本课是依托外研版八年级(下)第4模块Seeing the doctor的话题所设计的。本单元的话题为看医生。本课为听说课,教学内容为医生在给病人看病时的对话。由于教材中Unit 1的对话信息量较小,无法满足学生的需求,因此教师在设计本课时选取了内容与课本对话相似但信息量更为丰富的对话。

分析
本课的授课对象为初二学生,对英语学习和对与实际生活中联系紧密的话题具有较浓厚的学习兴趣,大部分学生能具有良好的学习习惯,能够积极参与课堂。在语言能力方面,已经具备了一定的与本话题相关的词汇量。在听力理解方面,已经具备在教师的引领下听懂所选的对话大意,获取其主要信息的能力。在口语表达方面,具备能够利用课上所学内容来编相似话题的简单对话的能力。
