(2)insist后面可以跟that引导的宾语从句。

若宾语从句部分指的是说话人某个事实或某个观点正确，则宾语从句用陈述语气。

若宾语从句部分不是指说话人强调的一个事实而是表示“坚持要求”的意思时，宾语从句用虚拟语气，也就是谓语动词用“should+动词原形”，should可以省略而直接用动词原形。

He insisted that he did not steal the book from the library．他坚持认为他没有偷图书馆的书。

The suspect insisted that he was not guilty．这个嫌疑犯坚持认为他没有罪。

She insisted that she(should)finish the work by herself．她坚持要求自己独立完成这项工作。

2．一I don’t like horror films．They’re terrible．—Neither do I．(P102)“neither／nor+(be动词或情态动词或助动词)特殊词+主语”意为“……也不……”，表示前者否定的情况也适合于后者。

当后者和前者表达肯定观点时．用“so+be动词或情态动词或助动词+主语”结构，意为“……(的情况)也是如此”。

使用此句型需注意以下几点：(1)内容是肯定时，用so，内容是否定时，用neither或nor。

(2)“特殊词”与前句中的情态动词、助动词或be动词相同，并且保持时态一致。

(3)“特殊词”的人称和数与其后的主语一致。

(4)“特殊词”本身没有否定形式。

You are young and so am I．你年轻，我也年轻。

She likes art and so do I．她喜欢艺术，我也喜欢。

If he can pass the exam，so can I．如果他能通过考试，我也能。

Tom never goes to concerts and neither does his wife．汤姆从来不去音乐会，他的妻子也从来不去。

一I didn’t sleep well last night．昨晚我睡得不好。

一Neither did I．我也没睡好。

She hasn’t read the novel and nor have I．她没有读过那本小说，我也没有。

【语法点拨】一、though与although引导的让步状语从句1．although和though作连词时，意为“尽管，即使”．用来引导让步状语从句，一般位于句首。

Though／Although it was raining，we went there．虽然下着雨，但我们还是去了那儿。

Though／Although it was only 4 o’clock，the lights were already on．尽管才四点钟，灯已经亮了。

2．although和though所引导的从句不能与并列连词but，and，so等连用，但可以与yet，still等连用。

Many children like to eat junk food though／although it is not healthy．尽管垃圾食品不健康，但许多孩子还是喜欢吃。

(√)Though／A1though junk food is not healthy，yet many children like to eat it．(×)Though／Although junk food is not healthy，but many children like to eat it．3．though除了作连词外，还可以作副词，意为“可是，然而”；但although 不可以。

如：It was hard work，I enioyed it，though．这是项艰苦的工作，然而我喜欢。

二、so…that和such…that引导的结果状语从句1．so修饰形容词和副词，such修饰名词。

如：My sister felt so tired that she fell sleep soon．我妹妹太累了，以至于很快就睡着了。

The boy ran so fast that l couldn’t catch him．那个男孩跑这么快，我没能追上他。

This is such a good book that all of us like it very much．这是一本很好的书，我们大家都喜欢它。

2．当名词前有many，much，few，little等词修饰时，只能用so，不能用such。

如：There are so many people over there that we can’t find any room．那里有如此多的人，以至于我们根本找不到任何地方。

三、so that引导的目的状语从旬1．so that意为“以便。

为了”，引导目的状语从句。

此时可与in order that 换用；从句谓语前常用情态动词may／might，can／could，should，would等；主从句间连接紧凑，没有逗号相隔。

如：My old grandfather began to study computer at the age of 60 so that(=in order that)he might keep up with times．我年迈的爷爷60岁时开始学习电脑，以便跟上时代。

Mr Green spoke very loudly so that all the people could hear him clearly．格林先生大声讲话以便所有人都能听得清楚。

2．so that引导目的状语从句时，可以与表目的的动词不定式(not)to do ／so as(not)to do／in order(not)to do互换。

但主从句主语必须一致，否则不能互换。

She hurried to school so that she might not be late．=She hurried to school in order not to be late．她急忙往学校赶，以免迟到。
