Step 1 Greetings and Revision (About 10 minutes)
1. Greeting the whole class as usual. (About 2 minutes)
e. g. :What's yo ur name? What’s your phone number?
Nice to meet you. etc.
2. Revision (About 3 minutes)
(1)Ask and answer like this:
—Is this/ that your pencil?
—Yes, it is. It’s mine.
—No, it isn’t. It’s his/ hers.
(2) Role-play (About 5 minutes)
Let students finish the role-play of Section A 2d, then ask some pairs to perform them conversations in front of the class.
Step 2 Presentation (About 8 minutes)
After finishing the role-play, ask students to find out the key points in the conversation and make si milar sentences using “What about …?”and “Thank you for….”(About 3 minutes)
Grammar Focus:Summarize the key points in Section A and let the students know how to use and practice them. (About 5 minutes)
Step 3 Practice (About 8 minutes)
1. Ask students to look at the pictures on page 15, 3a. Let them complete the questions and answers about each picture. (About 4 minutes)
2. Read the questions and complete the answers on page 15, 3b. Then ask and answer in pairs. (About 4 minutes)
Step 4 Find the owner (About 10 minutes)
Put some things into the teacher’s box. The n take something out of the box and find the owner. Language used for the task:
Is this your eraser?
Yes, it is. / No. it isn’t.
Step 5 Summary (About 5 minutes)
Let someone speak out the points in this class, and then the teacher should give a complement to the students’ answers.
Step 6 Homework (About 4 minutes)
Practice the conversations in this class.
Memorize the words in this part.
