动词不定式(短语)的句法功能非常广泛,在句中可作主语、宾语、补足语、表语、定语及状语等成分。

一、作宾语常见的后面接动词不定式作宾语的动词有:hope, decide, want, try, offer, learn, agree, plan等。

如:The teacher asks to finish the work in three hours.My family plan to go to America this summer holiday.They decided not to visit the zoo.二、双宾语双宾语由直接宾语和间接宾语组成。

直接宾语是谓语动词的承受者,间接宾语表示谓语动作的方向(对谁做)或动作的目标(为谁做),间接宾语紧接在谓语动词后,但它不能单独存在。

它和直接宾语组成双宾语。

Please show me your passport.请把护照给我看一下。

(your passport是直接宾语,me是间接宾语)间接宾语可以用一个由to 表示动作方向或for 表示动作目标引起的短语来表示。

这时,间接宾语置于直接宾语之后。

我们可以把上面例句改写为:Please show your passport to me.常见的可以接双宾语的动词有:give, bring, lend, pass, send, show, leave, buy, tell, teach, sell 等。
