英语作文当地震来临时我们应该做

英语作文当地震来临时我们应该做全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1What We Should Do When an Earthquake StrikesHi friends! Today I want to talk to you about something very important - what to do if an earthquake happens. Earthquakes can be really scary, but if we know the right things to do, we can stay safe.First, let me explain what an earthquake is. An earthquake is when the ground starts shaking. It feels like the earth is going crazy and jumping around! The shaking happens because of movements deep underground between these things called tectonic plates. When these huge rock plates grind and bump into each other, it makes the ground shake at the surface. Pretty wild, right?Earthquakes can happen anywhere, but they are more common in some places than others. My teacher told me that they happen a lot on the west coast of America like in California. The earthquakes there can be really strong and powerful! Other places that get lots of earthquakes are Japan, Mexico, and alongthe Pacific Ocean. Wherever you live, it's a good idea to be prepared just in case.So what should we do if we feel the ground start to shake and an earthquake is happening? The most important thing is to stay calm and not panic. I know that can be really hard when everything around you is jumping and rumbling, but panicking won't help. Here are some tips for what to do if you are inside during an earthquake:DROP down onto your hands and knees. Don't just stand there, get down on the floor!COVER your head and neck with one arm to protect yourself from anything that might fall on you.HOLD ON to a sturdy table or desk with your other hand so you stay covering your head. If there's no furniture to hold on to, cover your head with both arms.Stay in this position until the shaking stops. Your teacher or another adult will give you instructions on what to do next. If you're in bed when an earthquake hits, just stay there and cover your head with a pillow. Don't run outside during the shaking because things might be falling! What if you're outside when an earthquake strikes? Get into an open area away from trees, buildings, power lines or anything tall and heavy that could fall on you. Once you're away from hazards, DROP, COVER and HOLD ON just like inside. Cover your head and neck to protect yourself. If you're in a car when the shaking starts, the earthquake safety rules are a little different. Pull over and stop as soon as it's safe. Stay inside the car with your seatbelt on. Cars can bounce around a lot during an earthquake, so it's safer inside than outside. Once the shaking stops, be careful and look out for damaged roads, bridges, powerlines or debris before driving on.After the earthquake is over, there are some other important things to do to stay safe. If you're inside a building, get outside carefully and go to an open area away from the building. More shaking or aftershocks might still happen, so you don't want to be indoors if possible. If your home is damaged or unsafe, ask your parents if you can go to a shelter, friend's house or somewhere safe.Listen to your parents, teachers and other adults for instructions on what to do next. Don't wander off by yourself. Check yourself and others for any injuries and get first aid if needed. Don't go near any damaged buildings, utility lines orareas until emergency crews say it's safe. Use text messages instead of phone calls to keep the phone lines clear. One last thing that's important to do before an earthquake - make an emergency plan with your family! Talk about where you will meet up if an earthquake happens when you're apart. Choose a spot outside your home and another spot outside your neighborhood in case you can't go home. My family's meeting spot is the big oak tree at the park down the street. We should also pack an emergency kit with supplies like non-perishable food, bottled water, a first aid kit, flashlight, batteries, blankets and anything else we might need for a few days. Having a plan and supplies ready to go will make things much less scary if disaster strikes.I know that's a lot of information, but being prepared for earthquakes is so important! They can happen anytime with little or no warning. By learning the right safety steps and having a plan, we can get through it. I feel a lot better knowing what to do to stay safe.I hope you'll share what you learned today with your family and friends. Let's all work together to be ready if an earthquake shakes things up! Knowing how to protect ourselves can save lives. Stay safe out there and drop, cover and hold on!篇2What We Should Do When an Earthquake StrikesHi everyone! Today I want to talk about something super important - what to do if there is an earthquake. Earthquakes can be really scary, but if we know the right things to do, we can stay safe.First, let me explain what an earthquake is. An earthquake happens when there is shaking of the ground caused by movement of the Earth's tectonic plates. These are huge slabs of rock that make up the outer layer of our planet. Sometimes these plates grind and slip past each other, and that's what causes the shaking we feel during an earthquake.Earthquakes can happen anywhere, but some places like California, Japan, and Indonesia get them more often because they sit on top of the boundaries between tectonic plates. No matter where you live though, it's always good to be prepared just in case.So what should you do if an earthquake strikes when you're inside a building? The most important thing is to DROP, COVER and HOLD ON!When you feel the shaking start, the first thing to do is DROP down onto your hands and knees. Don't wait, just drop! This will prevent you from being knocked over.Next, you need to COVER your head and neck with one arm and hand. If there is a sturdy table or desk nearby, crawl under it for shelter. If not, crawl against an interior wall away from windows. Then HOLD ON to your shelter with one hand until the shaking stops. If you're under a table, hold on with both hands and make sure to protect your head and neck.Stay away from outer walls, windows, hanging objects, mirrors, tall furniture, and overhead fixtures. All of those things could fall and really hurt you during the shaking. If you're in bed when the shaking starts, stay there and COVER your head with a pillow. Don't try to run outside, you could get hit by falling objects. If you're outside when it happens, stay outside! Move away from trees, buildings, power lines, and anything else that could fall on you. Drop to the ground and cover your head and neck to protect yourself from falling debris.I know it sounds scary, but don't be afraid. Earthquakes usually only last for less than a minute. As soon as the shaking stops, it's important to EVACUATE the building you're in. Use stairs, not elevators. Once outside, move away from walls and power lines in case there are aftershocks. If you happen to get trapped under fallen debris, try to protect your mouth and nose from dust. Bang on something to signal rescuers where you are. Shout only as a last resort since dust and debris could make it hard to breathe.Once you're outside and in the open, listen for instructions from emergency officials. They will let you know if it's safe to go back inside or if you need to evacuate the area completely. Don't re-enter any damaged buildings - they could collapse or have hazards like gas leaks or broken glass. At home, your family should have an emergency kit prepared with supplies like food, water, a radio, flashlights, batteries, medical supplies, blankets, and tools. You'll be really glad to have it after a big earthquake! Your kit should also include copies of important documents like IDs and insurance information. It's also smart to pick a meeting place for your family to reunite after an earthquake in case you get separated. Maybeyour neighbor's house or a nearby park. Planning ahead is key to staying safe!I know all of this sounds like a lot, but if we're prepared it won't be as scary. Earthquakes are one of those things in life we can't control or predict. But we can control how ready we are to handle them.At school, we practice earthquake drills so we know just what to do. We get under our desks and hold on, just like at home. Our teachers make sure we stay calm and safe until the shaking stops. Then we evacuate the building quickly and calmly. It's also good for us kids to have our own emergency kits with things like snacks, water bottles, a space blanket, and glow sticks. That way we're prepared if we're at school when it happens.I really hope we never have to go through a big earthquake, but stuff like that happens sometimes. The most important thing is being prepared and knowing what to do. Don't panic, protect your head and body, and listen to emergency instructions. If we follow the safety tips, we'll be okay! And don't forget, after a big earthquake there will probably be no power, internet,or TV for a while. So it's a great excuse to go outside, play games, read books, and spend quality time with your family.Every earthquake drill and safety plan is about keeping us kids safe. That's what matters most! I feel a lot better knowing just what to do. I hope you do too after reading this. Getting prepared is easy, and it could save your life someday. So let's all get ready, and stay safe out there!篇3What We Should Do When an Earthquake StrikesHi there! My name is Sammy and I'm going to tell you all about what we need to do if an earthquake happens. Earthquakes can be really scary, but if we know what to do, we can stay safe!First of all, what even is an earthquake? An earthquake is when the ground starts shaking. It feels like the whole world is moving around you. The shaking is caused by movements in the Earth's crust, which is the outer layer of the planet we live on. Sometimes the rocks and soil underneath get pushed and that makes everything on top vibrate and tremble. Crazy, right?Earthquakes can happen anywhere, but some places get them more often than others. That's because of the tectonic plates. Huh? Tectonic plates are huge slabs of rock that make up the Earth's crust and upper mantle (the really hot rocky part under the crust). These plates are slowly moving around, and when they rub against each other, it causes the ground to shake. The areas where plates meet are called fault lines, and that's where most earthquakes happen. So what do we do if an earthquake strikes when we're at school or home? The most important thing is to DROP, COVER, and HOLD ON! Let me explain each part:DROP - Get down on your hands and knees right away. This will help keep you from falling over when the shaking starts.COVER - Crawl under something sturdy like a heavy desk or table. If that's not possible, cover your head and neck with your arms to protect yourself from falling objects.HOLD ON - Once you're under cover, hang on tight to your shelter with one hand, and protect your head and neck with your other arm and hand. This will keep you safe until the shaking stops.During the shaking, try to stay calm and don't run outside because things might be falling down! If you're already outside when it starts, stay away from buildings, power lines, trees, and anything else that could collapse on you. Just DROP and COVER wherever you are until the shaking stops. After an earthquake, listen to your teachers or parents for instructions. There might be aftershocks (smaller earthquakes that happen after the big one) so you'll need to DROP, COVER, and HOLD ON again if you feel more shaking. Only leave your shelter when you're told it's safe.If you get trapped under something heavy, don't panic! Tap on a pipe or wall so rescuers can find you. If possible, use a whistle to signal for help. Shouting and calling out works too, but try not to move around much so you don't make things worse. It's really important to have an emergency kit ready at home and at school with food, water, flashlights, batteries, a radio, and basic medical supplies. That way if an earthquake knocks out power or water, you'll have what you need. My family has a kit we keep in the garage just in case.I know earthquakes seem really scary, but if we're prepared and know what to do, we can get through it safely. Just remember those three magic words: DROP, COVER, and HOLDON! Practice the drill at school and at home so your body knows exactly what to do when the shaking starts.Earthquakes are one of nature's wildest events, but they don't have to be super dangerous as long as we stay safe and look out for each other. Who's ready to be an earthquake safety pro? I know I am!篇4What We Should Do When an Earthquake HappensHi friends! Today I want to talk about something very important - what to do if an earthquake strikes. Earthquakes can be really scary, but if we know the right things to do, we can stay safe.First, let me explain what an earthquake is. An earthquake happens when there is shaking of the ground caused by movements deep inside the Earth. It feels like the ground is trembling or rolling beneath your feet. Buildings can sway back and forth, and objects might fall off shelves. The shaking can last just a few seconds or go on for a minute or more.Earthquakes happen because of shifts in the rocky layers under the Earth's surface called tectonic plates. These giantplates are slowly moving and when they get stuck and suddenly break loose, it causes vibrations that travel through the ground as earthquake waves. The place deep underneath where the earthquake starts is called the focus or hypocenter, while the area on top of that is the epicenter. Some earthquakes are so small that people don't even notice them happening. But big earthquakes can cause a lot of damage to buildings, roads, bridges and other structures. If the earthquake is really strong, it can make buildings collapse, start fires, and make the ground crack open. After some giant quakes, tsunamis can happen where huge walls of water from the ocean rush over coastal areas. So what should YOU do if an earthquake strikes while you're at school or at home? Here are the most important things to remember:If you're indoors, stay inside! Do not run outside because you could get hit by falling debris or glass. Instead, drop down onto your hands and knees to protect your body. Take cover under a sturdy desk or table and hold on tight so it doesn't move away from you. Cover your head and neck with your arms to protect yourself from anything falling on you.If there's no furniture to get under, crouch down against an inside wall and cover your head and neck. Stay away from windows, outside doors, light fixtures or anything that could fall on you. Don't use elevators because the power could go out and you could get stuck! If you're outside when the shaking starts, stay outside and move to an open area away from buildings, trees, power lines or anything else that could fall on you. Watch for fallen power lines, debris in the road, or broken water/gas lines.Once the shaking stops, you'll need to be prepared for aftershocks which are smaller quakes that can happen over hours or even days after the main earthquake. If you're inside, take your emergency kit and carefully go outside being watchful of any debris or damage. Look for a safe sheltered area away from damaged buildings, power lines or trees. At school, follow your teacher's instructions and line up at the designated evacuation area. If you're at home when it happens, have a meeting spot planned in case your family gets separated. Listen to radio or TV for updated emergency information and follow any instructions from authorities. It's smart to have emergency supplies ready at home and school with items like bottled water, non-perishable food, a firstaid kit, flashlight, radio, extra batteries, blankets, and any needed medications. Store them in a sturdy container that can easily be carried with you.Earthquakes can be really scary when they happen, but try to stay calm and don't panic. Follow the safety drill procedures you've practiced and take action right away to protect yourself from falling objects. Drop, cover and hold on tight until the shaking stops. If you're properly prepared and know what to do, you'll make it through an earthquake just fine. Just be ready to respond quickly, follow instructions, and take shelter until emergency crews say the area is safe again. I hope this helps you feel more prepared in case an earthquake ever happens where you live! Stay safe, friends!篇5What to Do When the Earth Starts ShakingEarthquakes can be really scary! The ground starts moving and shaking like crazy. Buildings might even fall down! But if we know what to do, we can stay safe when an earthquake happens. The most important thing is to not panic and remain calm. Panicking will only make a bad situation worse. Instead, we need to think clearly and follow the safety rules we've learned. If you're inside a building when the shaking starts, the first thing to do is get under a sturdy table or desk and hold on tight. This protects your head and body from falling objects. Never run outside during the shaking as things may be falling off buildings. The doorway used to be considered a safe place, but this is no longer recommended.Once under the table, cover your head and neck with one arm while holding on to the table leg with your other hand. If there isn't a table nearby, crouch down next to an inside wall and cover your head and neck with your hands and arms. Stay away from windows, outside doors, hanging objects, mirrors, tall furniture, and shelves filled with stuff that could fall.If you're in bed when it hits, just stay there and cover your head with a pillow. Don't try to run somewhere else. The bed can help protect you from falling objects. What if you're outside when the earthquake strikes? Get away from buildings, power lines, trees, or anything else that could fall on you. Once in the open, crouch down low and protect your head and neck.If you're in a car, pull over and stop as soon as it's safe. Avoid stopping under overpasses, trees, or power lines that could collapse. Stay inside the car with your seatbelt fastened until the shaking stops. No matter where you are, listen for information and instructions from parents, teachers, police, fire fighters or other authorities. They will give guidance on what to do next based on the situation. After the shaking has completely stopped, carefully go outside if it's safe. Once outside, move away from the building you were in, just in case there are aftershocks which could cause more damage. Stay away from downed power lines, fallen objects, and areas where there is damage or debris.Aftershocks are smaller earthquakes that can happen hours, days or even weeks after the main quake. So be prepared, they could strike at any time! During aftershocks, drop, cover and hold on just like during the main earthquake. Each time you feel shaking, drop to the ground, take cover under a sturdy table or furniture and hold on until the shaking stops. If you get trapped or cannot get out of a building, try to stay calm and make noise so rescuers can find you. Use a phone, whistle or anything to make sounds and get attention. Text orcall for help if possible but don't light any fires - there may be gas leaks. Cover your mouth with a cloth to avoid breathing in dust. It's also very important to have an emergency kit prepared ahead of time with supplies like food, water, first aid, flashlights and other essential items. This kit will help you out if you get stuck somewhere after the earthquake.I know all of this sounds really scary, but if we know what to do and stay calm, we can get through an earthquake safely. The key things to remember are:Drop, cover and hold on to protect yourselfStay away from anything that could fallListen to instructions from emergency workersBe prepared for aftershocksMake noise if trapped so rescuers can find youEarthquakes are over quickly, usually lasting just a minute or less. But they can be really intense and damaging while they last. If we follow proper safety procedures, most people can survive them without getting hurt. Just drop, cover, hold on and staycalm! With some practice and preparation, I know we'll all be ready if one ever strikes our area.篇6What To Do When The Ground Starts ShakingEarthquakes can be really scary, especially for kids like me. One minute everything is normal, and the next minute, the ground is shaking like crazy! Buildings might collapse, things start falling off shelves, and it feels like the whole world is moving under your feet. But don't worry, if we know what to do when an earthquake hits, we can stay safe. The most important thing is to not panic and to follow the safety drill we practice at school. As soon as you feel the ground shaking, you need to instantly Drop, Cover, and Hold On! That means you DROP down onto your hands and knees. Then you COVER your head and neck with one arm to protect it from anything that could fall on you. And then you HOLD ON to your shelter with your other hand until the shaking stops. It's really important to get under something sturdy like a heavy desk or table when you cover. A sturdy piece of furniture can protect you from getting hit by falling objects. If you can't get under something sturdy, crouch down near an inside walland cover your head and neck with your hands and arms. Stay away from windows, outside doors, outside walls, and anything that could fall and hurt you.If you happen to be outside when the earthquake starts, the safest thing is to stay outside. Move away from buildings, power lines, trees, and anything else that could fall on you. Once you get to an open area, drop to the ground and cover your head and neck with your arms.If you're in a car when the shaking starts, you need to pull over slowly and safely. Stay inside the car with your seatbelt on until the shaking stops. Watch out for other drivers, power lines, debris in the road, and be ready to drive on slowly and carefully after the earthquake. After the ground stops shaking, it's important to listen to the adults and emergency workers around you. They will give you instructions on what to do next. You might need to evacuate the building you're in if it's damaged. Be ready to not have power, water, or telephone service after a big earthquake too. It's a really good idea for your family to have an emergency kit ready with supplies like food, water, flashlights, batteries, first aid kit, and other important things. You should also have a plan for how your family will meet up and where you'll go if you getseparated during the earthquake. Having a plan ahead of time will help keep everyone calm.Earthquakes can be really scary, but if we all follow the safety rules and know what to do, we can get through it safely. The ground shaking and everything moving around can feel really unsettling. But remember, most of the time the earthquake will stop within a minute or two. Stay calm, protect your head and body, and listen to the adults around you.If we all work together and help each other, we'll get through the earthquake just fine. And then we can all breathe a big sigh of relief when it's over! It might take some time for things to get back to normal, but at least we'll all be safe. So don't be too afraid if you feel the ground start to shake - just instantly drop, cover, and hold on until it stops!。

关于地震的英语作文关于地震献爱心的英语作文Everyone has some unforgettable experiences.Last Monday, there was a serious earthquake in Sichuan Province. Many people were killed. A large number of houses collapsed. I was shocked. When I see theses pictures on TV, my eyes were filled with tears. I wanted to do something for people in the disaster areas. Two days later, in front of the library of our school, almost all of the teachers and students came to donate money. I was moved. I thought although I couldn’t go to Sichuan lik e the soldiers and the doctors, I still wanted to try my best to help them. I took out all my pocket money and threw it into the donation box.I hope they can rebuild their homeland early. It will be an unforgettable experience in my life. It makes me experience that if everyone makes a contribution for our country, we can overcome any difficulties.-------------------------------------------地震引发的思考:众人拾柴火焰高1 如何理解众人拾柴火焰高2 举例说明All Contributing to it, the flame is high“All Contributing to it, the flame i s high” is an old proverb which almost everyone knows, but not all understand it so well. Actually, it means that there is strength in numbers. Put it simply, individual’s power and ability is too weak to perform a huge task. However, just as a number of s treams converge into a vast ocean, so a team’s strength may be great enough to remove a mountain. The saying also carries the message that cooperation and coordination are necessary, particularly in the modern society. To be sure, everybody has his own disadvantage and limited wisdom. Combining efforts can overcome this and make it possible to realize one’s own greatest potential. It is therefore that efficiency and capacity are enhanced in this manner. Thus, something can be achieved which seems otherwise impossible. The most notable example is Boeing plane production. A plane is composed of 10,000 parts. But almost every part is produced by different country, then assembled by American. This is impossible without coordination.Indeed, where there is a unity, where there is victory. (Chinese Red Cross Foundation)Dear all students,In order to support earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan, Student Union intends to organize a Donation Program and expects donation from all of you.You can donate money or materials. 1.抗洪救灾英语作文The torrential rain raged and the rivers soared. Waves of flood peaks fiercely attacked the Yangtze River embankment. Just entering the early summer, a catastrophic flood rarely seen in a century came unexpectedly. Millions of soldiers and civilians were mobilized urgently, and the arsenic column flowed in the middle. They fought continuously day and night for 100 days and nights, sacrificing their lives“ Take strict precautions! People are on the bank! “ This is the sonorous oath of the army and the pe ople.Take strict precautions! People are on the bank! What a powerful eight words. In front of my eyes, a word emerged: stick to it.Nowadays, "stick to" is not often mentioned. What people pursue is "natural and unrestrained" and "cool". Persistence was once weak and difficult due to the lack of its content, so that1/ 8sometimes it sounded as far away as the carriage age.Across the century, we, who shoulder the heavy responsibility of the times, often seem unable to bear the "connecting the past and the future" that we are often proud of. At the juncture of two centuries, the situation and choices we face are unprecedented, but because of this, we often show more impetuous and frivolous emotions. The same unprecedented state is that many things have become somewhat vague and specious in front of us. We have never encountered the parents' going to the mountains and the countryside, nor can we be as happy as the children born in the 1990s to have Barbie dolls. Living under this "gap", there are many gaps that need to be filled one by one. We intuitively find that there is not enough time. Therefore, the angle we accept for persistence gradually shrinks, even almost empty, and we have almost forgotten its meaning. Unconsciously, "persistence" is shelved by us. This artificial neglect and "giving up" makes us gradually lazy; Moreover, we can easily list a lot of reasons to justify ourselves.Because of these, I once pessimistically thought that the number of people who could stick to it was as few as giant pandas, which was beyond my reach.2/ 8However, the fact is that the people who stick to it are notfar away. They are right beside us. From the hope project to flood fighting and rescue, from the gardeners who stick to the poor and work hard to the children who are not afraid of difficulties and dangers and sacrifice, I undoubtedly saw the existence of perseverance and felt the impact of the strength of perseverance. So, stick to what? For our parents, this question seems superfluous. However, in front of us - looking around at us who are struggling before too many choices - it is indeed a serious life proposition that requires you to calm down and think about it.Of course, stick to faith and ideals. I don't doubt the potential ambition in our hearts, but sticking to it means strong perseverance and hard work. We must and should have stable psychological quality, so that we won't panic when difficulties and blows come.Stick to it, a word with boiling blood when you think of it; Persistence is the spirit we are looking for; Behind the persistence,I see our great nation standing tall.2.抗洪救灾英语作文There was only one thought in their hearts, silence. The onlycore of disaster relief was to save people. They simply ran3/ 8barefoot (flood fighting and disaster relief 1). It was the summerof 1998, a summer unforgettable to all Chinese children. China's Yangtze River Basin has suffered a catastrophic flood disaster that has not been encountered for many years. We will always remember that in the summer of 1998, there were constant dangers along the river, especially in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. Everyone is eagerly looking forward to the rescue of one more compatriot, "Chengdu taxi drivers spontaneously rushed to the disaster area to participate in the rescue". Officers and soldiers carrying heavy sandbags shuttle back and forth in the muddy water, "doctors in private clinics take out all drugs to save people", because everything is worthless in front of human life. The jagged rubble cut his toe. It comes from the earthquake site. Bless you. It is only in the face of such a devastating disaster that the children's soldiers fought bravely. Pray! Dajiang is eager to break down and save all the lives in danger as soon as possible. May 12, 2008 was written into history. Together with millions of people, all people with conscience cried. It is based on the incomparable respect for life: "with the active assistance of volunteers, the people's property and even their lives have beenseriously threatened.4/ 8More moved. At this critical juncture! No one would haveexpected that it once again expressed people's patriotism. No matter how profound the "reflection", it kept the mention, "foreign private car owners rushed to the disaster area to participate in the transfer and rescue of the wounded". Hundreds of thousands of PLA officers and soldiers traveled day and night, and the human wall looked so spectacular! " They jumped into the water one by one and fought against the evil waves. They ignored it and fought the flood. At this moment, life is above everything, peace, the premier cried, and the living are willing to cheer. They built a human wall with their own flesh and blood. At this moment, it seems so extravagant. Let's see and hope for the growth in the sense of "rejuvenating the country through national difficulties", and start a magnificent river defense war "Mianyang citizens bring food and clothing to comfort the victims of resettlement sites"... In the process of earthquake relief“ Kindergarten teachers gave up their lives to block the broken cement board for their children. Only by looking at the numbers on the time plate approaching the golden 72 hours of post earthquake rescue can we appreciate the valueof life so deeply. May the dead rest in peace. At this stage, it is so5/ 8magnificent. In order to walk fast, some people want all their livesto be respected at any time. The people cry. Their "natural transparency and efficiency" is an important supplement to the government's disaster relief forces. Everyone's heart is pulled to his throat. In the surging river water, "an entrepreneur in Tangshan chartered a car to organize employees and medical personnel to go south overnight".May the passing of life awaken all those in power and all citizens to respect life and rise up - we repeat these words. The only thing we pray for is human life. Treating life well is treating everything well. The self-help and mutual rescue of disaster victims, and the rudiment of the strength of non-governmental organizations have been further developed.3.抗洪救灾英语作文Last night,. A heavy rain suddenly hit, which not only caused the water level of the river in front of my house to rise sharply, but also made our classroom "flooded with gold". As soon as I came to school this morning, I was surprised to find that the "home" on the third floor was full of "flood" on the outside corridor and the whole classroom was in a mess due to the rainleakage on the top floor. The lime on the roof and wall is like6/ 8"goose feather snow", falling on the ground, on the table and inthe students' desks. The water drops on the roof beam fell like broken beads, and the rain hit the ground, forming a stream in the classroom; The rain hit the table, seeped in through the fine cracks on the table and flowed onto the book. Look at my poor table. It's a pockmarked face full of lime.Looking at this "tragic" scene, the students did not complain about others, did not care about themselves, but scrambled to join the battle of "flood fighting and disaster relief". Sun Yue, the class member, picked up the mop and dragged the water in the classroom. Huang Ziyun, the monitor, directed everyone and swept the water out of the classroom with a broom. Jiang Zhenghai is a setter. He waved his broom and continued to sweep the water swept by Huang Ziyun. With everyone's joint efforts, there was less and less water in the classroom. I was moved by this scene and couldn't help joining the team of "flood fighting and disaster relief". Who told students to share difficulties and blessings. As the floods were discharged into the corridor, the gutter could not be "stored", and the sewer pipe was blocked bysomething. The corridor was full of foul smelling black water.7/ 8Everyone frowned. When we were at a loss, Liu Ye stood up and said, "let me come." While talking, Liu Ye rolled up his sleeves, put his hand into the black and smelly sewage and pulled out the blocked drainage pipe. He took it out for a long time. Although he took out rubber, toys and plastic bags... The drainage pipe was still lit by his nephew - as usual. Seeing this, I really want to say to you: "don't litter, protect our surrounding environment."Everyone was busy but not tired. The corridor was finally cleaned up by us, bright as a mirror, and the table was spotless. At this time, we all became colorful faces. Everyone, look at me, I look at you, and they all laughed. The water drops on the roof beam are still falling, but at this time, they flow into the hearts of the students like a string of beautiful notes.8/ 8。

地震预防措施英语作文篇一May 12th, 2008. That’s the most mournful day for our Chinese that will never be forgotten, because a horrible earthquake happened in Wenchuan, which caused tens of thousands of children’s death. On hearing the news, I felt so sorrowful. “Why was the god so cruel to them?” I asked. They were still at the entrance of the life. They seemed like little eagles that were willing to open their wings and hover in the sky. Maybe they would have their brilliant future. What a great loss to our nation! I had my deepest sympathy on the people in the disastrous area. So I donated some money and clothes to them. And I also prayed for the dead people sincerely. I eagerly hope that there would be no earthquakes in the future, so that we could live a more peaceful life.关于地震初二英语作文篇二An earthquake is a shaking of the ground caused by the sudden breaking and shifting of large sections of Earth#39;s rocky outer shell. Earthquakes are among the most powerful events on earth, and their results can be terrifying. A severe earthquake may release energy 10,000 times as great as that of the first atomic bomb. Rock movements during an earthquake can make rivers change their course. Earthquakes can trigger landslides that cause great damage and loss of life. Large earthquakes beneath the ocean can create a series of huge, destructive waves called tsunamis (pronounced tsoo NAH meez) that flood coasts for many miles.Earthquakes almost never kill people directly. Instead, many deaths and injuries in earthquakes result from falling objects and the collapse of buildings, bridges, and other structures. Fire resulting from broken gas or power lines is another major danger during a quake. Spills of hazardous chemicals are also a concern during an earthquake. The force of an earthquake depends on how much rock breaks and how far it shifts. Powerful earthquakes can shake firm ground violently for great distances. During minor earthquakes, the vibration may be no greater than the vibration caused by a passing truck. On average, a powerful earthquake occurs less than once every two years. At least 40 moderate earthquakes cause damage somewhere in the world each year. About 40,000 to 50,000 small earthquakes--large enough to be felt but not damaging--occur annually.地震的英语作文篇三May 12th is an ordinary day in 2008it is in this day that shocking earthquake happened in Sichuan provinceChina. The earthquake destroyed nearly everything in Wenchuan country Sichuan province. 我们应该如何为地震做准备的英语作文

我们应该如何为地震做准备的英语作文

我们应该如何为地震做准备的英语作文How to Prepare for EarthquakesEarthquakes are natural disasters that can strike suddenly and cause widespread devastation. Being prepared for an earthquake can mean the difference between life and death. It is crucial to have a plan and be ready to act quickly in the event of an earthquake. Here are some tips on how to prepare for earthquakes:1. Make a Plan:It is important to have a family emergency plan in place so that everyone knows what to do in the event of an earthquake. This plan should include a meeting place outside of the home where everyone can gather, as well as a list of emergency contacts. Make sure everyone in the family knows how to shut off the gas, water, and electricity in the home.2. Create a Disaster Kit:Put together a disaster kit that includes essential items such as water, non-perishable food, flashlights, batteries, a first aid kit, and any necessary medications. Keep this kit in a secure location that is easily accessible in the event of an earthquake.3. Secure Furniture and Heavy Objects:One of the biggest dangers during an earthquake is falling objects. Make sure to secure heavy furniture, bookshelves, and other objects that could fall and cause injury. Use earthquake straps or putty to secure items to walls or floors.4. Know Your Home's Weak Points:Every home has weak points that are more vulnerable to earthquake damage. Know where these weak points are in your home and take measures to reinforce them. This could include securing your foundation or anchoring your chimney.5. Stay Informed:Keep abreast of any earthquake warnings or alerts in your area. Follow news updates and listen to emergency broadcasts for information on how to stay safe during an earthquake. It is also a good idea to sign up for text alerts from your local emergency management agency.6. Practice Earthquake Drills:Just like fire drills, it is important to practice what to do in the event of an earthquake. Conduct earthquake drills with your family members so that everyone knows how to react and can act quickly and efficiently in an emergency.7. Have a Communication Plan:In the event of an earthquake, it is essential to have a communication plan in place. Make sure everyone in your family knows how to contact each other in case of separation. Designate an out-of-town contact person who can help coordinate communication if local lines are down.8. Be Prepared to Evacuate:In some cases, it may be necessary to evacuate your home in the aftermath of an earthquake. Be prepared to leave at a moment's notice and have a go-bag ready with essential items such as identification, money, and important documents.9. Stay Calm:During an earthquake, it is important to remain calm and stay focused. Panic can lead to poor decision-making and increase the risk of injury. Stay low to the ground, take cover under a sturdy piece of furniture, and hold on until the shaking stops.By following these tips and being proactive in your earthquake preparedness, you can increase your chances of staying safe in the event of a disaster. Remember, being prepared is the best defense against earthquakes.。

防震减灾的英语

防震减灾的英语

防震减灾的英语Prevention and Mitigation of EarthquakesEarthquakes are natural disasters that occur from the force of tectonic plates rubbing against each other beneath the Earth's surface. While it is impossible to predict when an earthquake will occur, there are ways to reduce the damage and destruction caused by an earthquake if you anticipate the event and take precautions.1. Strengthen Building StructuresA good way to reduce the damage of an earthquake is to strengthen the structures of buildings before the earthquake occurs. This includes reinforcing foundations, walls and roofs, making sure all construction follows building codes, bolting down furniture, and fastening shelves securely to walls. Retrofitting older buildings can also offer seismic protection and reduce the risk of collapse.2. Create Emergency Preparedness PlansGovernments need to create emergency preparedness plans to reduce the death toll from earthquakes. This includes evacuation plans, the mapping of earthquake-prone areas, and the timely provision of medical and emergency services.3. Improve Communication NetworksCommunication networks need to be improved so that emergency services can quickly reach those affected by the earthquake. Love is emotional strength, which can support us no matter how dark the world around us becomes. As a matter of fact, throughout history people of many different cultures have regarded love as the most sublime of human emotions. As an illustration of the power of love, weshould remember how the Chinese people of all nationalities respond to thecall to help the victims of the deadly earthquake in Sichuan Province on May 12, 2021. Although their incomes are still low by international standards, people all over the country do not hesitate to donate whatever they can——beit money or goods——to help their needy fellow citizens. Furthermore, they do this with no thought of gain for themselves. It is my view that the best way to show love is to help people who are more unfortunate than we are. We should always be ready to give a helping hand to those who are in trouble, no matter whether they are family members or complete strangers. Only by doing so can we help to make the world a better place because the darker the shadows of sorrow become, the more brightly the lamp of love shines. 英语四级作文:地震相关英语作文范文2021年06月15日星期日 18:16Everyone has some unforgettable experiences. 关于抗洪救灾的英语作文1.关于抗洪救灾的英语作文Early in the morning, I was awakened by a loud noise. I got up reluctantly and found that the house was already full of water. I couldn’t help but be startled. At the moment, I was completely sleepless and hurriedly put on my slippers to help. Grandma asked me to shout Dad up. I ran to my father and shouted, “flood fighting and disaster relief! daddy! Come on! “ But they didn’t respond at all. They thought I was teasing him. Or grandma was so powerful that she came over and said, “get up quickly. Do you think Xiaoyan is teasing you? Come on! “I stood at the door of my house and looked at it. It was already watery outside. I walked in the water with an umbrella and thought I should go to my father to help. When I was walking towards my father, I accidentally threw out my slippers. I jumped forward and wanted to get my shoes, but every time I jumped, the water splashed on me. Finally, I had to walk barefoot to get my slippers. Alas, I was so embarrassed when I didn’t help. When the door of the living room was stuffed with sand, I began to be really busy because I had to pour water out. Ihave a spoon in one hand and a basin in the other. I don’t know.I thought I was a chef! After a while, all the water was cleared out, and I was very tired. In the afternoon, the water gradually disappeared, and the weather became sunny. We were finally relieved. Looking at the streets that have been washed away by the flood and become a mess, I really hope that the flood will not happen again in the future!2.关于抗洪救灾的英语作文It was the summer of 1998, a summer that the Chinese people will never forget. The Yangtze River Basin in China has suffered from the great flood disaster which has not been encountered for many years. The dangerous situation along the river, especially in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, is constantly increasing, and the property and life of the people are seriously threatened. At this critical juncture, hundreds of thousands of PLA officers and soldiers have been working day and night, fighting floods and fighting against evil waves with millions of people, which has started the great river defense war of Qizhuang river. Officers and soldiers carry heavy sandbags and travel back and forth in mud. Some of them run barefoot for fast walking. The jagged rubble cut the toes, they ignored it completely, and they hadonly one idea in their mind: “big lift, keep big lift!” They jumped into the water, built a wall of human with their flesh and blood. In the surging river, the wall seemed so spectacular and magnificent! Dajiang, always remember the summer of 1998, once again expressed people’s patriotism( No one would have expected that May 12, 2008 was written into history. Looking at the number on the time plate a little bit close to the gold rescue after the earthquake 72 hours, everyone’s heart was caught in the throat. We are eager to see a new compatriot be saved, and we are eager to break down and save all the lives in crisis. Pray, bless, mourn, help, peace, rise - we repeat these words, the prime minister cried, the people cried, and all those with conscience cried. At this moment, life is higher than everything, and what we pray for is human life. Only in the face of such devastating disasters can we deeply appreciate the precious life. At this stage, the core of disaster relief is to save people, and no matter how deep “reflection”, it is so luxurious at this time. It is based on the incomparable respect for life, let us see and hope for the growth in the sense of “national difficulties and prosperity”.More moved, from the earthquake scene, the victims ofself-help and mutual help, volunteer initiative assistance, children and soldiers bravely struggle“The kindergarten teachers are willing to be the cement board that the children have been blocked from falling, the private clinic doctors take out all the drugs to save people, Chengdu taxi drivers spontaneously rush to the disaster area to participate in rescue, private owners from other places rush to the disaster area to participate in the transfer and rescue of the injured, and an entrepreneur in Tangshan organizes employees and medical personnel to go down the South all night “Mianyang citizens bring food and clothing to the victims of the resettlement site”... In the process of earthquake relief, the rudimentary of the force of civil organizations has been further developed, and its “natural transparency and efficiency”is an important supplement to the government’s disaster relief force.May the death of life awaken the respect of all the people in power and all the people to life. Being good to life is to treat everything well, for all things are worthless in front of human life. May the dead rest, the living cheer, and all life will be respected the same at any time.3.关于抗洪救灾的英语作文I opened my beloved photoalbum and introduced me to the long river of memory. At this time, my eyes stay on a moving color photo. In early May this year, our county suffered the worst flood disaster in a century. The surging Xiangjiang river ran through the streets of the county and ruthlessly swallowed up a large number of houses and farmland. The flood is roaring and people are calling... At this critical juncture, the people’s government led the masses in an indomitable struggle against the flood. Look, on the left side of this photo, on the rescue and relief ship, several cadres stood in the bow of the ship and asked everyone to sit down.An uncle of the people’s Liberation Army was carrying an old woman across the water to get on board. Tears of excitement flashed on her weather beaten face; A police aunt, carrying a medicine box, is bandaging a child’s wound... On the right of this picture, a large truck is parked beside the road, loaded with bags of daily necessities for disaster relief, such as rice, vegetables, clothes, etc. Beside the truck, an old man leaned on a crutch and took the clothes he had received, as if to say, “good Communist Party! Socialism is good! “This is really “no lover in the flood”! The Chinese people responded to the call of the party and the government to “oneside is in trouble and all sides support”, and all kinds of disaster relief materials are continuously transported to us.This news color photo not only records the once-in-a-century flood disaster in Hengshan, but also leaves the true feelings of the world. Comments this paper expands the descr iption of the degree of flood damage, “the surging Xiangjiang River water passes through the streets and lanes, ruthlessly swallows large areas of houses and farmland, and there is a vast sea everywhere”, which paves the way for the theme display of “no lover in the flood”. Then, three flood fighting scenes were expanded, “wading in the water with an old grandmother on his back”, “dressing a child’s wound with a medicine box on his arm”, “the boss was leaning on a crutch and holding the clothes he had received, as if to say:” good Communist Party! Socialism is good! “It vividly describes the vivid picture of “one side is in trouble and all sides support”, which makes the content of color photos more colorful.。

Fighting Against Earthquake
Japan was rocked by a huge 9.0-magnitude earthquake on March 11th, 2011. The earthquake was sending a 10-metre tsunami slamming into its Pacific coastline. I was shocked when I heard about the bad news. Why were there so many disasters in the world?
The massive quake and tsunami, killed more than 10,000 people, was being described as the nation's biggest crisis since World War II. The country was struggling to respond to a disaster of epic proportions, with millions of people without water or power and whole towns wiped off the map. What's more was nuclear power station explosion.
More than 50 countries had offered Japan help. A team from South Korea touched down in Tokyo. The U.S. Military, which maintained several bases in Japan, was also taking part in the rescue effort. China's Prime Minister Wen Jiabao also expressed deep sympathy for the Japanese people and officials from China's Earthquake Administration told the Xinhua news agency that rescuers were prepared to travel to those ares affected by the quake.
Though a lot of countries including China had sent many rescuers to help Japanese. The Japanese are still in misery. We
didn't intend to be insensitive or to poke fun at the disaster. We were going to do our best to aid those Japanese people who were suffering the pain from the devastating earthquake.
Amid the devastation, there had been precious few survivers. It was a miracle of a baby girl plucked from the rubble. Four-month-old reunited with her father after incredible rescue. For a brief moment, the horrors of the disaster were brightened by one helpless baby's story of survival.
Through that national crisis we know that how important is the help from all over the world.。
