and irrigated land waiver program”, and “Ecological risks and regulation”.
Research Scientist III, California Department of Pesticide Regulations. 2000-present (concurrent). Research included pesticide use trend analysis and environmental (water quality) impact risk assessments, and developing quantitative research methodologies to address regulatory issues of environmental impacts for policy making.
Senior Research Scientist, Zeneca Ag Product, 1995-2000 (partially concurrent), Research included spatial analyses of groundwater pesticide leaching and surface water pesticide runoffs.
Post Doctoral Associate, UC Davis. 1993-1995. Carried out and completed a USEPA funded project of developing methods to monitor salt marsh wetland ecosystem health using remote sensing and
GIS. Participated the GIS work in mapping old growth forest in the Sierra Nevada Ecosystem Project.

胡敏Hu Min
Professor and doctoral tutor of College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Peking University. Director of State Key Joint Laboratory of Environmental Simulation and Pollution Control.
Professor Hu Min concentrated her research in physical and chemical properties of aerosol and its environmental impacts; chemical conversion for marine emissions - dimethyl sulfide in the atmosphere. She was responsible for the National Science and Technology "863" project "Air Pollution Source Analysis Technology "and one of the" Eleventh Five-Y ear "Plan 863 major projects “Pearl River Delta regional a ir pollution integrated three-dimensional monitoring network and several other national and international projects. She has been carried out cooperative research with several different environment research institutes abroad and kept a long term corporation and exchanges. (For example, Netherlands Energy Research Foundation, Environment Branch in 1996 and 1999; Environmental and Occupational Health Research Institute of United States in 1998; Tropospheric Research in Germany from 2000 to 2004)
In the past five years, Prof. Hu has published over 75 academic journals, 51 of them have been selected by SCI. She has also published a monograph.

吴恩伯Wu Enboa
Dr. Enboa Wu is Vice President and Group Director of Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI). He is responsible for development and commercialization of technologies including LEDs, advanced packaging, photonic components, micro-systems, automotive electronics, wireless healthcare, and energy harvest.
In his previous post as Deputy General Director of ERSO/ITRI (工研院电子所副所长), Taiwan, Dr Wu led two Taiwan’s largest applied research groups and contributed to Taiwan's world-class electronic packaging industry and TFT-LCD industry.
Dr. Wu received his PhD degree from the University of California, Berkeley. As a professor, he served 15 years at National Taiwan University prior to joining ASTRI in 2005. He is a Fellow of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
胡锦国Hu Jinguo
Dr. Jinguo Hu received his M.S. degree in Agronomy from Huazhong (Central China) Agricultural University, Wuhan, China, in 1982 and his Ph.D. in Genetics from the UC Davis in 1989.
Dr. Hu worked in the Department of Vegetable Crops, UCD, from 1989 to 1996, as a postdoctoral fellow then a research geneticist working in the Brassica genome project.
From 1996 to 2002, Dr. Hu worked for the Unilever-Lipton Tomato Technology Center in Stockton, CA, applying molecular technologies to processing tomato improvement.
From 2002 to 2008, Dr. Hu worked as a Research Molecular Geneticist in the USDA-ARS Sunflower Research Unit at Fargo, ND conducting an applied sunflower genomics research.
Since March 2008, Dr. Hu has been the Research Leader of the USDA-ARS Plant Germplasm Introduction and Testing Unit, also known as the W estern Regional Plant Introduction Station in Pullman, Washington directing the research and service of one of the four major genebanks in the United States.

Research Interests:
Plant molecular mechanism of cellulose biosynthesis; molecular structure and function of plant cell wall; bio-energy materials synthesis and plant carbon allocation; bio-energy material degradation and transformation; plants and microbes (yeast) anti-oxidant and anti-environmental stress response signal transduction and molecular channel; bio-molecule DNA breakage and repair mechanism. In addition, the use of modern genetic manipulation techniques and molecular breeding means breeding strong resistance, biological yield and the quality of high-efficient bio-energy crops.
Eric Lam:
Professor in the Department of Plant Biology and Pathology since 1989 and is currently serving as the Director for the Biotechnology Center for Agriculture and the Environment at Rutgers. He also serves on the advisory board for the Rutgers Energy Institute. His research interests include the study of mechanisms that control programmed cell death and stress tolerance in plants, the regulation of global gene expression via chromatin organization, and more recently, the application of genetic engineering approaches in higher plants to facilitate cellulosic fermentation of plant biomass. Dr. Lam is author on over 130 publications in journals including Science and Nature and has been awarded 5 patents relating to biotechnology methods. In addition to actively translating advances from basic research to applications in the field, he is also developing close ties in education and research with partners in Brazil, Germany and China.
