描写北京的小学英语作文40词四年级全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Beijing is the Capital City of ChinaBeijing is the capital city of China. It is a very big and important city. Beijing has a long history of more than 3,000 years! There are so many amazing places to visit in Beijing. One of the most famous places in Beijing is the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the palace where the emperors of China lived a long time ago. It has 9,999 rooms! Can you imagine having that many rooms in your house? The Forbidden City is made of wood and it is painted yellow and red. It is so beautiful. Inside the Forbidden City, there are many pretty gardens with ponds and bridges. I went there on a field trip and it was incredible to see!Another iconic Beijing site is the Great Wall of China. The Great Wall was built a very long time ago to protect China from invaders. It stretches across mountains and deserts for thousands of miles! I climbed a little part of the Great Wall and it was very steep. The steps are very tall. I got tired but the viewsfrom the top were amazing. You can see the Great Wall snaking across the mountains into the distance. It looks like a giant dragon!Beijing also has many beautiful temples. One of the most spectacular is the Temple of Heaven. It has a huge round blue roof and carved dragons and designs all over it. Inside the temple, there are rooms for the emperor to pray. Next to the temple is a park with ancient trees and flowers. My family had a picnic there and fed the squirrels. It was so peaceful and pretty. In Beijing, you can also see the Olympic sites from the 2008 Summer Olympics. The most famous one is the Beijing National Stadium, also called the Bird's Nest because it looks like a huge bird's nest! The stadium has a cool design with steel beams twisted all around the outside. At night, it lights up in different colors and looks amazing. My brother and I dream of playing sports in that huge stadium one day.Beijing has some of the best food in China. One of my favorite Beijing foods is peking duck. The duck skin is crispy and you wrap it in a thin pancake with plum sauce and veggies. It is so delicious! Beijing also has amazing dumplings, noodles, and snacks sold by street vendors. I love trying the different tasty foods. There are also many fun parks and activities for kids in Beijing. I really enjoy going to Ritan Park to fly kites with my dad. The park has a big open area perfect for kites. We also like going to the Beijing Zoo to see the pandas. The pandas are so cute and cuddly looking as they munch on bamboo. For holidays, we love seeing the fireworks shows over the city. The fireworks light up the whole sky in bright colors. It is an incredible sight!Beijing is a busy, crowded city too. There is a lot of traffic with cars, buses, and taxis crammed on the roads. It can take a long time to get anywhere! The subways are usually faster than taking a car or bus. They have modern subway stations deep underground. My least favorite part of Beijing is the air pollution. Some days the sky is gray and hazy from all the smoke and dust in the air. It's hard to breathe and we can't play outside those days. I hope Beijing finds ways to have cleaner air.Even though it is crowded and polluted sometimes, I feel so lucky to live in Beijing. It has such an amazing history and culture. There is always something fun to do or tasty to eat. I feel very proud that Beijing is my home city. If you ever come visit, I can show you all my favorite spots around this incredible city!篇2Beijing is the Capital City of China, it's so Big and Exciting!Beijing is the capital city of China and it's a really big and exciting place! I went there last summer with my family on vacation and we had so much fun.The first thing I noticed about Beijing is how crowded and busy it is everywhere. There are people walking and driving all over the place. The roads are full of cars, buses, and even some bicycles and scooters too. The sidewalks are packed with people out shopping or going to work and school. Beijing is a huge city with over 21 million people living there!Another thing that stood out to me in Beijing were all the tall buildings and skyscrapers. The skyline is amazing, with modern glass and steel towers reaching high into the sky. Some of the tallest ones are over 500 meters tall! My neck got pretty sore from constantly looking up. Beijing has some of the biggest and most impressive buildings in the whole world.Another iconic Beijing landmark we visited was the Forbidden City. This was the grand palace where China's emperors lived hundreds of years ago. The whole complex is like a small city itself with hundreds of rooms, halls, gardens, and courtyards surrounded by huge walls and moats. All the traditional architecture with the colorful roofs and intricatedesigns was breathtaking. I felt like I had stepped back in time walking through those ancient buildings. For fun, we went to an amazing acrobat show one evening. The performers did all kinds of incredible flips, balancing acts, and contortions. At one point this guy was spinning plates on a stick with his feet while doing a handstand! It was the most impressive display of skill and athleticism I've ever seen.Another day we visited one of Beijing's oldest neighborhoods called a hutong. These are the narrow winding alleyways lined with traditional courtyard homes. We hired a local guide who took us around by rickshaw. It felt like going back to an older, simpler time before all the modern high-rises were built. The hutongs offered a glimpse into historic Beijing life.Overall, Beijing was an awesome city to visit with my family. There was so much to see and do between the incredible historic sites, amazing food, cultural performances, and just soaking in the bustling big city atmosphere. While parts of Beijing are becoming very modern and westernized, you can still find plenty of traditional Chinese culture and heritage too. I'd love to go back again someday and explore more of this vast, fascinating metropolis!篇3Beijing is the Capital CityBeijing is the capital city of China. It is a very big and important city. I went there on a school trip last month and I saw so many amazing things!Beijing has a really long history going back over 3,000 years. There are lots of old buildings and historic sites everywhere you look. One of the most famous is the Forbidden City. It used to be the palace for the emperors of China. The Forbidden City is huuuuge - it has 9,999 rooms! Our tour guide said it would take years to look in every single one. The buildings are made of beautiful carved wood and brick. Everything is painted red and yellow which are special colors in China. My favorite part was the throne room where the emperor sat. It was all decked out in gold and jade.Another cool historic site we saw was the Temple of Heaven. It's a big park with pretty temples and gardens. A long time ago, the emperor would go there to pray for good harvests. We got to see the amazing echo wall - you can stand at one end and hear even a tiny whisper from the other side over 60 meters away! Wealso climbed up the big round altar in the middle for the best view.Beijing has some very interesting modern stuff too. We saw the Birds Nest stadium where the 2008 Olympics were held. It looks just like a birds nest made of twisted steel beams. Next to it is the cool Water Cube aquatic center that looks like a big box of bubbles! Those buildings are so unique and creative.I also liked seeing Tiananmen Square. It's a giant open plaza right in the center of Beijing. Our tour guide said it's the biggest public square in the world and can hold over a million people! There were tons of people there taking pictures in front of the giant portrait of Chairman Mao. On one end is the Forbidden City and the other has the Great Hall of the People where the government works. We even saw the soldiers doing their march and raising the flag in the morning. My absolute favorite thing in Beijing was the Great Wall of China though. It's an enormous stone wall built a long, long time ago to protect China from invaders. I couldn't believe how massive it was and how it snakes over all the mountains as far as you can see. We climbed up on a section and walked along the top where the soldiers used to guard. You can see watchtowers dotting the wall every few hundred meters. The bricks are alllined up so perfectly for miles and miles. I felt so small compared to this gigantic structure made entirely by hand such a long time ago. There's still so much more I could say about Beijing! We also saw the old narrow hutong alleys where people have lived for centuries, the fancy shopping districts, amazing museums, beautiful parks and gardens, and more. Beijing has such a unique mix of very old and very new things. I learned so much about China's rich culture and history on this trip. If you ever get a chance to visit the capital, you have to go! Beijing is an incredible city full of surprises around every corner.篇4Beijing is the Capital of ChinaBeijing is the capital city of China. It is a huge city with over 21 million people living there! Beijing has been an important city in China for a very long time. It first became the capital during the Yuan Dynasty, over 700 years ago. Beijing has had many different names like Khanbaliq, Dadu, and Beiping, but its name Beijing means "Northern Capital."The Geography of BeijingBeijing is in northern China and has a dry, continental climate. That means the winters are cold and dry, while the summers are hot and humid. Sometimes it can be really polluted in Beijing because of the coal plants and factories in the area. Beijing is surrounded by mountains in the north, west and northwest. The city is very flat and most of it is only a little bit above sea level. The Sights of BeijingThere are so many amazing sights to see in Beijing! Beijing has lots of historical sites, temples, gardens, and cultural attractions that draw millions of tourists every year. Some of the most famous Beijing landmarks are:The Forbidden City - This was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties from 1420 to 1912. It has 9,999 rooms and huge courtyards and gardens. Now it is a museum and World Heritage Site.Tiananmen Square - This is a massive public square in the center of Beijing. It can hold over 1 million people! The Tiananmen Gate is at the entrance to the Forbidden City. The Summer Palace - This was the emperors' summer retreat with beautiful gardens, pavilions, temples and a huge manmade lake. It is also a World Heritage Site. The Temple of Heaven - This was a sacred temple where the emperors would pray for good harvests. The closest part of the Great Wall to Beijing is at Badaling. Millions visit this section every year. There are so many other temples, parks, tombs, and attractions in Beijing like the Lama Temple, Beihai Park, the Ming Tombs and the Beijing Zoo. Beijing is jam-packed with places to explore!Beijing CuisineThe food in Beijing is incredible! You can buy snacks and meals from little carts and stalls like sugar candies, fruit on a stick, BBQ meat skewers, steamed buns, pancakes, and more.Customs and CultureBeijing is the political and cultural center of China. The traditions and culture of Beijing come from China's long imperial history. You can see a lot of Beijing's traditions and customs in the architecture, arts, clothing and festivals held in the city. Some examples are:Imperial Clothing - Many people wear traditional Chinese clothing like changshan gowns, qipao dresses and tunic suits.Peking Opera - This classic opera style uses elaborate makeup, masks, singing, dancing and acrobatics. It dates back centuries.Beijing Dialect - Most people in Beijing speak a dialect of Mandarin that is the basis for Standard Mandarin Chinese. There are also lots of festivals celebrated in Beijing like the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year), Lantern Festival, Qingming Festival, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival.Beijing 2022 OlympicsThe 2022 Winter Olympics were just held in Beijing, making it the first city ever to host both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games! New venues were built just for the Olympics like the Beijing National Stadium ("Bird's Nest") and the National Aquatics Center ("Water Cube"). Other events were held at places like the Beijing National Indoor Stadium and Wukesong Sports Center. It was really cool for Beijing to host such an important global event!I love visiting Beijing and learning about its deep history and culture. From the amazing historical sites to the delicious food and customs, Beijing is such an incredible city! I can't wait to go back and explore more of what Beijing has to offer.篇5Beijing, the Capital City of ChinaWow, Beijing is so cool! It's the capital city of China, and it's where I live with my family. There are so many amazing things to see and do here. Let me tell you all about it!First of all, Beijing is huge! It's one of the biggest cities in the world, with over 21 million people living here. Can you imagine that many people? It's like a giant ant colony, but with humans instead of ants. The streets are always busy with people walking, riding bicycles, or driving cars. Sometimes it can be a bit crowded, but I kind of like the hustle and bustle. One of the most famous landmarks in Beijing is the Forbidden City. It's this massive palace complex right in the heart of the city. It used to be where the emperors of China lived a long time ago. The buildings are so beautiful, with their curved roofs and intricate decorations. Walking through the Forbidden City feels like stepping back in time to the days of kings and queens.Another cool place is the Summer Palace. It's a huge garden with lakes, bridges, and all sorts of pretty pavilions. My favorite part is the Marble Boat, which is a giant boat made entirely out of marble! Can you imagine how heavy that must be? I like to pretend that I'm a sailor exploring the high seas whenever I visit there.Beijing also has some really interesting food. One of my favorites is called jiaozi, which are these delicious dumplings filled with meat and vegetables. You can get them boiled or fried, and they're usually served with a tasty dipping sauce. Another classic Beijing dish is Peking duck, which is a crispy-skinned roasted duck that's carved right at your table. It's so juicy and flavorful! One of my favorite things to do on the weekends is to visit one of the many markets in Beijing. You can find all sorts of cool stuff there, like traditional Chinese handicrafts, souvenirs, and delicious street food. My mom always has to drag me away because I want to buy everything!Beijing is also a great place for sports fans. The iconic Bird's Nest Stadium, which hosted the 2008 Olympics, is here. It's this massive structure that looks like a giant bird's nest made out of steel. I dream of one day competing in the Olympics and getting to run or play inside that incredible stadium.Overall, Beijing is just an amazing, vibrant city with so much history and culture. There's always something new and exciting to explore. I feel so lucky to call this place my home. Who knows, maybe one day I'll even become the mayor of Beijing and get to help make it an even better place for everyone!篇6Beijing, My Amazing City!Beijing is the capital city of China and it's amazing! It's a huge city with over 21 million people living there. That's a lot of people! One of my favorite places in Beijing is Tiananmen Square. It's a massive square right in the center of Beijing. I went there on a school trip and it felt like a million people could fit in the square! There are massive buildings all around it too. The most famous one is the Gate of Heavenly Peace which has a giant portrait of Mao Zedong hanging on it.Next to Tiananmen Square is the Forbidden City. This was the palace where the emperors of China lived for hundreds of years. It's called the Forbidden City because regular people weren't allowed to go inside for a very long time. Now it's a museum and anyone can visit. It's made up of nearly a thousand buildings with yellow glazed roof tiles. Everything inside is painted red and has amazing decorations. My favorite part was the Imperial Garden towards the back - it's filled with beautiful scenery like rocks, ponds, and trees.Another cool place I visited was the Temple of Heaven. This is a historic temple where emperors would go and pray for good harvests. The main building is the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests which has the most amazing blue roof tiles. All the buildings there are round instead of rectangular because apparently the ancient Chinese thought heaven was round! The surrounding park is a nice place to wander around too.Beijing has so many other fun things too like museums, parks, shops, and restaurants. My favorite food is definitely Peking duck - it's a famous roasted duck dish that's crispy on the outside and juicy inside. You wrap it in a thin pancake with vegetables and sweet sauce. Yum!One unusual thing about Beijing is the crazy traffic. There are cars, buses, bikes, and people everywhere. I remember my dad said it took over an hour just to go 5 miles because there were so many vehicles! The subways are better for getting around quickly. That's why Beijing is nicknamed the "Jingcheng" which means "the Forbidden Capital." To me though, Beijing just means an amazing city filled with history, culture, and excitement everywhere you look. I'm so lucky I got to visit and explore Beijing. I can't wait to go back again one day!。

介绍一个城市英语作文六年级北京全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Favorite City - Beijing!Hi everyone! Today I want to tell you all about my favorite city in the whole world - Beijing! Beijing is the capital city of China and it's where I was born and raised. It's a huge, bustling city with over 21 million people living there. That's a lot of people! But Beijing is super cool and there's so much awesome stuff to see and do. Let me give you a tour!First up, the famous Forbidden City! This was the palace where the emperors of ancient China lived with their families. It's called the "Forbidden City" because regular people weren't allowed to go inside for a long time. The Forbidden City is made up of almost 1,000 buildings with yellow glazed tile roofs. Walking through the huge courtyards and halls makes me feel like a little emperor myself!Right across from the Forbidden City is Tiananmen Square. This is one of the biggest public squares in the world and a lot of important events have happened here throughout Chinesehistory. Every day, tons of locals and tourists come to walk around, fly kites, and take pictures in front of the giant portrait of Mao Zedong hanging on the gate. The square can fit almost a million people!Another awesome place to visit is the Summer Palace, which used to be the garden and summer retreat for the imperial families. My favorite part is the Long Corridor, which stretches for almost 1 kilometer! The ceilings are painted with thousands of amazing pictures. Walking down the corridor, you feel like you're in an endless butterfly dream. For the real daredevils, you have to go to the Beijing Olympic Park. This is where the 2008 Summer Olympics were held. You can see the iconic Bird's Nest stadium and even go up to the top for an amazing view of the whole city! My friends and I love racing each other up and down the stairs. It's an awesome workout.Of course, you can't forget about the Great Wall of China, one of the true Wonders of the World. Parts of the Great Wall are just a short drive outside of Beijing. It's incredible to stand on this massive stone wall snaking over the mountains as far as the eye can see. It makes you feel so tiny but also proud to be Chinese. My parents say I have to hike the whole thing one day! When I'm not exploring the amazing historic sites, I love just wandering around the lively hutong neighborhoods. Hutongs are the old alleyways and courtyard homes where you can still find traditional stores, tea houses, bell towers, and drum towers. It's like stepping back in time! Plus, the hutongs are where you'll find the most delicious Beijing street food - jianbing crepes, tanghulu candied fruit, and my personal favorite, stinky tofu!Speaking of food, Beijing has some of the yummiest cuisine in the country. We're the hometown of real Beijing duck - thin crispy skin with soft tender meat that you wrap up in a little pancake with scallions, cucumber, and sweet bean sauce. Just typing about it is making my mouth water! Beijing is also famous for hot pot, where you cook a huge variety of meats and veggies right at your table in a big simmering pot of broth. It's the ultimate interactive meal that brings everyone together. As you can probably tell by now, I'm obsessed with Beijing and all it has to offer. The deep history and rich culture everywhere you look. The perfect blend of ancient traditions with modern innovation. The endless options for sightseeing, activities, entertainment, and out-of-this-world dining. Beijing has been my beloved home for my whole life and I feel so lucky.Whether you're an adventurous tourist or a lifelong local like me, Beijing will take your breath away every single day. From the majestic palaces and temples to the bustling markets and food stalls, this city is truly one-of-a-kind. I've traveled to other parts of China and even other countries, but nowhere matches the energy and spirit of Beijing. It's always pulling me back home.So what are you waiting for? Grab your walking shoes and Mongolia air tickets. Come experience the wonders of Beijing for yourself! I'll show you all the best spots. Just don't challenge me to a race up the Bird's Nest stairs - I never lose!篇2My Awesome Trip to BeijingLast summer, my family and I went on an amazing trip to Beijing, the capital city of China! Beijing is a huge and bustling city with a very long history. It was my first time visiting and I was so excited to explore this fascinating place. We flew into Beijing Capital International Airport, one of the biggest and busiest airports in the world. As soon as we stepped outside, I was blown away by how different everything looked and smelled compared to my hometown. The air was a bit hazyfrom all the traffic and construction, but it gave the city a cool, mysterious vibe. Our first stop was Tian'anmen Square, the massive public plaza right in the heart of Beijing. It's one of the largest city squares in the world and can fit like a million people! We walked across the ancient stones under the huge portrait of Chairman Mao hanging on the gate. The buildings around the square were so grand and ornately decorated. I felt tiny in comparison.Right next to Tian'anmen Square is the mind-blowing Forbidden City. This was the imperial palace where Chinese emperors lived for almost 500 years until the last dynasty ended in 1912. It's absolutely ginormous, with 9,999 rooms! We spent an entire day wandering through all the different halls, temples, gardens and corridors. Everything was built and decorated on the grandest scale imaginable, with bright red walls, yellow-glaze tiled roofs, huge wooden pillars and intricate carvings everywhere you looked. My favorite was the Imperial Garden, filled with wild rock formations, ponds and pavilions. So peaceful and pretty! The next day, we visited the Great Wall of China. This ancient wall snakes over huge mountain ridges for thousands of miles across northern China. We took a cable car up to a section calledBadaling and spent a couple hours hiking along the steep stone pathways. Some parts were totally vertical and had me huffing and puffing! But the views from up there were unbelievable, looking out over the misty green mountains. The Great Wall was originally built for defense, but it must have been an incredible feat of engineering and hard work to construct such a massive series of fortifications over that harsh terrain. No wonder it's considered one of the man-made wonders of the world! We also explored some of Beijing's oldest neighborhoods called hutongs. These are narrow alleys crisscrossed with courtyard homes built in the traditional style. It was like stepping back in time wandering through the hutongs - old men sitting outside playing Chinese chess, kids running around, stores selling all kinds of random goods from buckets, and lots of appetizing smells coming from the family-run restaurants. We had some incredible Beijing cuisine like tangy hot pot, crispy peking duck, and jianbing which is an amazing egg crepe snack. Definitely some of the tastiest and most unique food I've ever had!One night, we attended a cultural show with amazing acrobatics, juggling, contortionists and plate spinning. I have no clue how they could twist and bend their bodies into those crazypositions! Another day, we visited the Beijing Zoo to see the famous pandas chomping on bamboo shoots. Those pudgy bears were so cute and lazy, just lounging around and munching away.Beijing has such a wonderful blend of the ancient and modern worlds. We saw old temples and imperial buildings from dynasties past, but also towering modern skyscrapers, huge malls, tons of lights and video boards, and a super efficient subway system. The city just kept blowing me away with new sights and sounds around every corner.I loved soaking in the culture and history, but also the energy and excitement of Beijing's growth into a major global city. There was so much more we could have explored if we had more time. From the delicious authentic food to themind-boggling historical sights to the warm and welcoming people, Beijing is an absolutely awesome place that I can't wait to visit again someday. This trip was an adventure I'll never forget!篇3My Awesome City - Beijing!Wow, you want me to tell you all about my city? Get ready, because Beijing is the coolest place ever! It's the capital of China and one of the biggest cities in the world. There's so much to see and do here, I don't even know where to start.I guess I'll begin with the mind-blowing historical sites. Beijing has been around for like, a million years, so there are tons of incredible old buildings and palaces. The Forbidden City is my favorite - it used to be the home of Chinese emperors! Can you imagine living in a place with 9,999 rooms? I'd get lost every day! The halls and gardens are breathtaking with bright colors, intricate carvings, and these massive wooden pillars holding everything up. I love learning about the customs and traditions from way back when.Speaking of old stuff, Beijing has some of the craziest temples and monuments too. The Temple of Heaven is this wooden structure where emperors would pray for good harvests. The architecture looks like it's straight out of a fairytale with its blue-tiled roofs and carved dragon designs. And then there's the Bell Tower and Drum Tower that were used to tell time in ancient days before clocks and smartphones existed! It's wild to imagine what life was like back then. But Beijing isn't just about history - it's a modern, bustling city too! The streets are always buzzing with people, cars, bikes, and fascinating shops and restaurants. My parents sometimes take me to Wangfujing Street which is this huge pedestrian shopping area. You can find anything you want there - clothes, toys, books, trinkets, snacks, you name it. The food stalls are unbelievable with stuff like candied strawberry kebabs, chewy milk candy, and exotic fried snacks. It's a carnival for your tastebuds! And let me tell you about the food in Beijing - it's out of this world! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. There's the iconic Beijing roast duck that's crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. You wrap it in a little pancake with some sauce...heaven! Then you've got the delicious Beijing noodles like zhajiangmian, which are thick, chewy noodles smothered in a savory bean sauce. Don't even get me started on the dumplings - steamed, fried, soup dumplings...I've tried them all and they're all amazing. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this!As if the sights, sounds, and flavors weren't enough, Beijing has some awesome parks and outdoor spaces too. My favorite is Beihai Park right in the city center. It has gardens, temples, bridges over lakes, and even an island! You can rent a little boatand cruise around the water if you want. It's the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle for a little while. During public holidays, the park is packed with families having picnics, flying kites, and just hanging out. So much fun!I haven't even mentioned Tiananmen Square which is one of the biggest public plazas in the world. Or the mind-boggling Bird's Nest and Water Cube stadiums from the 2008 Olympics. Or cool places like the Beijing Zoo, the Planetarium, art districts, and more. There's just too much coolness in Beijing to fit into one essay!Basically, Beijing is my favorite place on Earth. It's a magical blend of old and new with amazing sights, sounds, smells, and flavors around every corner. The culture here is so vibrant and there's always some special festival, event, or holiday happening.I feel so lucky to call Beijing my home. If you ever get a chance to visit, you'll understand why I love my city so much! I've got to run now, but I hope I could give you a little taste of how awesome Beijing is. Let me know if you have any other questions!篇4My Awesome City - BeijingHey there! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm a sixth-grader living in the amazing city of Beijing. Today, I'm going to tell you all about my hometown and why I think it's the coolest place ever! Get ready for an adventure because Beijing is like no other city in the world.First off, let's talk about the history of this place. Beijing has been around for over 3,000 years! Can you believe that? It's one of the oldest cities in the world and has served as the capital of China for many dynasties. You can find ancient treasures and historical sites all over the city, like the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, and the Temple of Heaven. These places are so cool, it's like stepping back in time! The Forbidden City is my favorite historical spot. It used to be the imperial palace where emperors lived with their families and servants. The whole complex is massive, with 9,999 rooms and a ton of courtyards and gardens. It's called the "Forbidden City" because regular people weren't allowed to enter back in the day. Imagine how jealous everyone must have been! But Beijing isn't just about old stuff. It's also a super modern city with towering skyscrapers, fancy shopping malls, andhigh-tech subways. The Beijing National Stadium, also known as the "Bird's Nest," is one of the most iconic modern landmarks. Itwas built for the 2008 Summer Olympics and looks like a giant bird's nest made of steel! They host all kinds of cool events and concerts there.Speaking of events, Beijing is always buzzing with excitement. Every year, we celebrate the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) with colorful decorations, fireworks, and delicious foods like dumplings and nian gao (sticky rice cake). The whole city comes alive with lion dances, temple fairs, and families gathering together. It's the best time of the year! And let's not forget about the food! Beijing is famous for its mouth-watering cuisine. My favorite dish is the classic Beijing roast duck. The skin is so crispy and the meat is juicy and flavorful. But be careful, it can get a little messy when you're trying to eat it with chopsticks! Other must-try foods include jiaozi (dumplings), zhajiangmian (noodles with a savory soybean paste), and tanghulu (candied fruits on a stick).Of course, no visit to Beijing is complete without seeing the Great Wall of China. It's a little bit outside the city, but totally worth the trip. The Great Wall snakes across mountains and valleys for thousands of miles, and it's one of the most impressive structures ever built by humans. Hiking along theGreat Wall is an unforgettable experience, and you can even stay in a nearby village to really soak in the culture and history. But you know what I love most about Beijing? The people! Beijingers are known for their warm hospitality and sense of humor. They're always cracking jokes and making fun of themselves, which makes the city feel so lively and friendly. My favorite thing is listening to the local Beijing dialect, which sounds totally different from standard Mandarin Chinese. It's like they're speaking their own secret language!Speaking of languages, Beijing is also a great place to learn English. Many schools offer English classes, and you can practice your skills by talking to tourists or joining English clubs. Who knows, maybe you'll become a fluent English speaker just like me!Overall, Beijing is an amazing city that perfectly blends ancient history with modern amenities. It's a place where you can explore centuries-old temples in the morning and go shopping at a fancy mall in the afternoon. There's always something new and exciting to discover, whether it's a hidden alleyway filled with quirky shops or a festival celebrating a traditional holiday. If you ever get the chance to visit Beijing, don't miss out! Trust me, this city will blow your mind with its rich culture, delicious food, and friendly people. Beijing is truly one-of-a-kind, and I'm so lucky to call it my home. Hutongs are the narrow alleys lined with traditional courtyard homes. It's fun to wander through them and see the daily life of local Beijingers. Sometimes you can even spot the famous Beijing opera performers practicing their singing and acting. In the evening, the city lights up in a blaze of neon. 介绍北京的英语作文5句话年级五年级

介绍北京的英语作文5句话年级五年级全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Beijing: China's Historic CapitalHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 5th grade student in Beijing. Today, I want to tell you all about my amazing city. Beijing is the capital of China and one of the most incredible places on Earth. Get ready to learn some fascinating facts!First off, Beijing is an ancient city with a super long history dating back over 3,000 years. Can you believe people have lived here since way back in 1045 BC? Beijing used to be called many different names like Ji, Yanjing, and Khanbaliq. But in 1403 it became known as Beijing, which means "Northern Capital" in Chinese.Over the centuries, Beijing has been home to some of China's most powerful ruling dynasties like the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. These emperors constructed grand palaces, temples, and tombs that we can still visit today. The Forbidden City is probably Beijing's most famous attraction. It's a massive palace complex that was home to 24 different emperors! Withover 9,000 rooms and spanning 180 acres, it's like a small city inside the city. My favorite part is the intricate decorations and the bright yellow glazed roof tiles.Another must-see Beijing landmark is the Temple of Heaven, a set of religious buildings where emperors would perform rituals and make offerings. It has the most beautiful blue-tiled roofs and was considered the most sacred place in the capital. I also love walking through the huge park surrounding the temples. On nice days, you'll see locals practicing Tai Chi, playing chess, or singing opera. It's like stepping back in time!Beijing has loads of other cool historic sites like the Summer Palace, Lama Temple, Confucius Temple and tonnes of traditional hutong neighborhoods with winding alleyways and courtyard homes. But Beijing isn't just about the past - it's a huge, modern, global city too. With over 21 million residents, it's one of the biggest cities on the planet! The city center is filled with soaring skyscrapers, massive shopping malls, neon lights and pretty much anything you can imagine. Beijing hosted the 2008 Summer Olympics which sparked a building boom of stadiums, transportation systems and new infrastructure. The iconic Bird's Nest stadium where theopening ceremonies were held is definitely one of the coolest looking buildings I've ever seen!Speaking of transportation, Beijing has an amazing subway system that helps millions of people get around each day without dealing with the crazy traffic. The subway trains are cheap, efficient and will take you just about anywhere in the city that you need to go. They even have special lines connecting to the airports which is super convenient. When it comes to food, Beijing is famous for dishes like Peking duck, jiaozi dumplings, and mongolian hot pot. There are restaurants galore serving up delicious Chinese cuisine from all over the country too. From street food stalls to upscale dining, you can find it all here. One of my personal favorite treats is the traditional Beijing yogurt drink which is a little bit sour but so refreshing, especially in the summer heat!Overall, Beijing is just an incredible place brimming with culture, history, and nonstop energy. The blend of modern skyscrapers right alongside ancient treasures make it distinct from any other city on Earth. I feel so lucky to call Beijing my home and get to experience all the sights, sounds, and flavors this mega-metropolis has to offer. If you ever get a chance to visit, you're sure to be dazzled!篇2Beijing, the Capital of ChinaBeijing is the capital city of China and one of the most famous cities in the world. It has a long history going back over 3,000 years! I'm going to tell you all about the amazing sights, culture, and food of this incredible place.First, let me talk about some of the top tourist attractions in Beijing. The most iconic site is definitely the Forbidden City. This was the imperial palace for 24 different emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It's a massive complex with 9,999 rooms! Can you imagine having that many bedrooms and halls? I got to walk through the intricately designed buildings and gardens. My favorite part was checking out the Imperial Garden with its beautiful flowers, trees, and pavilions.Another must-see is the Great Wall of China. Parts of this massive wall that stretches thousands of miles were first built over 2,000 years ago! I climbed up the steep steps and walked along the winding pathway on the wall. From up there, you can see the green mountains stretching out into the distance. It was an incredible experience to stand on such an amazing feat of ancient engineering and construction. The Summer Palace is a vast ensemble of palaces, gardens, and lakes in the northwestern outskirts of Beijing. It used to be the retreat for emperors escaping the summer heat. My class took a dragon boat out on Kunming Lake and I pretended I was an emperor relaxing and being rowed around! The palace grounds are filled with amazing examples of traditional Chinese architecture, paintings, and sculptures. The Long Corridor walkway has over 14,000 unique paintings along its length.Beijing is also filled with great examples of cultural attractions beyond the palaces and monuments. The Lama Temple is a stunning Buddhist monastery with several grand halls containing huge Buddha statues covered in jewels and gold. The smell of the incense burning created a mystical atmosphere. The temple has an 18th century art collection with some of the best examples of mandala virtue paintings in the country.Another cultural highlight is the Peking Opera. This traditional opera features singers with elaborate makeup and costumes performing tales of ancient legends. The singing style with its high-pitched vocal discipline is very unique. The stories are performed through a mix of singing, miming, dancing, and acrobatic fighting. It's an art form passed down for centuries that we got to experience at an intimate theater. Now let me tell you about the amazing food scene in Beijing! My absolute favorite Beijing dish is Peking duck. The duck is roasted until the skin is crunchy and the meat is tender and juicy. You wrap it up in thin pancakes with crispy vegetables and a sweet bean sauce. It's out of this world delicious!Beijing is also famous for its different styles of noodles. Zhajiangmian are thick noodles covered in a savory fermented soybean sauce with shredded pork and vegetables. Soybean paste noodles are another classic with a nutty, salty taste. Jian'r literally means "stretched" because the dough is stretched by hand into long noodles. No matter which kind you try, slurping up a big plate of noodles is so satisfying.Speaking of snacks, Beijing has some delicious street food too. You have to try the jianbing, which is a crepe or flatbread stuffed with an egg, crispy wontons, scallions, and a sweet and savory sauce. Tandoori potatoes are another popular snack - they're whole potatoes baked in a tandoor oven until the outsides are crispy and the insides are light and fluffy. For dessert, you can't miss the sugar figures which are shaped like cute animals and cartoon characters out of liquid sugar! There's so much more I could share about the palaces, temples, culture and cuisine of Beijing. It's one of the greatestcities on earth filled with incredible history, architecture, arts, and flavors. I feel so lucky to have visited and experienced so much of the grandeur of this ancient capital. If you ever get a chance to go to Beijing, you are in for the adventure of a lifetime!篇3Beijing is the Capital City of ChinaBeijing is a huge city with over 21 million people living there. It is in the northern part of China, close to the coast. Beijing has been an important city in China for a very long time - over 3,000 years! The city used to be called Peking, but the name was changed to Beijing in 1949.Beijing has many cool places to visit. One of the most famous is the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the home of emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties from 1420 to 1912. It has 980 buildings with beautiful ancient Chinese architecture. Another really famous place is the Great Wall of China. Parts of the Great Wall near Beijing were built over 500 years ago to protect China from invaders. You can actually walk along sections of the Great Wall. It stretches an amazing 13,170 miles across northern China! There are also lots of fun parks in Beijing. The Beijing Zoo has giant pandas, which are my favorite animal. The Olympic Green is where the 2008 Summer Olympic games were held. There are stadiums, plazas, gardens, and forests to explore. You can even go to an amusement park called Happy Valley with big roller coasters. Yum! Beijing is known for delicious foods like Peking duck, dumplings, noodles, and all sorts of fun snacks from street food vendors. The weather in Beijing is different from where I live. It has really cold, snowy winters because it is located far north. But the summers can get really hot and humid. No matter what time of year, there always seems to be a lot of smog in the air from traffic and factories. My friend's mom says the pollution makes it hard to breathe some days. Despite that issue, Beijing seems like an amazing place to visit with its rich history, impressive landmarks, fun activities, and yummy food.I hope I can travel to Beijing's top sites one day. So much of China's culture is centered around this iconic city. Just thinking about trying mouth-watering Peking duck, walking on the Great Wall, and seeing the huge stadiums from the 2008 Olympics gets me really excited! Beijing would definitely be an adventure I'll never forget.篇4Beijing is the capital city of China and one of the most historic and iconic cities in the world. With over 3,000 years of history, Beijing has countless amazing sights and cultural treasures waiting to be explored. One of the top attractions in Beijing is the Forbidden City, which was the imperial palace for 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. I love imagining what life was like there for the emperors and their families.Another must-see Beijing landmark is the Great Wall of China. This incredible fortress winds across the mountains for thousands of miles! Climbing along the Great Wall is challenging but so much fun. The views from the top are breathtaking. I feel proud knowing that the Great Wall was built by the ancient Chinese people using just basic tools and immense strength and determination.Beijing is also home to the Temple of Heaven, a gorgeous religious complex where emperors would pray for good harvests. The Temple grounds are meticulously designed based on cosmic principles. My favorite part is the Echo Wall – you can stand in the center and your voice echoes off the curving walls! It's like the ancient people built the world's first surround sound system. From delicious Beijing cuisine like Peking duck, to fascinating traditions like kung fu shows, to lively festivals like Chinese New Year, Beijing is bursting with amazing cultural experiences. I feel so lucky to be able to visit Beijing and get a taste of China's rich heritage. I can't wait until my family's next trip there so I can keep exploring this remarkable city!篇5Beijing, the Captial City of ChinaBeijing is the capital city of China and one of the most amazing places I've ever been! It's a huge city with over 21 million people living there. That's more than the entire population of some countries! One of the coolest things about Beijing is how it mixes the really old with the super new and modern. You can visit ancient temples and palaces like the Forbidden City that were builthundreds of years ago by emperors. But then you can also see modern skyscrapers and go shopping in gigantic ultra-modern malls. It's like the past and the future existing side-by-side!Speaking of the past, Beijing has some incredible historical sites. The Great Wall of China is just outside the city and it's unbelievably massive. Parts of it were built over 2,000 years ago to protect ancient China from invaders. I got to walk along a section and the views were breathtaking. You can see the Wall snaking along the tops of huge mountains as far as the eye can see. It's one of the great wonders of the world!Another amazing historical place is the Temple of Heaven. This was the most important temple for emperors to make sacrifices and pray for good harvests. The architecture is stunning, with these huge wooden structures decorated with carvings of dragons and phoenix. My favorite part was the Echo Wall where you can stand in one corner and hear people whispering from the opposite side over 60 meters away! It's an incredible acoustic trick. There's just so much to see and do in Beijing. From tasting delicious Beijing roast duck, to visiting colorful markets, to watching dazzling acrobat shows – the city is jam-packed with fascinating culture and exciting activities. I had such anincredible time learning about the rich history and experiencing the modern energy of Beijing. It's a city I'll never forget!篇6Beijing - China's Magnificent Capital CityBeijing is the amazing capital city of China! It's a place full of history, culture, and so many incredible sights. I was lucky enough to visit Beijing with my family last summer, and I want to tell you all about the awesome experiences we had exploring this fascinating city. Our trip started with a visit to the world-famous Forbidden City. This was the imperial palace where emperors lived for almost 500 years! Walking through the enormous red gates into the Forbidden City felt like stepping back in time. We saw halls with beautiful carved wooden pillars, throne rooms decorated with dragons, and peaceful gardens where the emperors used to relax. The Forbidden City is absolutely massive - it has 9,999 rooms! I couldn't believe how big it was. My little brother got tired from all the walking, but I was having too much fun looking at everything to feel tired at all.Next, we went to see the Great Wall of China. This incredible wall winds across mountains and valleys for thousands of miles! We climbed up steep steps to walk along part of the wall. Even though it was tough hiking up all those stairs, the views from the top were incredible. The Great Wall snaked across the green hillsides as far as I could see. Our tour guide told us the Great Wall took over 2,000 years to build and used enough bricks to wrap around the earth 18 times! That's almost impossible to imagine. No wonder it's considered one of the great wonders of the world.Another highlight was exploring the hutongs, which are the old alleyways and neighborhoods in Beijing. We hopped on a pedicab, which is like a bicycle rickshaw, and our driver pedaled us through the narrow winding streets. The hutongs gave us a glimpse of what Beijing looked like long ago, with the traditional courtyard homes, tiny shops, and locals going about their day. We stopped at a family's home for a demonstration of making jianbing, which are delicious crispy crepes. Getting to experience a bit of daily life made me feel like I was truly experiencing authentic Beijing.I could go on and on about all the other amazing palaces, parks, temples, shows, and foods we experienced in Beijing, but I'll stop here. Let's just say that Beijing completely blew me away! From the dazzling modern skyline to the ancient wonders,Beijing is a city unlike anywhere else. I felt so lucky to experience its rich history and traditions. If you ever get the chance to visit Beijing, you absolutely have to go. Just be ready for a lot of walking, because there is so much to see and do in this magnificent capital city!。

介绍北京的英语作文1Last summer, I went to Beijing to travel. There were so many scenic spots, but the most memorable thing I had to remember was the the Badaling Great Wall.People say, "no the Great Wall is not a good man." That day, I take the bus to the Badaling Great Wall, after Bear Park, at the foot of the Great Wall, far see the Great Wall, it is like a long, winding between the high mountains and lofty hills. The Great Wall Shanhaiguan East, West to Jiayuguan, about more than 6700 km. The the Great Wall are built on steep mountains, is magnificent and arduous, of great momentum, like the Dragon Pentium, called the symbol of the Chinese nation. The Great Wall is located in the Badaling, tall and sturdy, is built with huge stone and thousands of tons of bricks, the middle of the road, dont look at it just to leave, this road can hold five or six horses parallel walls, along with more than two meters high on the battlements, those at the mouth and shoot mouth, for watching and shooting war, when necessary. Every certain distance on the the Great Wall, there is a square city platform, in the war between the city and Taiwan can meet each other, people call it "Beacon Tower". After more than 20xx years of construction, it is the longest artificial building in the world and one of the seven wonders of the world.Dont look at the the Great Wall is so majestic, but you havenot thought about that time in the Qin Shihuang unified, it is difficult to build the Great Wall no longer difficult, at that time, no train, no car, no crane, we as can be imagined: "the Great Wall was built?" With countless shoulders and countless hands, it was very difficult to carry the steep mountains step by step. Because of hard work, many people are ill and can not be treated, and they are eventually tortured to death by the disease. Even some of them starved to death because of the lack of food. The hard work of people, with their own sweat and wisdom, it condenses into this before does not see the head, but not the tail of the the Great Wall.Thinking about the great contribution of building the Great Wall, I had to put up my thumbs up and say it! Im just getting on the top of this small part and "rest", and how amazing it is to create that long dragon like the Great Wall. Such an ambitious project is a great miracle in the history of the world.介绍北京的英语作文2As a specialty of Beijing cuisine, Beijing roast duck isunique in not only delicious taste, but also richnutritional value. During the summer vacation, I finally had a common understanding of the ancient the Great Wall scenery of the Chinese nation. But it seems that I am in a lot of mood to go to the Great Wall.Badaling stands in the western suburbs of Beijing, undulating mountains afar, close to the mountain steep, and the green allover the mountains and plains. Light green, green, dark green, dark green, folds, spread to the horizon. In the green ocean, the Great Wall is particularly prominent. It is like a bright yellow dragon, around the peaks, just too desolate, lifeless, too mournful. The Great Wall is still here today, but not when the emperor.Who will remember, once by four, the flames of war, Yin Ma, Changfeng spirits elegy. How many guards its warriors buried in this grave, accompanied by all the past. The years have taken away countless sighs of pain, leaving only it, witnessing the past of blood and tears, smoke and fire, and the future that no one knows.Who will remember, this piece of land and buried many bones of the dead, blood soaked the ruins. As the Pyramid of Egypt, the Colosseum in ancient Rome. They are the civilizations of the world and the misfortune of the people. With the life of a brilliant fortification, too extravagant, no one dare not profane. Now, the scroll of history has been turned over, and the the Great Wall is no longer a sacred mission. Quiet creeping in the earths corner, ice cream was exposed to wind and rain, silent, silent forever. Day after day, thousands of tourists in the body had clear footsteps will last esteem its destruction. It turns out that the value of it now is only for people to watch.I stood on the the Great Wall, as far as the look to the distant place. See that year, Su Wu shepherd, lady Zhaojun, Gen Gi Khan from the north of the conquest of the Eurasian continent. There is no doubt that the Great Walls history and rich years relic of the situation, it is the essence of pride, it is sad. Xiao Xiao, who is crying in a low voice, and who is crying. 介绍北京的英语作文「优秀篇」优秀10篇北京导游词英语介绍篇一Hello, everyone. Have you ever been to Beijing? What's the weather like in Beijing?Beijing's cold weather is not to see the sun outside, what to see? Look at the wind! As long as the wind blows, the weather will be relatively cold. What's the wind blowing in winter? What's the wind blowing in summer? The primary school teacher said that southeast wind blows in summer and northwest wind blows in winter. Please remember. A student stood up and said: No, my mother said that she married my father and drank all year roundYou choose to come to Beijing at the end of October. Generally speaking, the time is very good. It's neither cold nor hot. It's an ideal tourist season in Beijing. As the saying goes: in good travel time, meeting a good guide is a kind of happiness; in good travel time, meeting a poor guide is a kind of sadness. It's a sigh to meet a good tour guide in a bad travel time; it's a kind of helplessness to meet a poor tour guide in a bad travel time. I hope we have a good time to travel, and I hope I am a good guide.I'd like to introduce myself. My family name is Li and my name is Tianyun. After you met me, I wish you good luck every day. Li is Muzi Li. You can call me director Li, but don't call me director Li. You can also call me Xiao Li, but don't add Zi. Xiao Li is Li Lianying, the eunuch next to Empress Dowager Cixi. Eunuch is an incomplete man. Besides being thin, the function of other parts of his body is quite normal. I was born on December 26. What's the special significance of this day? My mother's birthday is also on this day, and my emperor Taizu's birthday is also on December 26. My emperor Taizu is Chairman Mao Zedong. I want to have the same birthday as a great man. I can't be worse in my life. But after living for more than 20 years, I found that I'm not tall, not short, not fat, not thin, not old, not tender, and so on So far, no miracle has happened to me, but it doesn't matter. As the saying goes, height is not the distance, weight is not the pressure, age is not the problem, so I still have to confidently take everyone's activities in Beijing these days.In addition to taking you on a tour, we also have a master in charge of our transportation. Our master has more than ten years of driving experience. He usually receives deputies to the National People's Congress, and receives VIP guests and athletes during the Olympic Games. There has been no accident for more than ten years. He is very professional and safe. During our time in Beijing, we have master _ _ driving for us. We have to work hard for him in the next few days. Let's give him some applause first!Although the roads in Beijing are very broad now, Beijing, as the capital, has many people and cars, and the traffic condition is not very good most of the time. During our travel time, there may be traffic jams or people waiting for the bus. I hope you can understand.People live on food. When they come to Beijing, the first thing they should pay attention to is eating. When they come out, they won't be as comfortable as they are at home. Especially when they join a tour group, they should be prepared: the tour group meal in Beijing is very bad. What is despair? Despair is two dishes served in a restaurant, Eat the first one: “is there anything worse in the world?” eat the second one “Kao! It's really there!” although the group meal is bad, it's still quite hygienic. You can rest assured to eat it. The principle is to have enough food, eight dishes and one soup, and all the rice. When you see that the food is not enough, drink the soup quickly. If we don't have enough to eat, we can see the mountains far away and have a pot ofsteamed bread. If you come back to China for tourism in the future, if the number of people is small, you should try not to arrange group meals by travel agencies. You'd better have what you want (for Hong Kong and overseas Chinese).Next is the accommodation. Beijing is the capital, the political and cultural center. People come and go very frequently, so hotels of the same level in Beijing are not as good as those in other places. Then it gives a brief introduction of the hotel (such as stars, how far to the airport, how far to the railway station, how far to Tiananmen Square). In the evening, when we go back to the hotel, we should pay attention to rest. When we go shopping, we are not familiar with the place, so we should not go too far. The three things you must do when you come to Beijing are climbing the Great Wall, eating roast duck and watching acrobatics. I think we have arranged to climb the great wall and eat roast duck in our itinerary, but we haven't arranged to watch acrobatics. I'm very sorry. About in the Neolithic age, Chinese acrobatics had sprouted. So acrobatics has a history of more than years in China. Diving, rings and other sports in our Olympic Games are all evolved from acrobatics. Trampoline, which was officially an Olympic event in 2000, is also evolved from acrobatics. China's trampoline won two Olympic gold medals in Beijing Olympic Games. Chinese people can be proud to announce to the world that we can't do football, we can't do track and field, we can't do swimming pool, but we can't do it in bed! Chaoyang theater is the only designated theater for external performance in Beijing. During the Olympic Games, all foreign leaders came to China to watch acrobatic performances. Modern acrobatics combined with sound, color, light and other advanced elements are more gorgeous and exciting than traditional acrobatics. It really reflects the brilliance of one minute on stage and ten years off stage. Almost all the performances have won awards in the international arena, so we are visiting Beijing During this period, acrobatics is absolutely not to be missed if you have time in the evening. If you don't go, you will be sorry, but you will be shocked. The most important thing to come to Beijing is to visit. Apart from climbing the Great Wall, eating roast duck and watching acrobatics, what else can we play? Generally speaking, we can enter Guangzhou to watch cars, fly to Guilin to watch mountains, go to Xi'an to watch tombs, visit Beijing to watch walls, pass Tianjin to watch docks, visit Qinghai to watch the source, visit Tibet to watch Buddha's head, visit Nanjing to watch stones, visit Shanghai to watch people's heads drunk, visit Shanghai to watch people's heads; Unforgettable Hangzhou girl. What you see in Beijing is the top of the wall, that is, the most important thing is the history and culture left over from the ancient capital. If you join this tour group and meet guide Xiao Li, you are in a Beijing history and culture crash course, so you should listen to me carefully. Can't get on the car to sleep, get off the car to pee, take photos of scenic spots, go home and ask nothing. Especially when there are many tourists in Beijing, adults look at their heads and children look at their buttocks, so we should play with me, hold the hand of the guide, and travel together in Beijing!Beijing is the capital of Liao, Jin, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the last five feudal dynasties in Chinese history. Its design and planning embodies the highest achievement of ancient Chinese urban planning, and is known as “the greatest individual project of human beings on the surface of the earth”。

介绍北京的英语作文篇1People native to urban Beijing speak the Beijing dialect, which belongs to the Mandarin subdivision of spoken Chinese. Beijing dialect is the basis for Standard Mandarin, the language used in the People's Republic of China, the Republic of China on Taiwan, and Singapore. Rural areas of Beijing Municipality have their own dialects akin to those of Hebei province, which surrounds Beijing Municipality.Beijing Opera, or Peking Opera (Jingju), is well-known throughout the national capital. Commonly lauded as one of the highest achievements of Chinese culture, Beijing Opera is performed through a combination of song, spoken dialogue, and codified action sequences, such as gestures, movement, fighting and acrobatics. Much of Beijing Opera is carried out in an archaic stage dialect quite different from modern Standard Mandarin and from the Beijing dialect; this makes the dialogue somewhat hard to understand, and the problem is compounded if one is not familiar with Chinese. As a result, modern theaters often have electronic titles in Chinese and English.A hutong in eastern Beijing near Dongsishitiao. In this March 2003 photo the left side was still standing, but it has since given way to new construction. The Siheyuan is a traditional architectural style of Beijing. A siheyuan consists of a squarehousing compound, with rooms enclosing a central courtyard. This courtyard often contains a pomegranate or other type of tree, as well as potted flowers or a fish tank. Siheyuans line Hutongs , or alleys, which connect the interior of Beijing's old city. They are usually straight and run east-to-west so that doorways can face north and south for Feng Shui reasons. They vary in width — some are very narrow, enough for only a few pedestrians to pass through at a time.Once ubiquitous in Beijing, siheyuans and hutongs are now rapidly disappearing, as entire city blocks of hutongs are leveled and replaced with high-rise buildings. Residents of the hutongs are entitled to apartments in the new buildings of at least the same size as their former residences. Many complain, however, that the traditional sense of community and street life of the hutongs cannot be replaced. Some particularly historic or picturesque hutongs are being preserved and restored by the government, especially for the 2008 Olympics. One such example can be seen at Nanchizi.Mandarin cuisine is the local style of cooking in Beijing. Peking Roast Duck is perhaps the most well-known dish. The Manhan Quanxi ("Manchu-Han Chinese full banquet") is a traditional banquet originally intended for the ethnic-Manchu emperors of the Qing Dynasty; it remains very prestigious and expensive.Teahouses are also common in Beijing. Chinese tea comes in many varieties and some rather expensive types of Chinese tea are said to cure an ailing body extraordinarily well. The Jingtailan is a cloisonné metalworking technique and tradition originating from Beijing, and one of the most revered traditional crafts in China. Beijing lacquerware is well known forthe patterns and images carved into its surface. The Fuling Jiabing is a traditional Beijing snack food, a pancake (bing) resembling a flat disk with filling, made from fu ling (Poria cocos (Schw.) Wolf, or "tuckahoe"), an ingredient common in traditional Chinese medicine.介绍北京的英语作文篇2As the capital of the People‘s Republic of China, Beijing is the nation‘s political, economic, cultural and educational center as well as being the most important center in China for international trade and communications. After more than 20xx years of construction, it is the longest artificial building in the world and one of the seven wonders of the world.Dont look at the the Great Wall is so majestic, but you have not thought about that time in the Qin Shihuang unified, it is difficult to build the Great Wall no longer difficult, at that time, no train, no car, no crane, we as can be imagined: "the Great Wall was built?" With countless shoulders and countless hands, it was very difficult to carry the steep mountains step by step. Such an ambitious project is a great miracle in the history of the world.介绍北京的英语作文篇2In the open season of lotus flowers, the weather in Beijing is very hot, the hot sun is on the head, but we are going to visit the capital for sightseeing, regardless of the heat, my mother took me to the Great Wall.We went to the Great Wall and went to the Great Wall by car. Wow! What a Great Wall it is! It looks like a giant dragon lying on the mountain, rise and fall, high and high! Just put the back of your head on your back and you cant see the top.We follow the narrow stairs to climb up a fire station, and walked out the door, came to the wall, then grabbed the rail uphill climb, on the steps, one at a time, had a a beacon tower, only to half on the Great Wall, I was too tired to sweat, panting, like a frustrated the ball, a butt sitting on the ground couldnt climb up, "Xuan Xuan, the path of your feet are workers built with sweat, must climb up." "Remember the phrase" not to the Great Wall "? "Mother said twice. I immediately increased by one hundred times the effort, quickly ran on the top of the Great Wall, in the last paragraph, the steep stone ladder faster has touched the nose, heated, heart rate, asthma, after the final struggle, I finally climbed the Great Wall.At this time, I saw all Beijing reflected in my eye curtain, really "want to be poor thousands of thousands of eyes, more upstairs", I deeply realized the true meaning of these two lines of poetry. 介绍北京的英语作文篇3I’d like to go to a beautiful place. The city covers a massive area, with dazzling skyscrapers towering over ancient temples and hutongs (traditional alleyways). Wherever you go, there's always something interesting to see.Speaking of ancient sites, Beijing has some of the coolest old buildings and monuments in the world. The Forbidden City is probably the most famous. This gigantic palace complex was home to 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. With 9,999 rooms, it's like a maze of gardens, courtyards, andelaborate halls decked out in yellow glazed tiles. I felt like a modern-day explorer wandering through its corridors! Then there's the Temple of Heaven, a stunning religious building where emperors used to pray for good harvests. The intricate wooden architecture is breathtaking. My favorite part was the Echo Wall – you can stand in one corner and hear people whispering at the opposite end, almost 200 feet away! So fun and mysterious. For an amazing view, you can't beat the Great Wall of China. While the famous section at Badaling gets packed with tourists, I preferred the quieter Mutianyu section. Hiking along the ancient stone pathways winding over the mountainous landscape made me feel like a brave warrior protecting the empire. The scenery is just unbelievable! For fancier fare, I loved the dishes we had at vintage restaurants like Quanjude and Bianyifang. Watching the dumpling makers deftly pleating the little pouches was like a ballet. And the first bite of those juicy soup dumplings? Heaven! My family and I probably gained 10 pounds on this trip, but it was so worth it.When you need a break from all that eating, Beijing has awesome parks and lakes to explore. Families flock to places like Ghost Street to snack on candied fruit and watch Chinese opera performers in elaborate costumes and masks.Watching the dazzling laser light shows at places like The Place was pure magic! The kids' parks and carnival games combined Chinese tradition with pure fun. I'll never forget the thrill of riding on the Dragon Roller Coaster as it whipped around towering pagodas and temples.Even getting around Beijing was an adventure in itself. Taking the ultra-modern subway to zip across town was quick and easy, but I loved riding in the iconic black gas-powered pedicabs that still traverse the old hutongs. Our pedicab driver regaled us with stories about growing up in the narrow alleyways while expertly maneuvering through the crowds.Between the jaw-dropping historic sites, delectable cuisine, lively cultural experiences, and friendly locals, Beijing has captured my heart. With a history going back over3,000 years, Beijing has so many incredible sights and experiences to offer.First, let me tell you about some of the famous landmarks and attractions. The Forbidden City is a huge palace complex right in the heart of Beijing. It was the home of 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. With over 9,000 rooms, it's like a city within a city! The architecture is stunning, with yellow glazed tile roofs, red walls, and elaborately carved wooden pillars and beams. I felt like I had stepped back in time as I wandered through the many courtyards and halls.Another must-see is the Great Wall of China. Parts of the wall go right through the mountains near Beijing. I climbed up at Badaling and the view was breathtaking! The wall snakes along the ridges as far as the eye can see. It's hard to believe it was built so long ago, with just human labor. Our guide told us it took over 2,000 years to build the current wall, starting way back in the 3rd century BC during the Qin Dynasty. Standing on that ancient stone, I felt so small but proud to be Chinese.Speaking of pride, Tiananmen Square is another iconic Beijing landmark. It's one of the largest public squares in the world, big enough to fit over 1 million people! The square is surrounded by important buildings like the Gate of HeavenlyPeace, the National Museum of China, and the Great Hall of the People. I'll never forget the sight of those huge portrayed faces looking down from the Tiananmen Gate. So powerful!Beijing has some of the most amazing temples I've ever seen too. The Temple of Heaven is a magnificent complex of religious buildings where emperors would come to pray for good harvests. The iconic round temple with its triple-eaved blue-tiled roof is the real showstopper though. It has the most intricate designs and details up close. My favorite was the painted nine dragon carvings decorating the interior. Then there's the Lama Temple, one of the national treasures of Beijing. It's a working Buddhist monastery that dates back to 1694. The main hall has an enormous Buddha statue that is 60 feet tall! The statue is made of just one piece of sandalwood that was carved by artists over a period of 3 years. I've never seen anything so massive but also so finely detailed.Apart from the famous sites, Beijing also has incredible food, shopping, and culture to experience. I loved trying all the delicious street foods like jianbing (crispy crepe wraps), tanghulu (candied fruit kebabs), and jiaozi (dumplings). The smells wafting from the food stalls were out of this world! And haggling for bargains at places like the Hongqiao Pearl Market was super fun.One of the coolest experiences was attending a laonian Chinese acrobat show. Those performers are just mind-blowing with their balance, strength, and flexibility tricks. At one point, a lady was spinning dozens of plates on skinny poles, while another acrobat stacked chairs all the way up to the ceiling and climbed them with just her hands and feet! I'll never know how they train to do stuff like that. The colorful costumes and lively music made it such an entertaining show.I could keep going on and on about why Beijing is so amazing. From the rich history and iconic landmarks, to the mouthwatering cuisine and incredible performances, this city has it all. I feel so fortunate to have visited the capital and experienced its vibrant culture firsthand. Beijing is a place every kid should get to see at least once! I'm already dreaming of my next trip back.篇3Beijing, the Capital of ChinaBeijing is the capital city of China and one of the most amazing places I've ever been to! It's a huge metropolis with a rich history going back thousands of years. Let me tell you all about this fascinating city.First off, Beijing is gigantic! It has over 21 million people living there, making it one of the most populous cities in the world. The city center is full of tall skyscrapers and modern buildings. But Beijing also has lots of older neighborhoods called hutongs, which are mazes of small alleys and traditional courtyard houses. I love exploring the hutongs and imagining what life was like there hundreds of years ago.Speaking of history, Beijing has some incredible historical sites that everyone should see. The most famous is probably the Forbidden City, the giant palace complex where emperors lived during imperial times. With nearly 10,000 rooms, it's like a city within a city! I was in awe walking through its grand halls and gardens.Another must-see is the Great Wall of China. Parts of this massive wall stretch through the hills near Beijing. It was built over 2,000 years ago to protect China from invaders. Climbing along the ancient stone pathways was tough but so much fun! The views from up there are breathtaking.Beijing is also home to the giant Tiananmen Square. It's one of the biggest public squares in the world and the site of many important events in Chinese history. There are cool monumentsand buildings all around it. My dad told me Tiananmen Square can fit nearly a million people! The food in Beijing is out of this world! You have to try the famous Beijing roast duck. It's a whole crispy duck that the chefs carve up right in front of you. Then there are dumplings, noodles, wontons...I'm getting hungry just thinking about it all. Chinese cuisine from the capital is simply delicious. For fun, you can explore ancient temples like the Temple of Heaven, where emperors used to perform rituals. Or check out modern attractions like the Beijing National Stadium, which kinda looks like a giant bird's nest! There are also awesome parks and museums all over the city.Overall, Beijing combines the modern and the ancient in one thrilling place. As the capital of the rising superpower of China, it mixes tradition with progress and culture with innovation. Beijing is a fast-paced but amazing world capital that I feel lucky to have visited. I can't wait to go back some day!篇4Beijing, the Capital of ChinaWow, Beijing is such an amazing city! It's the capital of my country, China, and it's one of the most exciting places I've ever been to. Let me tell you all about it!First of all, Beijing is huge! It's like a giant playground with so many things to see and do. The city is divided into different districts, and each one has its own unique character. In the city center, you'll find the famous Forbidden City, which used to be the imperial palace for Chinese emperors. It's a massive complex with lots of beautiful buildings, gardens, and museums. I remember being in awe the first time I saw it!Another iconic landmark in Beijing is the Great Wall of China. It's one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and it's simply incredible! The Great Wall winds through the mountains for thousands of miles, and you can actually walk on some parts of it. Climbing up the steep steps is a bit tiring, but the views from the top are breathtaking. You can see the wall stretching out as far as the eye can see, like a giant dragon slithering across the landscape.Beijing is also home to some amazing parks and gardens. My favorite is the Summer Palace, which is a massive park with beautiful lakes, gardens, and ancient buildings. It's a great place to relax and enjoy nature right in the heart of the city. Anothercool park is the Beijing Zoo, where you can see giant pandas and other amazing animals from all over the world.Speaking of animals, did you know that Beijing is famous for its delicious Peking Duck? It's a special kind of roasted duck that's crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. You wrap it in a thin pancake with some vegetables and plum sauce, and it's absolutely delicious! There are so many great restaurants in Beijing where you can try all kinds of tasty Chinese dishes. But what I love most about Beijing is its rich history and culture. Everywhere you go, you can see ancient temples, traditional neighborhoods, and people practicing age-old customs and traditions. It's like stepping back in time while also experiencing the excitement of a modern metropolis.Overall, Beijing is a city that has something for everyone. Whether you're interested in history, nature, food, or just having fun, you'll find plenty to keep you entertained. I feel so lucky to live in such an amazing place, and I hope you'll get a chance to visit Beijing someday too!篇5Beijing, the Capital of ChinaBeijing is the capital city of China, and it's one of the most amazing places I've ever been! It's a huge city with tons of people, incredible historical sites, and lots of fun things to see and do.Beijing has been an important city in China for over 3,000 years. It used to be called Peking, but the name was changed to Beijing in the 1900s. Beijing literally means "Northern Capital" because it's located in the northern part of China. With over 21 million people living there, it's one of the largest cities in the world! One of the coolest things about Beijing is all the incredible historical sites and landmarks. The Forbidden City is a massive palace complex right in the center of Beijing. It used to be the home of Chinese emperors and their families and servants. You could fit over 9,000 rooms inside the Forbidden City walls! Another famous landmark is the Temple of Heaven, a beautiful temple where emperors would make sacrifices and pray for good harvests. My favorite historical site is probably the Summer Palace. It's this stunning palace and garden area on the edge of Beijing built for emperors to escape the summer heat. You can spend hours just wandering around the palaces, gardens, lakes, and bridges.Beijing has tons of other cool things too. Tiananmen Square is this enormous public square right in the center of the city. It's so big that over a million people could fit inside! The square has monuments, museums, and the Amazing Gate that leads into the Forbidden City. There are also so many delicious restaurants, lively markets, beautiful parks, and fun neighborhoods to explore in Beijing. One thing that really struck me about Beijing was just how modern and bustling the city is, despite its deep history and ancient monuments. The skyline is filled with sleek skyscrapers and modern architecture mixed in right alongside historic temples and hutong alleyways. Beijing has an amazing subway system that zips you all across the huge city. Technology and modern life blend seamlessly with Beijing's rich cultural traditions. While Beijing can be crowded and hectic at times, I loved experiencing the sights, sounds, and energy of this vibrant city. Getting to walk in places where emperors once strolled and see landmarks that have stood for centuries was surreal. Beijing is an unforgettable place where the modern merges with the ancient in one thrilling, world-class city. I'll definitely be back to explore more of this amazing capital!篇6Beijing, the Capital City of ChinaBeijing is the amazing capital city of China and one of the most historic places in the whole world! It has been around for over 3,000 years and used to be called Peking. Beijing is gigantic, with over 21 million people living there. That's way more people than the entire country of Australia!Beijing is located in northern China, surrounded by mountains on three sides. The city sits on a plain and doesn't have much rain or snow. It can get really hot in the summer, but also freezing cold in the winter. In the olden days, Beijing was the capital for many powerful dynasties that ruled China like the Ming and Qing dynasties. Today, it's still the capital and center of politics for the whole country. There are so many incredible historic sites to see in Beijing. One of the most famous is the Forbidden City. It used to be the imperial palace where China's emperors lived with their families and ruled the country. It's called the Forbidden City because regular people weren't allowed to go inside for a long time. The Forbidden City is absolutely massive, with 9,999 rooms! It would take you forever to explore them all. Every door, wall, and roof ispainted gorgeous shades of red, yellow, green, and blue. It looks like something straight out of a storybook.Another world-famous site in Beijing is the Great Wall of China. Parts of it were first built over 2,000 years ago to help protect ancient Chinese states and empires from invaders. It stretches an incredible 13,000 miles across northern China! That's basically like a road going from New York to Los Angeles and back around 4 times. People say you can even see the Great Wall from space. Hiking along this colossal man-made wonder is an amazing experience. You get stunning views of the mountains and valleys. But be warned, there are a ton of crazy steep steps!Beijing has tons of beautiful parks and gardens too that are perfect for a relaxing stroll. The Summer Palace used to be where emperors and their families would go to beat the sweltering summer heat. It has the most breathtaking landscaped gardens with colorful flowers, lakes, bridges, and pavilions. You can even take a boat ride across Kunming Lake there. The Temple of Heaven is another serene park where emperors would pray for good harvests. Its signature attraction is the magnificent round temple built without any nails holding it together. Pretty amazing architecture for something built hundreds of years ago!Of course no introduction to Beijing would be complete without mentioning its most iconic food - Peking duck. This mouthwatering dish is made from a whole crispy duck cooked until its skin is a perfect shiny reddish-brown. The cooked duck is sliced up right in front of you. Then you wrap up the meat and crispy skin in a thin pancake with special sauce and vegetables like cucumber and scallions. It's an explosion of flavors in every bite. I tried Peking duck on a trip to Beijing with my parents and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted!Beijing has so many other yummy food specialties too like jiaozi (dumplings), zhajiangmian (noodles with a savory bean sauce), and shuan'rou (twice-cooked pork belly). The city is famous for its incredible street food as well, with vendors selling things like tanghulu (candied fruit on a skewer), jianbing (crispy crepes), and aiyu jiling (fried bamboo).Getting around the sprawling city of Beijing is an adventure in itself. Traffic there is absolutely insane, with cars, buses, motorcycles, and bicycles going every which way. The roads seem like a giant chaotic maze. That's why tons of people get around using the metro system instead. With over 350 miles of tracks, it's one of the busiest subway systems in the whole world. But even with all the crowds, it's still faster than dealing with Beijing's legendary traffic jams.Although Beijing is famous for its long history, it's also a cutting-edge modern city in many ways. The 2008 Summer Olympics were hosted in Beijing, with the iconic Bird's Nest and Water Cube stadiums built especially for the games. Beijing put on an unbelievable opening ceremony showing its pride and spirit. The city also has a direct train line to Shanghai using bullet trains that can reach speeds of over 200 mph! It has massive contemporary office buildings and apartments popping up everywhere to meet the demand of its rapidly growing population. There are just so many amazing things to see and do in Beijing. From historic palaces and temples to scrumptious street food and dazzling contemporary architecture, this city truly has it all. I feel so lucky to have visited Beijing and experienced its wonders first-hand. It's a bustling modern metropolis that still overflows with rich history and culture at every turn. Beijing really is one of the most captivating and dynamic cities on the entire planet!。

You are asked to describe the picture and explain how you understand it.What an interesting picture! A western young man, sitting at a table, is ready to eat a bowl of noodles. He is holding two forks the same way as we Chinese hold chopsticks. He is trying so hard to pick up the noodles that he is sweating a lot. At first glance, I think it’s a bit funny, for we Chinese take for granted that chopsticks are the tools for eating noodles. The man in the picture is trying to copy us. Obviously he is doing it the hard way.Maybe using one fork will do a better job, In my opinion, we don’t need to copy others’ ways of thinking. Sometimes a simpler way of doing things may be a better way.介绍北京的英语作文篇11This summer holiday, I visited toBeijingwith my aunt.
