While technology addicts teens to their devices, they are not helpless against the draw of it. Here are five ways educators can support their students' digital well-being. Explore design tricks companies use. The technology we use daily is designed to catch and hold our attention. Companies know what keeps our eyes on the screen. To help, teachers can unpack design tricks and explain how companies employ features like auto-play to get users to stay on their apps. 36 Talk about how technology can increase feelings of anxiety. The decline in youth mental health is associated with an increase in social media use. 37 We can help our students by allowing them to consider the benefits of technology and then to think about changing the habits that aren't serving their well-being.38 S ocial media can bring the feeling: “All my friends have better lives than me.” Plus, design features like “read receipts” can lead to teens knowing their messages have been seen and stressing about why friends haven't yet replied. These are classic examples of thinking traps. Identifying them can help teens get rid of some negative thoughts.Uncover the ways that AI can play a role in misinformation. AI is rapidly transforming the world. Recommendation algorithms(算法), which determine what we do and do not see on our feeds and in our search results, can have very real consequences. 39 By understanding how these technologies work, students can start to enjoy more benefits of technology. Ifyou've ever hiked a mountain, you know it's a physical challenge, especially when you're carrying your food and shelter on your back. 2"How much farther is it?""My pack is too heavy, can you carry it for me?"The reply of the teachers was, “Suck it up.” The truth is, the complaining campers were nowhere near the point of exhaustion (疲惫) . If they had been, the teachers would have noticed the signs and given them care. 3 Once they realized they weren't getting any sympathy (同情) they overcame the discomfort, and in most cases ended up having a great time.4 You can complain, or you can make the best of it. If you complain, you might feel like you're getting the negative energy out, but you're probably not going to cause a positive change.
技巧1 把握形似,确定段落标题句【经典感悟】[2023·全国甲卷]·__39__So many of us have the belief that being comfortable is the only state we will tolerate, and when we experience something outside of our comfort zone, we get impatient about the circumstances. You should learn to say to yourself, “40.Thisismerelyuncomfortable,notintolerable.” You'll then gradually become more patient.A.Find your causesB.Start with small tasksC.Accept the uncomfortableD.All this adds up to a state of hurryE.It can also help us practice more patienceF.This is merely uncomfortable, not intolerableG.They're all situations where we could use a little extra patience【答题微点】[解析] 根据本段内容“So many of us have the belief that being comfortable is the only state we will tolerate, and when we experience something outside of our comfort zone, we get impatient about the circumstances.”

Well, it all begins with taking care of one's own spirit and keeping a positive attitude. The following are practical things that anyone can do. 11. Greet everyone and wish them well.2 You're a team, for you're all present in that location together, for the whole process of the event. So open up and join the team from the beginning.2. Shine your own light.Never mind what or how others are doing. 3 Put away the iPhone, iPad etc., and be present with your own light so that it shines purely.3. 4 Express thanks for the weather, the furniture, the other people attending the event, and the opportunity to be there. There is not one of us alive, not me or anyone else, who ever feels certainty about their purpose or path. If they do, they're fooling themselves. 3No one ever feels they've found the perfect productivity routine, or the perfect version of themselves. 4We all feel uncertainty, all day, and we all struggle with it. Some people have grown more comfortable with it than others, but in general no one likes uncertainty.5 That's perfectly OK, perfectly normal. Don't run from it. Ignoring the value and contribution of nature to our well being is life threatening. 34 Inside. For 98 per cent of Australian children, “Watching TV or videos out of school hours re-mains the most common recreational activity of children aged5 to 14 years.”A report in 2006 noted that “Not only was the participation rate highest for'watching tel-evision or DVDs', on average, children involved spent more time on this activity than on any of the other selected activities.”A couple of years ago the Australian national de-pression initiative, Beyond Blue engaged Associate Professor Mardie Townsend of Deakin Universitu's Fac-ulty of Health, Medicine,Nursing and Behavioural Sciences to investigate any health benefits from including the outdoors in our lives. She observed, “Experiencing nature in an outdoor setting can help tackle not only physical health problems such as obesity and heart disease, but also mental health problems-and there is plenty of evidence to support the claim.”I'm not suggesting that everyone need spend 738 days hugging a tree.
