But the water also absorbs bacteria, irritants and protein which can result in cloudy vision, infection and cornea ulcers.Disposable lenses cost about $365 for the first year and $280 there-after, but competition will drive the price down. Extended-wear lenses range from approximately $150 to more than $400, but need replacing once or twice a year.
