小学英语作文:如何学好英语 How to Learn English

小学英语作文:如何学好英语 How to Learn English范文一:As English is one of the main subjects that the Chinese students have to take up, learning English becomes prevalence. More and more students find it hard to learn English, because it is fresh to them. Depending on different personality, experience and background, different people may have different menthods to learn English. In my opinion, interest and practice are the best ways to learn English.Firstly, interest is the best teacher. No matter who wants learn or do something, interest is the bestcatalyst. Having interest, peole will feel easier to complete things. So does learning English. If any one feels difficulty in learning English, the first thing he should consider is to develop his interest on English.Secondly, practice makes perfect. The most common way to learn English is practise more. Nothing would be difficult with practice. For example, if someone find it hard to remember vocabulary, he can see the word everyday before he goes to sleep. I’m sure he will remember words quickly. All in all, there is no fast way to learn English well, except work hard. But if people have interest on English and knows theimportance of practice, they will master it sooner or later. 由于英语成为中国学生主要课程之一,学习英语就变得流行了。

大学校园是否应该禁止方言英语作文

大学校园是否应该禁止方言英语作文

大学校园是否应该禁止方言英语作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1Should Dialects Be Banned on Campus? A Kid's TakeHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. My teacher asked us to write about whether we think universities should ban people from speaking dialects or versions of English that aren't considered "proper" or "standard." It's a really big question with lots to think about, so I'll share my perspective as a kid.First off, what even is a dialect? From what I understand, a dialect is a form of a language that has different words, pronunciations, or grammar rules compared to what is considered the "standard" version. Like how in the South they might say "y'all" instead of "you all." Or in New York they drop the "r" sound, so "car" becomes "cah." Dialects happen naturally when a language spreads to different regions. So should colleges ban these different ways of speaking English on campus? I can see arguments on both sides. Those who think dialects should be banned might say that there needs to be one clear, standardized version of English used in highereducation. Having a common way to communicate prevents misunderstandings. It also looks more professional. Maybe they would argue that students should leave their informal dialects at home and use proper academic English in the classroom and on papers. But then again, your dialect is a part of your culture and identity. It's how you naturally speak based on where you're from. Telling folks they can't use their dialect might feel like a form of discrimination - like their way of speaking isn't good enough. That doesn't seem very fair or inclusive to me. College is supposed to be a place that brings together different perspectives and backgrounds. Wouldn't suppressing dialects go against that?Personally, I don't think banning dialects is the way to go. Sure, in super formal academic writing you'd want to use standard English formatting and grammar. But in everyday conversations, during discussions and even on speaking assignments, why shouldn't you be allowed to use your natural dialect? It's a part of who you are. As long as you can effectively communicate your point, does it really matter if you say "walking" instead of "walkin'" or "this" instead of "dis?"I could understand having guidelines that certainhigh-stakes situations like big presentations need to stick to very proper, conventional English. But a total ban seems way too far in my opinion. College campuses are meant to be places of diversity and exchange of ideas. If we start cracking down on how people choose to speak based on their backgrounds, that goes against the whole purpose. It sends the wrong message about what is and isn't valued.Instead of rules against dialects, I think the focus should be on making sure all students have a strong grasp of communicating clearly in standard English. That way, they can code-switch between their dialect and "academic English" depending on the context. Offer resources, tutoring, and practice with formal writing and speaking rather than prohibitions. Meet students where they are instead of rejecting a part of their identity. That's my two cents, at least! At the end of the day, language is fluid and evolving. New dialects emerge as English spreads across communities. Rather than trying to legislate them out of existence on campuses, we should embrace the diversity. As long as the ideas and knowledge can be conveyed effectively, a little linguistic variation isn't a bad thing in my book. But of course, I'm just a10-year-old kid - what do I know? Those are just my thoughts, but I'm really curious to hear other perspectives on this big debate. Let me know what you all think!篇2Should We Ban Accent Talk on College Campuses?Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. My teacher Mrs. Robertson asked us to write about whether we think college kids should be allowed to speak in accents on their school grounds. It's a pretty grown-up topic, but I'll give it a try!First off, what even is an accent? Well, from what I understand, it's basically a way of speaking that sounds a little different from how most people talk. Like how my buddy Miguel says "cazz" instead of "cars" because Spanish is his family's first language. Or how my friend Emily from Alabama says "y'all" a lot instead of "you all."So should colleges make rules saying nobody can talk in accents like that? I think it would be pretty mean to ban accents completely. Here's why:Accents Show Our CulturesHaving an accent doesn't mean you don't speak the language well. It just means you picked it up from your family, hometown, or other influences when you were little. My dad is from Boston and says "park the car" like "pahk the cah" - that's his New England accent showing his roots! Accents are a part of our identity and where we come from. Banning them would be like saying kids have to hide their backgrounds.Everyone Speaks DifferentlyYou know how some words have those funny squiggly lines over the vowels in our spelling books? Like "naïve" or "jalapeño"? Those show that the vowels make a different sound than usual. Well, to me seeing those words is like hearing someone speak in an accent - it's just a variation from the "standard." As long as we can all understand each other okay, a little accent shouldn't matter. We're not all robots who have to speak exactly the same way! It's Hard to Change AccentsHave you ever tried to imitate an accent like British or Southern? It's really hard! Accents are baked into our brains from hearing certain sounds over and over as babies. Most people can't just switch their accents off unless they spend tons of time practicing. My Auntie Em is from England and has lived here for20 years but still can't fully lose her British accent. It's too deeply programmed! So it wouldn't be fair to expect college students to totally ditch their accent while on campus. That's just unnatural.Accents Keep Languages AliveYou know that big diversity quote about cultures being like flowers in a garden? Well, I think accents are like different colors of the same type of flower. They're all still flowers, just with their own unique beauty. If we get rid of all accents, languages could eventually lose their variety and die out. By keeping accents around, we get to celebrate the amazingness of how humans communicate in so many cool ways around the world!College Is for Exploring DifferencesFrom what I know, college is a place where you get to meet people from all kinds of backgrounds who see the world differently than you. Part of that experience is hearing new accents and ways of speaking. If everyone just talked in the same monotone voice, it would be super boring! Accents keep college kids' ears curious about all the diversity around them.So in conclusion, while I can see why some people might want everyone to speak in one standardized way, I don't think banning accents entirely is the right solution. Accents are acherished part of culture, really hard to change completely, and make life more interesting overall. As long as students can communicate clearly, we should appreciate the accents around us as vibrant examples of humankind's amazing languages. They add color to our worlds!Plus, just imagine how boring it would be if everyone sounded like a robot or talking doll. No thanks! I'll take the lovely accents, thank you very much. What do you think - should we let college kids speak however they like, accents and all? Those are just my 0.02, but I'd love to hear your perspective too. Accents or no accents, at least we can all agree that languages themselves are pretty neat, right?篇3Should Dialects Be Banned on College Campuses?Hiya! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. My teacher Mrs. Roberts asked us to write an essay about whether universities should allow students to speak different kinds of English or make everyone use standard English. It's a pretty tricky topic if you ask me!First off, what even are dialects? Well, a dialect is a version of a language that has different words, grammar, and pronunciation from the standard way that language is spoken. Like how in the South they say "y'all" instead of "you all." Or in New York they might say "stawp" for "stop." Those are dialects of English. Some people think universities shouldn't let students use dialects on campus. They say everyone needs to learn "proper" standard English to succeed in careers and life. If you can't speak standard English, they think you'll look uneducated or unprofessional. But I don't really agree with banning dialects at colleges. Here's why:For one, dialects are a huge part of people's cultures and identities. Like Hispanic students speaking Spanglish, which mixes Spanish and English words. Or Black students using African American Vernacular English with slang like "finna" for "fixing to." Forcing them to only speak standard English could feel like rejecting their backgrounds. It's kinda like this: Imagine you moved to a new country where you had to completely change how you speak, act, and express yourself just to fit in. That would be really hard and unfair, right? You'd probably feel sad about losing touch with your roots. Also, being bilingual or multilingual is awesome! Speaking multiple dialects means you know different communication styles. That's a mad skill that could help people from diverse backgrounds understand each other better.Plus, research shows that allowing dialects at school doesn't actually hurt students' ability to learn standard English when needed for formal situations. They can master "code-switching" between dialects easily if given a supportive environment. It's like how I speak one way with my friends, using slang and abbreviations like "srsly" for "seriously." But then I know to use fuller sentences and fancier vocab when giving a class presentation. Code-switching between casual and formal language is normal for multilingual kids like me. The same logic applies to college students who know multiple dialects of English. So in my opinion, colleges shouldn't ban dialects outright. It's better to celebrate the diversity of communication styles students bring. Universities could even offer dialect classes to help everyone understand each other's backgrounds better. At the same time, colleges should still teach students standard English skills for professional writing, public speaking, and research. Having cultural sensitivity plus mastery of academic English gives grads a competitive edge.In the working world, there will be situations requiring standard English, sure. But there's also loads of value in knowing how to code-switch between dialects depending on context. That's a power skill for connecting across cultures and communities. So keep an open mind, grown-ups! Don't dismiss dialects as "improper" English. They're just different ways of expressing ourselves that make the world more interesting and rich. Let students flaunt their linguistic pride without stawpping their identities at the campus gates. Those are my two cents, for what it's worth coming from a fifth grader! Let me know if you agree or disagree. I'd be keen to hear your perspective, for srsly.。

english is difficult to learn

english is difficult to learn

english is difficult to learnEnglish is widely regarded as one of the most challenging languages to learn. It is a complex language with a rich vocabulary and a multitude of intricate grammar rules. Learners face numerous difficulties, including pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions. However, with determination and the right approach, mastering the English language is undoubtedly achievable. One of the primary challenges of learning English is pronunciation. English has many irregular spellings and silent letters, making it difficult for learners to accurately pronounce words. Unlike some languages with consistent phonetic rules, English has many exceptions and variations. For example, words like "rough" and "cough" have completely different sounds, despite sharing similar spellings. Moreover, English has a wide range of regional accents and dialects, which can further complicate pronunciation for non-native speakers.Another challenging aspect of English is its grammar. English grammar rules can be confusing, with numerous exceptions and irregularities. For instance, verb conjugations can be complicated, and irregular verbs do not follow standard patterns. Nouns can also be tricky, as they do not have gender distinctions like many other languages. Additionally, word order in English can vary depending on the sentence structure, which can cause confusion for learners accustomed to a fixed word order.Vocabulary is another difficulty in learning English. English has a vast lexicon, with an estimated 170,000 words in current use. Newwords are continuously added, and there are numerous synonyms and homophones that can be confusing for learners. Furthermore, English borrows words from many different languages, resulting in a diverse range of vocabulary with different origins and meanings. Navigating this vast vocabulary requires memorization, context comprehension, and practice.Idiomatic expressions and colloquialisms pose another challenge in learning English. Native speakers frequently use idioms, which are phrases whose meanings cannot be derived from the individual words used. For example, the phrase "break a leg" means "good luck" in English. To understand and use these expressions correctly, learners need to have a deep understanding of the language, its cultural context, and its historical development.Despite these challenges, there are effective approaches to learning English. Developing a strong foundation in grammar rules is essential, as it provides a framework for constructing sentences correctly. Immersion in the language through reading, watching movies, or engaging in conversations with native speakers is also helpful in acquiring vocabulary and improving comprehension. Practicing speaking and listening skills regularly, either through language exchange programs or online resources, can enhance pronunciation and fluency. It is also crucial to be patient and persistent, as mastery of any language takes time and dedication. In conclusion, English is undoubtedly a difficult language to learn due to its complex pronunciation, intricate grammar rules, expansive vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions. Nonetheless, with perseverance and the right learning techniques, masteringEnglish is an achievable goal. The key lies in building a strong foundation, practicing regularly, and immersing oneself in English to develop fluency and comprehension.。

学校是否禁止方言英语作文

学校是否禁止方言英语作文{z}Title: Should Schools Ban Dialects? In recent years, there has been a heated debate on whether schools should ban dialects and enforce the use of standard English. While some argue that using dialects hampers students" mastery of standard English, others contend that dialects should be respected and preserved as part of cultural heritage. Those in favor of banning dialects argue that using non-standard English in schools hinders students" ability to communicate effectively in the globalized world. They believe that students who are exposed to dialects may struggle with pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary when they enter the workforce or pursue higher education.Furthermore, they argue that schools have a responsibility to prepare students for the demands of the modern world, and that means teaching them standard English. However, opponents of the ban argue that dialects are an essential part of cultural identity and diversity. They argue that banning dialects stigmatizes students who speak dialects, leading to feelings of shame and exclusion. Moreover, they believe that students can learn standard English while still embracing their cultural heritage, and that banning dialects does not necessarily lead to better language skills. In my opinion, schools should find a balance between teachingstandard English and respecting students" cultural backgrounds. While it is important for students to learn standard English to succeed in the globalized world, it is also important to recognize the value of dialects in preserving cultural heritage and promoting diversity.Schools can encourage the use of standard English in formal settings, such as classrooms and presentations, while allowing students to use dialects in informal settings, such as during breaks and social activities.Additionally, schools can provide additional support for students who need help with standard English, such as English as a Second Language (ESL) classes or tutoring programs. In conclusion, the question of whether schools should ban dialects is a complex one with valid arguments on both sides.Ultimately, schools should strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment that respects students" cultural backgrounds while teaching them the necessary skills to succeed in the modern world.。

How wonderful it is to know that! The standards also guided me on how to improve my comprehensive ability. They encouraged reading various English materials to enhance comprehension. Oh, what a great help it was! I started to read English stories and articles, and my vocabulary and understanding grew significantly. In conclusion, these standards are not just some papers but a precious guide for us learners. It has brought about significant changes in the way English is taught and learned.I have noticed a remarkable shift in teaching methods. Teachers are no longer just lecturing; they are engaging students in interactive activities, group discussions, and real-life scenarios. For instance, in one class, the teacher organized a role-play activity where students had to act out a shopping scene in English. This not only made the learning process fun but also enhanced students' language skills and confidence. How wonderful is that? The curriculum standards have also played a crucial role in guiding the compilation of textbooks. They ensure that the materials are up-to-date, relevant, and diverse. Textbooks now incorporate various cultural elements, interesting stories, and practical exercises. This makes learning English more enjoyable and effective. In conclusion, the Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards have been a game-changer. They have revolutionized teaching methods and improved the quality of learning. How can we not appreciate and embrace such positive changes? In thepast, those in rural areas might have struggled to access quality English learning resources compared to their urban counterparts. But now, with these standards in place, they all have the same opportunities to learn and develop their language skills. The curriculum standards ensure that no matter where a student is located or what their background is, they receive a well-structured and comprehensive English education. Isn't this a huge step forward? For instance, in some remote villages, schools now follow the same teaching guidelines and use similar teaching materials as those in big cities. This means that children in these areas can also build a solid foundation in English and have the chance to pursue higher education or better career opportunities. How wonderful it is to see that the gap between urban and rural English education is gradually narrowing! The Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards are like a guiding light, shining equally on every student, giving them all the hope and possibility to excel in the language. This is not just a set of standards; it's a promise of a fair and inclusive education for all.篇5Oh my goodness! After reading the "Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards", I am truly filled with a plethora of thoughts and emotions. This standard is not just a set of rules, but a guiding light forstudents' English learning journey. The importance of it in cultivating cross-cultural communication skills cannot be overstated. Take, for example, in the language learning process, we come across various cultural elements such as festivals, customs, and values. Through the curriculum, we not only learn the language itself but also deeply understand the background and connotations of these cultural manifestations. This enables us to have a more comprehensive and accurate understanding of foreign cultures, breaking down the barriers of cultural differences.I still remember an international exchange activity I participated in. Thanks to the knowledge and skills I acquired from the curriculum, I was able to communicate smoothly with foreign friends. I could introduce our traditional culture with confidence and also show my respect and understanding of their cultures. It was such a wonderful experience! In conclusion, the "Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards" is of great significance. It equips us with the necessary tools to embrace the world and promotes mutual understanding and communication among different cultures. How amazing it is!。

Better To Learn Standard English
China English is used by Chinese people in china. Having Standard English as its core, china English has its features of demonstrating the culture of Chinese speakers. But for an ordinary English learner, one is not encouraged to use as many CE as possible.
As it mentioned, CE is just used within china and its applicability is limited. It will cause confusion in a conversation between foreigners and Chinese CE speakers. For example, “Four Books”and“Five Classics”are well known to Chinese but foreigners cannot quite understand it. Since English is a universal language, it is expected to play a good role as a bridge in the export and export of culture. In this case, the use of Standard English better serves the aim.
Most Chinese learners have formed the way of thinking before they started to learn English and the way of Chinese thinking must have a great influence in learning English. They express Chinese culture in China English, but they are clumsy at doing it. Say “Good good study, day day up”embodies the mot of traditional Chinese culture. While we look through the sentence in a more professional aspect, it organizes the words in a totally wrong way from which we should say it doesn’t follow the syntactic rule of Standard English. People may create new words and phrase in China English, but thanks to the different cognitive style, figures
of speech, literary style and discourse structure from English culture to Chinese culture, many of them are not officially recognized and being accepted by native speakers. Every culture is unique, so is the language itself. We should respect the western culture behind the English language and make good use of it to transform our culture on the premise of mastering them well.
In the face not only of china but also of the whole world, Chinese learner should strictly follow the way of spelling words and making sentences in Standard English which is considerably important in the first stage of learning English.。
