Unit 2 Lesson 2 Chatting on the Internet教学案例
Status of this period
This is the period of this lesson. Students have learned the new words, expressions and got familiar with the sentence patterns in the text. They’ve finished some exercises on students’ book and workbook. Also, they’ve prepared 7-8 sentences with adverbs of frequency to communicate in class. Teacher should collect information about some hot topics chatted on the net and use of internet in students’study. In addition, teacher should design exercises related to adverbs of frequency and questionnaire of the text.
Teaching Aims
1. To consolidate what students have learned in last lesson.
2. To teach the students how to use the adverbs of frequency.
3. To develop students’ skill of asking information and expressing opinions.
4. To improve their spirit of team work through activities like making a survey.
Teaching Aids
1.Multi-media
2.Copies of exercises and some information
3. A microphone as stage prop
Teaching Procedures:
I. Do warming up
Daily Talk: Making a phone call.
II. Review the adverbs of frequency.
1.Game: Clap and Say
T: (Show “zero” by gesture)
S: Never
T: (Clap once, twice, three times…)
S: ever, not often, sometimes…
Then do translations which include these adverbs.
(听击掌来说出频率副词,通过这种小游戏,在增强趣味性的同时,使同学们更熟练、快捷地掌握本知识点。

2.Go over “How often…?” and its answer
T: (to the two speakers of daily talk) Do you telephone each other very often?
S: No, just sometimes.
T: How often do you have the science week in your school?
S: Once a term.
T: Now let’s share the sentences you’ve made. But you can choose anyone in the classroom to ask “How often…?” according to your sentences. Please use complete sentences.

T: How are you getting along with your schoolwork?
S: Pretty well, thanks.
T: How often do you do school projects?
S: Once a month
T: Take out your handout . There are some tasks in it. Look at Task I---Pair Work. Please make dialogues with your partner, using the word cues provided.

4.Introduction of the Simple Present Tense.
T: We often use these adverbs in the Simple Present Tense to express our frequency of doing things or natural phenomena. Well, I received an e-mail from my friend in London. I’d like to introduce her life to you all. After that I will ask you some questions , so you’d better take notes while listening .
First reading: Teacher reads a short passage which has a lot of adverbs of frequency in it. Next, ask questions especially focusing on these adverbs .
Task II---Fill in the table.
Second reading: Read the email more slowly to provide enough information to fill in the table on their handouts. And then ask some advanced students to retell the passage and other students to translate some key sentences in it.
(教师设计前面造句和对话的练习,为这个练习设置了坡度,所以本听力练习应该是学生们力所能及的.而复述短文对他们来说仍是一个不小的挑战,所以让程度较好的同学试着现参与.同时,短文以一般现在时出现,及时复习前面提到的内容.)
III. Conduct a survey
Game I: Little Reporter
T: This game needs your group work to work out a questionnaire. It’s about your fun time. What do you often do for fun? How often do you have these activities? You can ask your group members these questions to gather enough information for your
questionnaire as a reporter.
Game II: Guess, Guess, Who are you?
Invite two students of each group to give their presentation , others guess who he or she is.
(设计“我是小记者”和“猜猜你是谁”这两个游戏, 目的是为了培养学生用英语向他人询问采集信息的能力, 培养他们整合信息进行5-8句短文陈述的能力.因为采访和描述都是自己熟悉的同学, 加上猜谜的游戏,教师以此来激发同学们的学习和参与兴趣.)
IV. Summary.
T: Let’s recall what we have learned in this lesson. On the basis of the new words and expressions in this lesson, we reviewed the text thus we have a better understanding of the internet and what we can talk with others on it. I believe now at least most of you can use adverbs of frequency correctly. They are truly useful and I hope you can often use them in your compositions and everyday life. At last, I ask each group to design a questionnaire with the topic---Internet helps us study English and conduct the survey. Write 5—8 sentences according to the conduct. Of course, you can collect information on the Net for it or help each other to finish it. That’s what we will have in our daily talk.

教后感
在新授课教授完词组课文,同学们简单学习了频率副词之后,本课通过许多趣味性的游戏和练习,对这些知识点进行梳理,串联和更深入地巩固.在课堂内容的设计中,我有意渗透“学以致用”的教学理念,把语法知识与交际口语和实际生活结合起来,同学们在听,说,读,写中自然获得了锻炼,提高和启发.当然,在灌输知识点的同时,对于预备年级的学生来说培养语感和学习兴趣,培养团队写作精神和发挥主观能动创造力也绝对不可忽视,这些是我在本节课的各个环节着重体现的部分. 在今后的教学中,还要继续努力着眼于课堂以学生为本,以学生学习的发展为本的理念来引导学生夯实学习基础,激发学习兴趣.。
