Due Attention Should Be Given to the Study of Chinese
ExercisesPlease write a five-paragraph outline for one of the following topics:1.On Piracy2.Due Attention Should Be Given to the Study of Chinese3.How to Improve Students’ Mental Health?4.Should China Abolish Death Penalty?5.Should the Chinese Government Ban All Genetically Modified Foods?Due Attention Should Be Given to the Study of ChineseAs we all know, in the past, our country attached much importance to the study of Chinese and Chinese culture by a series of tests which would allow you to get access to power and wealth on condition that you had a quite good command of Chinese . However, foreign countries turned to the development of science and technology earlier than China. Gradually, we fell far behind them in the field of science and technology. Then they, those foreign countries, attacked us now and then in order to get money and other resources they needed. Owing to stress, our country tried its best to reform and get away from the dilemma, more attention was transferred to the science and technology, which were seen as practical and useful. Chinese lost its throne slowly and slowly. But now, I want to say that due attention should be given to the study of Chinese.Firstly, Chinese is of great importance. It’s not only our mother tongue, but also the base of our Chinese culture, the base of our country. We Chinese have a long history and profound culture, which can’t live long without the inheritance and development of Chinese. During the anti-Japanese war, Japanese invaders tried to educate Chinese who were under their control miserably their language and let them forget their native language, Chinese. Why did they take such measure? Apparently, they knew that the best way of ruining a country thoroughly is letting them forget their language and then forget all. Thus,we would be slave to the evil invaders finally. Now, can we still hold the stupid idea that Chinese is of little value? Certainly, we can’t.Secondly, our country doesn’t pay enough attention to the study of Chinese in modern times. With the international environment becoming more and more competitive, our country put more revenues and energy to strengthen our science and technology in order to stand in the world steadily/firmly/stably. At the same time, the study of Chinese is neglected inevitably. You will find the transparently different treatment between Chinese and other aspects by searching the Internet.Thirdly, from the perspective of individuals, most of us don’t think it’s necessary to pour much energy to the study of Chinese. On the one hand, we Chinese hold the idea that we grasp/master Chinese very well for it’s our native language and we use it for communication everyday since we are capable of speaking. On the other hand, most of us regard it as something useless in some degree. And we focus on things which are more practical. Therefore,we turn to medical science, computer technology, electronic technique, English and so on,which will ensure us a better job and high-level salary. Just look at the universities, you will find that few students major in Chinese. However, in fact, we don’t know Chinese so well as we think and Chinese is of great value that most of us may not realize.Leaders of China know what the language means to a country and they encourage the study of Chinese. Just take the Dictation Assembly of Chinese Characters for example. In 2013, both the channel CCTV1 and channel CCTV 10 presented us the feast of Chinese which is followed by the similar program named Chinese Idiom Congress in 2014. But are these enough? No, not nearly. This great and meaningful business demands jointly efforts of both our country and we everyone. Our country should launch more activities to promote our enthusiasm and understanding about Chinese. It ought to convey the idea that Chinese is valuable and our country needs it,which will have an effect on our attitude to Chinese. As for us, we’d better read more to strengthen the study of Chinese, not only because it’s our native language ,but also the process itself is of great interest. Just have a try from now on!。

How to Write a FiveParagraph
How to Write a Five-Paragraph EssayFor Class assignments or testsBy Grace Fleming, GuideGrace Fleming, Homework / Study Tips GuideSign up for My NewsletterAs you've probably noticed, essay writing assignments can pop up in any class. An essay is a literary composition that expresses a certain idea, claim, or concept and backs it up with supporting statements. It will follow a logical pattern, to include an introductory paragraph (make the claim), a body (support), and a conclusion (summary of statements and support).English and Literature teachers use them on a regular basis, but essays are also a test tool used commonly in the social sciences, and even in math and science class.Of course, essays play a big role in the college application process, as well. In short, there's just no avoiding essays, as long as you're in school!Luckily, you can learn to craft a great essay if you can follow the standard pattern and write in a clear and organized manner.IntroductionThe introduction is the first paragraph in your essay, and it should accomplish a few specific goals.1. Capture the reader's interestIt's a good idea to start your essay with a really interesting statement, in order to pique the reader's interest.Avoid starting out with a boring line like"In this essay I will explain why Rosa Parks was an important figure."Instead, try something like"A Michigan museum recently paid $492,000 for an old, dilapidated bus from Montgomery, Alabama."The second sentence sounds much more interesting, doesn't it? It would encourage most people to keep on reading.2. Introduce the topicThe next few sentences should explain your first statement, and prepare the reader for your thesis statement."The old yellow bus was reported to be the very one that sparked the civil rights movement, when a young woman named Rosa Parks..."3. Make a claim or express your opinion in a thesis sentence.Your thesis sentence should provide your specific assertion and convey clearly your point of view."In refusing to surrender her seat to a white man, Rosa Parks inspired a courageous freedom movement that lives on, even today."BodyThe body of the essay will include three paragraphs, each limited to one main idea that supports your thesis. You should state your idea, then back it up with two or three sentences of evidence or examples.Example of a main idea:"It took incredible courage for an African American woman to make such a bold stance in 1955 Alabama."Offer evidence to support this statement:"This act took place in an era when African Americans could be arrested and face severe retribution for comitting the most trivial acts of defiance."Include a few more supporting statements with further evidence, then use transition words to lead to the following paragraph.Sample transition words:moreoverin facton the wholefurthermoreas a resultsimply putfor this reasonsimilarlylikewiseit follows thatnaturallyby comparisonsurelyyetThe fifth paragraph will be your conclusion.ConclusionThe final paragraph will summarize your main points and re-assert your main claim. It should point out your main points, but should not repeat specific examples.Once you complete the first draft of your essay, it's a good idea to re-visit the thesis statement in your first paragraph. Read your essay to see if it flows well. You might find that the supporting paragraphs are strong, but they don't address the exact focus of your thesis. Simply re-write your thesis sentence to fit your body and summary more exactly.By doing this, you will ensure that every sentence in your essay supports, proves, or reflects your thesis.Suggested Reading∙Essay Tests∙Writing a Thesis Sentence∙Types of EssaysConfusing Words and Grammar Rules∙Parallel Sentence Structure∙Using I and Me Correctly∙Confusing WordsRelated Articles∙Basic Five-Paragraph Essay Structure - Study Skills∙Creating a Thesis Statement - Study Skills∙five-paragraph essay - definition and examples of five-paragraph essays∙Lesson Plan for ESL TESOL EFL TEFL TESL English Young Learner's Classes...∙Short Takes - Grammar and Style。

wps英语五线格模板-回复[wps英语五线格模板]Introduction:The Five W's method, also known as the Five Line Grid or WPS Template, is a popular tool used to gather information and structure an article. It involves answering the questions of Who, What, When, Where, and Why. In this article, we will explore how to use the WPS Template effectively, step by step.Step 1: Who?The first question to answer is Who? This refers to the individuals or groups of people involved in the topic. For instance, if the topic is about climate change, we may mention scientists, policymakers, and activists who play a crucial role in addressing and mitigating the issue. Identifying the key players provides a foundation for further discussion.Step 2: What? The second question to answer is What? This entails describing the topic in detail. In the case of climate change, we would explain what it is, its causes, and its impact on the environment and human life.Discussing the various aspects of the topic helps readers gain a comprehensive understanding.Step 3: When? The third question to answer is When? It involves providing a timeline or chronology of events related to the topic. For climate change, we may mention significant milestones, such as the industrial revolution, the formation of international climate change agreements, and the emergence of extreme weather events. Understanding the historical context helps readers recognize the urgency and significance of the issue.Step 4: Where? The fourth question to answer is Where? This refers to the geographical locations or settings relevant to the topic. Continuing with the example of climate change, we would discuss global warming patterns in specific regions, the vulnerability of coastal areas to sea-level rise, and the impact of deforestation in tropical rainforests. Identifying the specific regions and settings helps readers grasp the localized impact of the issue.Step 5: Why?The final question to answer is Why? This delves into the factors and motivations behind the topic. In the case of climate change, we would explore reasons such as human activities, including the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation, as well as the economic and political factors that hinder global action. Understanding the underlying causes gives readers a deeper insight into the issue. Conclusion:The WPS Template, or Five Line Grid, provides a structured approach to writing articles by answering the questions of Who, What, When, Where, and Why. By following this method, writers can gather necessary information, engage readers, and present a comprehensive understanding of the topic. Whether it's about climate change, current events, or personal experiences, using the WPS Template can greatly enhance the clarity and coherence of any article.。
