We lived on the banks of the Tennessee River, and we owned the summers when we were girls. We ran wild through wet summer days that never ended. We floated(漂浮) down rivers of weekdays with no school, no rules , no parents except our fantasies. We were good girls, my sister and I. We had nothing to rebel〔反叛〕against. This was just life as we knew it, and we knew the summers to be continued and to be ours.
I liked walking to the mailbox in my bare(赤裸) feet and leaving footprints on the dewy〔带露水的〕 grass. I imagined that feeling the wetness on the bottom of my feet made me a poet. I had never read poetry. But I imagined that people who knew of such things would walk to their mailboxes through the morning dew in their bare feet.
One day a thunderstorm blew up forth the Tennessee River. It was one of so many crazy storms in such a season that made the day go dark and the humidity (潮湿) disappear. First it was still and quiet. There was electricity in the air and then a heavy rain poured down as the winds rushed in. We threw open all the doors and windows.
We turned on the radio and let the wind blow through the house. We turned around in the wind and in the music, imagining that we were poets and dancers and scientists.
We imagined that if we could let everything --the thunder, the storm, the wind, the world--into that house on the banks of the Tennessee River, we could live in our summer dreams forever.

Although mobile phones have brought a lot of convenience to people, they have also brought troubles.
Besides endless spam text message(垃圾短信), another problem seems even more annoying. That is the so-called “one ring〞 call. It is a phone call that only rings one time and stops before the receiver is able to pick it up. When the receiver calls back, the other side is usually a recorded advertisement. And by the time people realize that they have been hoaxed, they’ve already paid for the call.
An article in the China Youth Daily says that these terrible calls trouble many mobile users day and night. But up till now, the government hasn’t taken any steps to solve the problem. It seems that if someone chooses to use a cellphone, he must bear the trouble.
The number of mobile phone users in China has risen to more than 570 million. Thanks to news reports, many people have come to understand the harm of the “one ring〞 call. Some users say they won’t call back if it is an unknown number. But the article points out that this doesn’t mean the related government departments should turn a blind eye to it.
According to an online survey of more than 200,000 Chinese netizens, nearly 70 percent believed telecommunication operators make money from these annoying phone calls. The article argues that “one ring〞 calls not only take away people’s money, but also trouble their lives.
New technology should not do harm to society. Instead, people should enjoy the convenience of information technology. Thus, the article advises that laws should be set up to protect people’s legal rights.

A. selected
B. cheated
C. heard
D. refused
59. Who helped the mobile users most to realize the harm of the “one ring〞 call?

A. “one ring〞 calls and spam text messages are from the same people.

D.Telecommunication operators hate “one ring〞 calls too.
61. What’s the main idea of this passage?
A.“one ring〞 calls do great harm to our society.

Free energy is everywhere around us. There are many ways to make and collect energy from various sources like sun, wind, water, etc. But somehow people always tend to make things more difficult by not using these renewable sources of energy. In the last few years there have been a great number of new ideas for generating energy. People suddenly realized that everyday stuff can be a source of energy. For instance, riding a bike, running or just walking, etc. But, is there any other option, anything so obvious that we practically can’t imagine that being used for collecting energy? We simply have to change our way of thinking if we want to change the world.
So comes the idea of solar roadways. Are they the road of future? Why use roads just for driving and collecting tolls〔过路费〕? Why don’t we use them for collecting energy.
The US Department of Transportation recently awarded $100,000 to Solar Roadways
to build the first ever Solar Road Panel. So how do these future roads work?
The Solar Road Panels will contain embedded〔嵌入的〕LEDs which “paint〞 the road lines from beneath to provide safer nighttime driving as well as to give drivers instant instructions〔指令〕such as detour〔绕行〕ahead. The road will be able to sense wildlife on the road and can warn drivers to “slow down〞. There will also be embedded heating elements〔元素〕in the surface to prevent snow and ice buildup, providing for safer winter driving.
Replacing asphalt〔沥青〕roads and parking lots with Solar Roadway Panels will be a major step toward halting climate change. Fully electric cars will be able to recharge along the roadway and in parking lots, finally making electric cars practical for long trips.〞
We just can’t wait to see more of these roads all over the world in the near future.
62.The first paragraph serves as a(n) ________.
A. argument
B. comment
C. explanation
D. background
63.From the text, we can know that the Solar Road Panels can ________.
A. provide heat for drivers in winter

C. melt snow and ice soon in winter
D. help drivers see the road clearly in the sun

A. Functions of the road in the future.
B. Development of solar energy.
C. Free energy on the road.
D. Solar Road of the future.
65.What is the writer’s attitude towards the solar road?
A. Supportive
