Racial Discrimination (Chris) Racial Discrimination —it’s one of the most controversial topics in the world. There have been and still are people in the world that risk their lives for anti-discrimination. We must say no to racism. Today I want to talk about the meaning and manifestation of racial discrimination, complexional discrimination and ethnic discrimination.Different nations have their own unique culture, so there must be a difference between others and different degrees of racial discrimination. Racial discrimination refers to the unjust or prejudicial treatment of race, appearance and ethnicity. Racial discrimination has always thought to be a concept found in western cou ntries. For example, “The American black problem”, “Hitler persecuting the Jews”.But there are also some examples for discrimination in other oriental countries.One of the most serious events of complexional discrimination occurred in the United Sates by white people against the blacks. Black people were deprived of the same treatment as whites due to the fact that their skin was different. During the black slave period, black people had no voting rights or citizenship. They had bad living conditions and could hardly get an education. In poverty, the lack of opportunity caused high crime rates. During this time there was a man — Martin Luther King, Jr. — that emerged as a main proponent in the fight for black rights. So can we forget the color of each other?Ethic discrimination is also a controversial problem. In the past, Indians (Native Americans) are America’s oldest residents. They created a high degree of ancient civilization. But after the founding of the United States, Americans killed the Indians and relocated them to the western part of the country. But there is no exception in China. There are 56 nationalities and mostly are Han nationalities. Due to the religious belief, diet, lifestyle and other cultural differences of China’s minorities, the Han also discriminate against them in some things. Such as the Han can’t marry with them, the Han look upon with them and do not speak with them. Here I hope on this land we can forget these factors and get along well with each other.In conclusion, I have told you the Racial Discrimination and Anti-discrimination. Like starting to take regular exercise and make yourself slim ,so you can try every types of cloth style and you don’t have to ask a salesman whether if they have a big one. The irony of this thing is that at the last night before the exam, your roommates have already fell asleep, but you have to stay up late to review, then you would regret for procrastinating every thing into last minute.Body 1:From what i just said, i think that every person here has these moments of regret. Because we want to be better. When you are old and gray ,and look back on your life ,you will want to be proud of what you have done. The source of that pride won’t be the things you have acquired or the recognition you have received. It will be the difference you have made. And by cultivating a good habit, you would change your life.Body2: So what can we do to form a good habit. As Daniel Gilbert,a social psychologist mentioned in his class that we first have to make our habits and then our habits make us , so a little bit stretch should be made when you decided to form a habit ,it brings you out of comfort zone into stretch zone. At the stretch zone, it only makes a little bit difference compared where you were before. For example, when you decide to do some exercise ,don’t try run 8miles a day ,instead starting with brisk walking and build it up gradually. Stretch a little but not too much. Because if you make a big change of your routine,you would enter the panic zone ,which would make you hard to persist. Secondly, persisting our attitude by action, it quite easy to changing our attitude. when we suffer from some unpleasant, our attitude would change immediately. but making it exist for a long time is hard . If our attitude changes, but our behavior doesn’t. Our attitude would be pulled down over time by our habits . So attitude change has to be matched by deeds ,by behavior.Body3:yet i guess many you would say i don’t have too much discipline to engage in this action to get out and run 3 times or 5 times a week . But actually there is discipline, don’t think about making change through discipline,instead making those changes a routine,something you have to do everyday ,just like you have to eat.Conclusion:it is always easier said than done ,unless we start doing theses things right after ,the change is going to be ephemeral, we are gonna go back to where we were before . So taking action now, pick a piece of paper and write the small change you want to make of your habit.。
