BIOGRAPHY
• Born in 1937 • Wellington, New Zealand • Teacher • Writer
CHAIN OF EVENTS • Maria ,waitress ,dining hall, manager Mrs. Jackson’s ,refuses to give second helpings, Darlene ,injured ,sent to the hospital.
IN CONCLUSION – IN GRACE’S STORIES
• Settings are often indoors. • Settings are playing an important part in reflecting the society.
• Characters are frequently vulnerable groups. • Characters are realistic, simple people.
SETTING
• dining-hall ,the disabled people, • shuffling, stumbling, clenching teeth, flapping an arm, dragging a leg, making noises • meals, • arrived at the tables, sat down ,chomping the food, eating the mince and vegetables
