Marco Polo

使学生掌握文章中的新单词和重要短语(wealthy, author, stand by,break out, put into prison 等);2.

Time: 40 min Target students: Senior 1Step 1: Pre-reading (5 min)1.To use pictures and questions to lead in the topic(1) Pictures: ice cream and pizza(2) QuestionsQ1: Originally, where were they from?(Key: China)Q2: Who brought them form China into Europe?(Key:Marco Polo)目的意图:引出话题,留下悬念,激发学生的兴趣活动方式:全班参与2.To have a brief introduction to Marco PoloMarco Polo was a famous traveler(旅行者)who has been to China.
