They found out it was much younger, so that meant the mastication of grain probably occurred long after people had begun to live in the villages.1 2 3 45how to determine the date of settlementNow let we discuss the proper way to dig for the assign in an archaeological site, let's turn on our attention to the kinds of objects we might excavate there and what they could tell us about colonial life here on the east coast of North America. One thing we hope to learn when we study the buttons or the broken dishes or other artifacts that got from the site is just how long ago people were living there. So one of the most useful finds obviously would be a coin. But even a object doesn't have a year stamp right on it can still have the archaeologists to determine just when the site was being used. And that information will tell us how long ago settlers were living in that site and can help us date the other artifacts found there. There are similarities in the kind of plants and animals and settlers. I take what I call a bottom-up approach to study of the culture. TOEFL Junior：小托福备考要注重日常知识积累！小马过河托福专业的师资团队，为您的托福之路保驾护航！首先想说的是写作部分。
这部分是我付出精力比较多的一个单项，最后的成绩也还是没有辜负之前的努力，所以介绍一些个人的小经验给大家。
先说说综合写作方面，这部分主要还是要把握好总体关系及听力中的每一点和文章中的每一点。
字数不用太多，注重质量，说明白就可以了，言多必失嘛。
独立写作其实就是写议论文，主要要有自己的思想在里面，要有自己的观点。
我没用模板，但是也不是毫无准备裸着就去考了。
还是积累了一些好的句型和表达方式，个人认为背诵经典教材的文章是个不错的选择，对写作很有帮助，写起来首先不会言之无物，其次文章的整体会很流畅。
写作部分还要提醒大家的就是要注意最后的检查。
诸如单复数、主谓不一致、元音前误用了a 而不是an 之类的错误，还有一些打字时的手误很容易就能查出来。
但如果为此丢分就实在很不值了。
口语可能是很多人比较薄弱的环节，我也曾经一度很担心自己的口语，但是其实只要掌握好方法，并且多加练习，口语并没有想象中那么难。
我觉得口语方面还是要多练、多说才能够达到提高的目的。
我平时采用最多的方法就是跟读和模仿，比如VOA,BBC 还有很多经典的电影对白都是很好的材料。
口语的资料积累也是很重要的部分，只有有准备才会有的说嘛。
这方面我没有投入很大的精力，但却取得了很不错的效果。
我的托福成绩整体还是很让我满意的，各个单项的成绩也比较平均。
现在跟大家简单的叙述一下我备考的过程，谈不上经验，但至少是经历，希望对“后来人”有所帮助。
1.小马过河小托福提示：注重词汇的积累。
Junior考试虽然是针对初中生的，但是不论是从句子表达的需要也好，还是到美国入学后的长远打算也好，扩展自己的词汇量永远都是不变的要求。
不必单纯地死记硬背，可以尝试着在阅读文章、做阅读题的同时消化、理解新的单词，做到词语和句篇的全面理解和掌握。
尤其是可以收集记忆一些基础性的学科词汇，如fossil(化石)，deposit(沉积物)，lava(岩浆)等，这对学术类文章的阅读有很大帮助。
