A Fun Reading Class.I remember one particularly interesting reading class I had in high school. It was a class where we were given the opportunity to explore different genres of literature and discuss them in depth. The teacher, Mr. Johnson, was known for his enthusiasm and ability to bring stories to life. One of the most memorable activities we did in that class was a book club. We were divided into small groups and each group was assigned a different book to read. We had a few weeks to read the book and then we would come together to discuss it. It was a great opportunity to not only read a variety of books, but also to practice our speaking and listening skills.I was in a group that read "To Kill a Mockingbird" byHarper Lee. It was a classic novel that dealt with important themes such as racism and social injustice. Our discussions were lively and thought-provoking. We would share our favorite quotes from the book and discuss how they related to the overall message of the story. It was fascinating to hear different interpretations and perspectives from my classmates.Another activity that made the reading class enjoyable was the "Guess the Author" game. Mr. Johnson would give us a short excerpt from a book and we had to guess the author based on their writing style. It was challenging but also a lot of fun. It helped us develop our critical thinking skills and encouraged us to pay attention to the unique writing styles of different authors.
