Is College Education Worth It?
It is reported that 2 million graduates cannot find a satisfied job in 2014 and the average salary for fresh man is merely around ￥2，400。

Therefore，the value of college education has aroused people's concern recently。

According to some surveys，college education may be futile。

However，a number of people claim that knowledge can change one’s life. In my opinion, college education still plays a critical role in today’s society。

Numerous reasons are capable of supporting my opinion and I shall here explore only a few of the most important ones. To begin with，temporary problems in the job market do not mean knowledge is useless. The phenomenon in today's job market is the result of the over expansion and low quality of many Chinese University. Also，many college graduates can’t find jobs because they didn't get the right kind of knowledge. Take economics students for example, if they just learn principles in books, instead of paying attention to current situation and the latest findings，they will be knocked out by this constantly changing word. Only if we improve our university education according to what the country and economy really need, graduates will once more be in favor。

Actually，the value of college education should not be underestimated. The aim of the college education is not just about making money and getting a stable job. Knowledge also helps people find other happiness in life and peace of mind。

Besides，the Chinese economy still badly needs a good deal of well—educated and trained people. To make a long story short, education and knowledge can greatly improve people’s quality of life in the long run。

Certainly，college education has a lot of advantages，but in reality we should also note that only knowled ge is no longer enough for young people to change lives in today’s China。

First of all, they need not only diplomas, but also opportunities and strong connections。

Moreover，there is an oversupply of well—educated young people which drive them to change their occupation choices to adjust this situation。

It is a fact that the quality of some college is not satisfactory, which is also our inevitable problem to solve.
All in all, I would concede that in some ways college education does not work that much. Nevertheless，the advantages of college education outweigh the shortcomings of it in the long—term。

In brief, there is no doubt that college is definitely worthwhile, especially under the circumstance that we treat it correctly.。
