Eventually we could read whole sentences and short passages! Writing was the toughest for me though. Forming letters correctly is so hard at this age. But our teacher had us trace letters, copy words and sentences, and even try some basic sentence writing. Little by little, it's getting easier.Hands-on activities played a big role in consolidating what we learned too. We did craftwork related to the topics, played roles in performances, and used gestures and motions while singing songs. My favorite was the coloring activities - I lovedbringing those pictures to life with vivid colors while practicing new words.Apart from the textbook content, we also picked up lots of fun extras like:Nursery rhymes (Twinkle Twinkle, BINGO, ABC song)Tongue twisters (she sells sea shells...)Chants ("If you're happy and you know it...")Popular kids songs (Baby Shark, Wheels on the Bus)Reciting and singing these really helped the language stick in my brain.
