关于中国发展的演讲的英语作文初一上册China's Amazing Development
Hello everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm so excited to talk to you all today about the incredible development happening in China. It's really mind-blowing how much progress my country has made in recent years. Let me tell you all about it!
First of all, I have to mention China's economy. My dad always says that when he was a kid, most people in China were quite poor. But over the past few decades, our economy has grown at a staggering rate. We've gone from being a relatively poor country to the second largest economy in the world after the United States! Tens of millions of people have been lifted out of poverty. Major cities like Beijing and Shanghai are booming with thriving businesses and towering skyscrapers.
My parents like to joke that I was born into the "China Speed" era because things move so rapidly here. New roads, railways, airports, and other infrastructure projects seem to pop up everywhere in no time at all. I remember visiting my grandparents in their small village a few years ago and being amazed at the brand new high-speed rail line thathad been built
right next to their home, connecting their once-isolated area to the rest of the country.
Speaking of transportation, China has some of the most advanced high-speed rail networks, metro systems, and highways in the world now. My favorite is the high-speed bullet trains that can reach mind-blowing top speeds of 350 km/h! I love watching the countryside whiz by through the windows when we visit relatives. It's remarkable how quickly and conveniently we can travel across vast distances thanks to this modern infrastructure.
In major cities, transportation is a breeze with subways, buses, bike shares, and ride-hailing apps like Didi. I've heard horror stories from my parents about the bad old days of traffic gridlock and pollution before the government made huge investments in public transit and new energy vehicles. Beijing's skies are much bluer than they were in my parents' childhood!
China's technological progress has been extraordinary too. We manufacture most of the world's computers, smartphones, and tech gadgets. Chinese companies like Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi and others are global leaders in 5G, mobile technology and consumer electronics. We even have our own globally popular
apps and services that many of you have probably used, like TikTok, WeChat, and Alibaba.
Artificial intelligence, quantum computing, aerospace technology - China is blazing trails and making incredible scientific breakthroughs in all sorts of cutting-edge fields. Who knows what world-changing innovations will come next? My dream is to become an engineer or scientist to contribute to this wave of technological transformation.
I also have to mention China's space program, which has grown by leaps and bounds. We've sent astronauts into orbit, landed rovers on the Moon and Mars, and even have a permanent space station orbiting Earth! Watching rocket launches on TV gives me a huge sense of national pride. I can't wait until we eventually send explorers to the Moon and beyond.
Our country's cultural influence keeps growing too, with our movies, TV shows, music, and celebrity figures gaining massive global popularity. Maybe someday the hot new mobile game or superhero movie franchise will come from China instead of Hollywood! The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics was a smash hit that allowed us to show off our organizational prowess and modern cities to the whole world.
While we've made amazing progress in development, we certainly still face major challenges. Like many nations, we have problems with pollution, income inequality, and resource shortages that leaders are working hard to solve. Climate change is a serious threat to all of humanity that China and other countries must cooperate to address. Building a more sustainable, eco-friendly society is crucial for our future.
Despite these difficulties, I'm extremely optimistic about where we're headed. The upward trajectory seems unstoppable based on our remarkable achievements of the past few decades. With continued hard work, determination and national unity, there's no limit to what China can accomplish in the years and decades ahead! I truly believe the future will belong to us.
