Pre-writing:
Step1:Topic review
1.Show the pictures and let the ss talk about the rules .
【设计意图】复习有关校规的句型表达方法,为写作打好基础,有利于学生写作时能够灵活运用。
Step 2 Warming up and lead-in
At the beginning of the class, Ss will look at Zhou Qiaoyu’s rules at home. Then ask and answer in pairs.

【设计意图】此环节通过图片介绍一个小女孩的家规,培养学生学习兴趣,有利于引导学生打开写作思路。Step 3 Speaking:

【设计意图】说是写作的前提,通过说和交流激起思维火花的碰撞,为写作打下基础。
Step 4 Writing
3a Ss complete Zhao Pei’s letter. After that , ask ss to check the answers in groups.
3b Complete the chart with the rules in your home and
school. Check the rules you think are unfair.
【设计意图】通过调查表的完成和对话练习,学会模仿运用,并通过转述表格内容,进一步内化写作要求和写作要点。
While-writing:
Step1:Making up an outline
1.Introduce their rules in their home and school.
2.Talk about how you feel about the rules.

Step2: Writing and repairing
1.介绍写作要求:
第一步:确定本文的书信格式。
第二步:列举在家和学校的一些规则,注意正确使用下列句型:I can/can’t/ must/have to+动词原形。最后谈
论自己对这些规则的看法与感觉。
第三步;成段成篇,修订完善,注意标点符号的使用。
2.展示一篇范文,写作过程中应用如下句型:

Dear Dr. Know,
Can you help me? I’m not happy because there’re too
many rules in my life. I must get up before 6:30 and
practice English every morning. I can’t go out on school
nights. I can’t meet friends on school days.I must do my
homework first after school. I can’t watch TV before I

school. I have to keep my hair short. I can’t be noisy or
eat in class. What can I do?
【设计意图】此环节本课的重中之重,学生在正确的引导之下动笔自主练习。教师指导学生学会运用不同结构的句型。之后学生进行修改,交流,再提高。
Post-writing:
Step1:Showing the results
Invite three or four students to read their essays to everyone. The teacher and the other students give some suggestions and encouragement.
And then have a student make an interview about the writing. He may ask questions like the following: eg Can you…? Do you have to…?
Report the writing in front of the class. Encourage more students to interview others.
【设计意图】通过展示,让学生更加熟悉句型,通过其他同学的提问,可以更好的交流。
