简单句,顾名思义就是只有一个谓语的独立英语句子,而复合句分为并列复合句和从属复合句。

并列复合句是指由and,but,both……and等连接的句子。

从属复合句分为:名词性从句、形容词从句(也叫定语从句),副词从句(也叫状语从句)。

名词性从句是把完整的句子当作名词来使用,使之在另外一个句子中充当某种成分。

于是名词性从句按照名词在句子中的角色就可以分为主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句、同位语从句。
