主要表现在以下几个方面：1．缺乏积极的学习态度和毅力不少学生对英语学习的努力程度不够。
平时，他们有学好英语的愿望，但缺乏学习的毅力，没有长期努力的思想准备。
2. 缺乏对英语的兴趣和信心对英语的兴趣“一般”或“不大”的人数较多，尤其是男生。
自信心强的学生英语学习水平较高，而缺乏自信心的学生，由于害怕出错，得到的操练机会少，语言能力提高就不明显。
3. 缺乏最基本的学习方法在平时的学习中，学生以学习单词，记忆单词为主，精力都放在了记忆单词上面。
对课文的朗读不够，背诵也没有达到一定的量。
虽然老师有所指导，但效果不是很明显。
4、学习英语的自觉性差学生英语差，与学生自身的基础有关系，但也与学校的政策导向有关系。
都知道英语成绩提高慢，短期内看不到效果，所以学校往往重视成绩提高明显的学科。
平时学习中，这些学科作业较多，老师又盯得紧。
学生根本没时间学英语，时间一长，学生自然会忽略英语的学习。
学生本人也知道，学英语短时间内不会取得明显效果。
慢慢地，学生学英语的自觉性越来越差。
因此，设计本节课时，基于以上原因，对教材只是进行了适当的挖掘和拓展。
效果分析新课程提倡自主、合作、探究的学习方式，课堂教学是学生学习科学文化知识的主阵地，也是对学生进行思想品德教育的主渠道。
教师应着力构建自主的课堂，让学生在生动、活泼的状态中高效率地学习。
我在本节课中的教学中主要运用了以下几种方法。
一、创设学习情境，激发学生的学习兴趣“兴趣是最好的老师,有兴趣不是负担”,这句话饱含深刻的道理。
对知识有浓厚兴趣时,就会产生不断前进,渴求新知,欲求明白的强烈渴望,就会全身心的投入到所感兴趣的学习中。
本节课中，不论是课件的设计，还是课堂活动的组织，还是学案的编写，都仅仅围绕学生。
同时，课上鼓励学生大胆提问，耐心细致地回答学生提出的问题，并给予及时的肯定和表扬，增强学生提问的勇气和信心。
二、鼓励学生主动参与要使课堂教学真正成为高校课堂的主渠道，必须着力唤醒学生的主体意识，让学生主动地参与教学活动。
在课堂教学中应坚持学生活动的自主性，使学生主体处于活跃兴奋状态，使学习成为学生自己的活动，让学生在教学实践过程中学会选择、学会参与。
为了让学生积极参与到课堂中，我设计了小组评价机制，学生没回答一问题或参与到活动中，都会有相应的加分。
最后，得分最高者获胜。
这种办法在scanning和discussion活动中都有体现，它一定程度上调动了学生学习的积极性。
三、创设高效的课堂在本节课中，我首先让学生去发现问题、主动质疑。
