Good afternoon, dear teachers and judges. I’m glad to introduce my teaching design here.Today I’m going to talk about Part B,of Unit3 ,PEP Primary English ,Book 3.This unit is mainly about my friends. Now,I will explain the lesson from the following steps.
I.Contents:
This lesson includes two parts: Let’s talk and Let’s play.In section1,it mainly deals with the key words:or,glasses,shoes,right, the dialogue about“Who is he? Is he …?”and the answers. In section2,describe your friends with the sentences:He is …and He has...
II. Teaching aims:
1.Aims on the knowledge
To enable the Ss to understand and speak:He has glasses and…Make sure that Ss can use these sentences in real situations.
2.Aims on the abilities
(1)To develop Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking.
(2)To train the Ss’ ability of working in groups.
3.Aims on the emotion
(1)To fost er Ss’ consciousness of good co operation and proper competition.
(2)To lead Ss to understand the friendship is important.
III. Key-points of this lesson:
(1)To let Ss act and use: He has glasses and…to describe friends.
(2)To enable Ss to study in groups and cooperate skillfully.
(3)To develop Ss’ interest in English.
IV. Difficult points:
Act the dialogue and use the sentences:H e is ….H e has…His shoes are…
V. Teaching methods:
In this lesson I’ll mainly use “learn by group co operate” teaching method. I will let the Ss learn in real situations, help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arrange four kinds of activities: singing, guessing game, palying in roles and having a competition.
VI. Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing:
I’ll finish this lesson in four steps.
Step 1. Warm-up and preview
1.Sing the song together:Friends
2.Revise the words: tall,short,strong,thin,her,his.
Purpose:Let Ss be interested in English by singing.
Step 2. Presentation
Now I’ll mainly talk about this step.
1.First,show some pictures to learn news words: or, glasses, shoes,then read the words in groups, Pay attention to their pronunciation. Purpose: Let Ss understand the meaning of news words.
2.Watch the video and answer: Who’s Mike’s friend?
Let Ss listen to the tape again and imitate the dialogue. Let the Ss play roles to practice the dialogue with partern, then ask some groups of students come to the front of classroom to practice the dialogue in the masks of John and Mike.
Purpose: To present the key structures,grasp the meanings.
Step 3 Practice
1.According to words and phrases to make new sentences. Make sure they can say it correctly.Then give them a surprise.
Purpose: Grasp the key words:glasses,shoes,proper competition can arouse the Ss’ interest in English learning.
2. Play a guessing game.
First,I will show some sentences to Ss. I have a good friend.She’s a teacher.S he is…S he has…then let Ss guess:Who is she?At the same time,I’ll show a photo of my friend.Next,let Ss talk about their friends in groups.At last,I will ask some Ss to check it.
Step 4 Exercises
1. Choose the best answer.Check the answer together.
2.Teach the sentence:Everything is good when new, but friend when old.
Purpose: To check the knowledge Ss have learned in this period. Develop the Ss’ ability of communication.Let Ss realize friendship is important.。
