(1)Talk about the subjects which Ss like and give reasons.
(2)Talk about other things such as food, city, sport, movie …which Ss like and give reasons.
Teaching Key Points
(1)Have a good grasp of the ways of expression about Ss’ favorite subjects.
(2)Master and make full use of some describing adjectives and talk abo ut the reasons Ss’ likes and dislikes.
Teaching Difficult Points
(1)The meaning and pronunciation of describing adjectives about subjects,
(2)The usage of personal pronouns and possessive pronouns.

Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Review (About 5 minutes)
Ask and answer:Talk about the sports.
1. Do you like basketball?
2. Do you like running?
3. What kind of sports do you like? In this way, we can begin our new lesson.
Step 2 Lead-in (la) (About 5 minutes)
Ask the students to tell what they see in each picture. Guide them to understand that each picture shows a different class in school.
English.
Math.
History
Art.
My favorite subject Music.
P.E..
Biology.
Politics
Handwriting.
Geography.
Computer.
Encourage the students to answer the questions repeat. Write the vocabulary on the blackboard ask the students to repeat.
Then ask the students to match the words with pictures.
Finally check the answers.
Step 3 Listening (lb) (About 4 minutes)
We have many different subjects everyday. Now Let’s listen to the tape and circle the subjects in la. Play the recording twice, for the first time, only listen, for the second time, circle the subjects you hear.
Step 4 Practice (lc) (About 8 minutes)
Ask the students to work in pairs with their, partners, then make their own conversations. For example:
—What’s your favorite subject?
—My favorite subject is …
Step 5 Listening (2a) (About 3 minutes)
Play the rec ording, let students just listen and try to understand what’s the conversation talking about. Then, play the recording again, ask the students to put the conversation in order.
