Something about western families

Western families advocate equality in daily life. The husband and the wife usually have an equality voice in decision-making, and on certain matters, the children, too, have a vote. In the western, most old people do not live with their children or relatives. If they have enough money they will buy house or apartments in places where other old people live .If they do not healthy and strong enough to live alone, they would rather live in nursing houses for old people than be taken by their children. Therefore they want to stay young because youth stands for hope and energy, they do not like to grow old because they will not gain honor, respect or attention as old people .
2..Addressing

In China, the surname comes first and then the given name. While westerners names are written and spoken with the given name first and the family name last.

Western:
1. Western culture is based on individualism rather than on mass (collectivism). For instance, in the US, you always talk about individual rights, instead of placing the whole society above your own self. This is clearly different in China where a country, society or family are placed above your own self.
Chinese:

5. To resolve human and spiritualism, chinese emphasizes internal cultivation (修身 养性)
Western:
6. A culture that expands and develop ou Nhomakorabeawards.
Chinese:

Western:
4. West uses law to resolve people and people's relationship. You can never find 'law' well-established in China. For 2000 years, China is a land that's based on human relationship rather than law.
Chinese:

1. A culture based on masses (collectivism). People placed country and family above your own self.
Western:
2. Western culture is adventurous and exploration based. Westerners like to discover new things, invention and expand outwards. For instance, bungee jumping is considered adventurous and common in western culture, but you will probably find no-one doing such a thing in China.
Chinese:

6. A focus on balance and mean. By 'mean', it means 'middle way'. You don't go into extremism. Peace is always honoured.
Chinese:

7. Pay homage to heaven and earth, as well as bearing a remembrance to the homeland. (敬仰天地,思乡怀土) This was accorded to the fact that chinese had been a farming civilization and therefore will be more prone to remember their land.
The end
Chinese:

8. A culture that expands internally rather than outwards. Some of the disadvantage of old chinese culture:
Summary:
. Westerners believe in individualism, and Chinese believe in collectivism. 2. The Western culture has the freedom to express affection freely, whereas the Chinese culture is puritanical. 3. Western and Chinese philosophies are unique and entirely different to each other. 4. The Chinese believe in relationships, and searching for inner bliss and happiness through meditation. 5. The Western culture believes in a materialistic approach, and has a pragmatic and emotional attitude.
Chinese:

4. To resolve people and people's relationship, chinese uses ethics and tolerance (中恕之道)
Western:
5. West uses 'god' and religion to resolve human and spiritualism relationship. In case of problems with your own self, you just pray to god.
Chinese:

2. A culture that is based on humanism and people
Western :
3. Western culture is based on science, which attempts to resolve people and nature's relationship.
The Difference between Chinese and Western Culture
Chinese vs Western Culture
The major difference
The major difference between Chinese and Western culture is that China is an oriental country, and its traditional culture is completely different from western heritage. Chinese culture is older than 5000 years, and Chinese people have developed their own music, musical instruments, painting techniques, traditional Chinese medicine, and not to forget, cooking methods etc – completely different and unique when compared to Western culture. Chinese believe in healthy eating, and have a holistic approach towards health. The Western culture is more advanced, and loves adventure and exploration. The Chinese focus more on collective gain instead of individual gain by making the right decisions, and believe in adopting a middle way to avoid extremism.
