How did the woman get help?When a light passenger plane flew off course some time ago, it crashed in the mountains and its pilot was killed. The only passengers, a young woman and her two baby daughters, were unhurt. It was the middle of winter. Snow lay thick on the ground. The woman knew that the nearest village was miles away. When it grew dark, she turned a suitcase into a bed and put the children inside it, covering them with all the clothes she could find. During the night, it got terribly cold. The woman kept as near as she could to the children and even tried to get into the case herself, but it was too small. Early next morning, she heard planes passing overhead and wondered how she could send a signal. Then she had an idea. She stamped out the letters 'SOS' in the snow. Fortunately, a pilot saw the signal and sent a message by radio to the nearest town. 新概念英语第1册第75-76课重点语法第75-76课的内容：一、重要句型或语法1、一般过去时表示过去发生的而现在已经结束的动作或状态。
本课主要学习的是表过去的时间状语，主要有：1)由ago引导的，如five days ago;2)由last引导的，如last week;3)由before last引导的，如the month before last。
2、一般过去时与一般现在时的区别注意区分句子中的时间状语即可，如：We had some shoes like those a month ago, but we don't have any now. 这句话的前半句中的时间状语是a month ago，是典型的过去时间，所以动词have要用过去式形式had;后半句中的时间状语是now，所以动词要一般现在时形式。
二、课文主要语言点Do you have any shoes like these? 1)可复习一下have表示有的用法，从肯定句、否定句、一般疑问句和划线部分提问角度实行操练。
注意否定句和疑问句中some要改为any。
2)注意like these，表示像这样的。
like后面如果是单数，则用like this;如果是远指，就用like that/those。
What size? Size five. size用来表示鞋子的号码大小。
在此能够对比中国码和国际码的区别。
比如美国人说的5号女鞋，一般是指中国的35码的女鞋。
What colour? Black. 口语中一般都采用最简形式的问答。
注意colour的拼写，美式英语的拼写形式为colour，一般-our音节在美语里经常被拼作-or。
We don't have any. any后面省略了shoes。
可在此提示学生英式英语的表达能够是：We haven't any.But my sister bought this pair last month. 句中用了last month，所以动词要用过去式。
