二、重点及难点: if引导的条件状语从句的用法一)时态呼应一般来讲,复合句都要遵循主、从句时态呼应规律,状语从句也不例外。

即主句用现在时,从句也用现在时;主句用过去时,从句也用过去的某种时态。

具体地讲,主句是一般现在时(包括祈使句和含有情态动词can, may, must等),从句也用一般现在时。

例如:Have a good rest if you are tired. 如果你累了,就好好休息一会儿吧。

Y ou must see the doctor if you are ill. 如果你生病了,就必须去看医生。

这里提醒大家特别要注意:如果主句是一般将来时态,这时从句不可以用将来时态,而要用一般现在时。

例如:I won’t go there with you if it rains tomorrow.如果明天下雨的话,我就不和你一起去那儿了。

If we do nothing, there will be only standing room on the earth.假如我们不采取任何措施,地球上将只有站的地方了。

二)主从句的位置大多数情况下,从句可以位于主句之前,也可以位于主句之后。

不过从句在前时,主从句之间必须用逗号隔开。

重点及难点:if引导的条件状语从句的用法①时态呼应一般来讲,复合句都要遵循主、从句时态呼应规律,状语从句也不例外。

即主句用现在时,从句也用现在时;主句用过去时,从句也用过去的某种时态。

具体地讲,主句是一般现在时(包括祈使句和含有情态动词can, may, must等),从句也用一般现在时。

例如:Have a good rest if you are tired. 如果你累了,就好好休息一会儿吧。

Y ou must see the doctor if you are ill. 如果你生病了,就必须去看医生。

这里提醒大家特别要注意:如果主句是一般将来时态,这时从句不可以用将来时态,而要用一般现在时。

例如:I won’t go there with you if it rains tomorrow.如果明天下雨的话,我就不和你一起去那儿了。

If we do nothing, there will be only standing room on the earth.假如我们不采取任何措施,地球上将只有站的地方了。

②主从句的位置大多数情况下,从句可以位于主句之前,也可以位于主句之后。

不过从句在前时,主从句之间必须用逗号隔开。

四、语法知识:含条件状语从句复合句的时态问题(2)If 引导的条件状语从句往往表示未来的一种条件,在含义上往往翻译成【如果某事发生,则将会……】,这个时候,条件状语从句要用一般现在时,主句用一般将来时。

如例句:If you pass the final exam. I’ll give you a prize. 如果你通过的期末考试,我将会给你一个奖励。

我们可以这样理解:在例句中,条件状语从句的动作【通过考试】,和主句的动作【给你奖励】并不是同时发生的。

【通过考试】要发生在【给你奖励】之前,又根据整句意思判断,整件事情发生在将来。

那么为了表达出他们发生的先后顺序,【通过考试】这个动作所用的谓语形式,要在将来的基础上往前移一位,于是就成了现在。

也可以说,条件状语从句是用一般现在时,代替一般将来时。

(这只是一种理解的方式,如果大家暂时不能理解,那就记住这样一条规则就好了:条件状语从句,不能用一般将来时,而要用一般现在时代替一般将来时。

)那么,大家要注意:如果主句是一般将来时,条件状语从句一定要用一般现在时。

如果条件状语从句是一般现在时,则主句通常要用一般将来时。
