Should Smoking In Public Places Be Banned? We can see such signs as “No Smoking” in some public places, which is a kind of measure taken to ban smoking in public places. However, concerning about this measures, different people hold divergent opinions. The smokers protest against that it is a kind of action to deprive of their free right, while the non-smokers are in favor of banning smoking in public places. In my opinion, I am inclined to support the latter one—smoking should be banned in public places. There are reasons accounting for my point. For one thing, people will be harmed by the second-hand smoking if someone smokes in public places, especially the infants and children. For another, banning smoking in public places is also beneficial to the smokers. If they are banned to smoke in public places, they will restrain themselves from smoking and smoke less.In the meantime, it is a contribution to reduce the air pollution. Therefore, I advocate that smoking in public places should be banned so that we can breathe the fresh air and suffer less from the second-hand smoking.Let’s work together to create and sustain out green and fresh environment.【参考译文】公共场所禁烟在一些公共场所我们可以看到像“禁止吸烟”这一类的标志,这都是在公共场所禁烟的`.

As a non-smoker, I strongly advocate for the ban on public smoking. Here are my reasons:Firstly, smoking is harmful to not only smokers themselves but also non-smokers who inhale second-hand smoke. Second-hand smoke is a leading cause of lung cancer, heart disease, and respiratory problems. Therefore, it is unfair for non-smokers to be exposed to such health risks without their consent.Secondly, smoking in public places creates an unpleasant environment for everyone. The smell of smoke is unpleasant and can trigger allergies and asthma attacks. It also leaves behind cigarette butts and ash, which are unsightly and harmful to the environment.Lastly, smoking is a bad habit that should not beencouraged. By banning public smoking, we can send a message to smokers that their habit is not socially acceptable and encourage them to quit.In conclusion, I believe that banning public smoking is necessary for the health and well-being of everyone. It is time for us to take a stand against smoking and create a smoke-free environment for all.

As a non-smoker, I strongly believe that smoking should be banned in public places. This is not only for the health of non-smokers but also for the smokers themselves. Second-hand smoke is just as harmful as smoking itself, and it is unfair to expose non-smokers to these harmful toxins.Furthermore, smoking in public places sets a bad example for children and teenagers. They may see smoking as a normal and acceptable behavior, which could lead to them picking up the habit themselves. It is important to create a smoke-free environment to protect the future generations. In addition, smoking in public places can also cause litter and fire hazards. Cigarette butts are the most commonly littered item in the world, and they can take years to decompose. Moreover, smoking in areas with flammable materials can easily lead to fires.Overall, banning public smoking is a necessary step to protect the health of non-smokers, smokers, and the environment. It is important to create a culture that promotes healthy habits and discourages harmful ones.

Smoking in public places has been a contentious issue for many years, with both proponents and opponents offering their arguments. On one hand, opponents of smoking bans argue that they infringe on personal freedom and choice, while proponents emphasize the health risks associated with secondhand smoke and the importance of protecting nonsmokers. Those who oppose smoking bans often contend that individuals should be free to make their own decisions about whether or not to smoke. They argue that government intervention in this area is an infringement on personal liberty and that adults should be allowed to engage in activities that they enjoy, even if they pose some health risks. Additionally, opponents claim that smoking bans unfairly target smokers and disproportionately affect members of certain socioeconomic groups.Proponents of smoking bans, on the other hand, prioritize the health risks associated with secondhand smoke. They argue that exposure to secondhand smoke hasbeen linked to a range of health problems, including lung cancer, heart disease, and respiratory illnesses. They emphasize that nonsmokers have a right to breathe clean air and that smoking bans are necessary to protect their health. Additionally, proponents point to the economic benefits of smoking bans, such as reduced healthcare costs andincreased productivity. The debate over smoking bans is likely to continue for the foreseeable future, as there are strong arguments on both sides of the issue. Ultimately, the decision ofwhether or not to implement a smoking ban in a particular public space is a complex one that must weigh theindividual rights of smokers against the health and well-being of nonsmokers.

In the realm of public spaces, the once ubiquitous presence of cigarette smoke has gradually faded into oblivion, replaced by a collective commitment to preserving the well-being of all. The fragrant aroma of freshly cut grass, the sweet scent of blooming flowers, and the crisp tang of the ocean breeze now reign supreme, unadulterated by the acrid stench of tobacco. My journey towards embracing smoke-free public spaces began with a personal realization. As a non-smoker, I found myself navigating through clouds of secondhand smoke, my lungs burning and my eyes watering. The discomfort I experienced ignited a spark of empathy within me, compelling me to advocate for the rights of all individuals to breathe clean air.Public health concerns played a pivotal role in myunwavering support for smoke-free policies. Studies have unequivocally demonstrated the detrimental effects of secondhand smoke on human health. Children, pregnant women, and individuals with respiratory conditions are particularly vulnerable to the harmful toxins emitted by cigarettes. By eliminating smoking in public spaces, we create a healthier environment for everyone.Furthermore, the aesthetic appeal of smoke-free public spaces cannot be overstated. Gone are the days when parks, beaches, and sidewalks were littered with unsightly cigarette butts. The removal of smoking has transformed these spaces into inviting oases where families can gather, friends can socialize, and individuals can simply enjoy the outdoors without being subjected to an unpleasant sensory assault. While some may argue that smoke-free policies infringe upon personal freedoms, I believe that the protection of public health and the well-being of our communities far outweigh individual preferences. The implementation ofsmoke-free laws has not only improved the health of our citizens but has also contributed to a more aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable public environment. In the grand scheme of things, the elimination of smoking in public spaces is a testament to our collective responsibility to create a healthier, more vibrant, and more inclusive society. It is a tangible representation of our commitment to putting the well-being of the community above individual liberties. As we look towards the future, I am confident that smoke-free public spaces will continue to be the norm, ensuring that the generations to come can breathe easy and enjoy the pristine beauty of our shared surroundings.

Smoking in public places should be banned. It's notfair for non-smokers to have to breathe in secondhand smoke when they're out in public. It's also a health risk for everyone, not just the smokers.I mean, I get that people have the right to smoke if they want to, but that doesn't mean they should be allowed to do it wherever they please. It's just common courtesy to think about how your actions might affect others.Plus, think about the litter! Cigarette butts are everywhere, and they're not biodegradable. It's just gross to see them all over the sidewalks and streets. And what about the kids? They shouldn't have to be exposed to that kind of environment when they're out in public. It's not setting a good example for them, and it's not healthy for them to be breathing in all that smoke.I don't know, maybe I'm being too harsh, but I really think that banning public smoking is the right thing to do. It's not about taking away people's rights, it's about creating a healthier and more considerate environment for everyone.。

In some countries people are no longer allowed to smoke in many public places and office buildings. Do you think this is a good rule or a bad rule? Use specific reasons and details to support your position. Not allowing smoking in public places and office building is a very good rule. I believe this for several reasons .Not only will banning smoking improve people’s health, it will also increase worker productivity and reduce conflicts.we all know smoking is not healthy. Unfortunately, when smokers are able to smoke in public buildings, they can make other people sick . They may work with people who are allergic to smoking, for examples. In that case , the non-smokers have no choice unless they want to quit their jobs. They can only get sicker , which is unfair .Of course , banning smoking in public buildings and offices will please non-smokers. It will also improve the smokers’health. They will have fewer opportunities to smoke, so they will smoke fewer cigarettes.Banning smoking in office buildings can also increase worker productivity. Smokers won’t interrupt their work all the time to smoke. There will also be fewer worker absences. When smokers cut down the number of cigarettes, they will get fewer smoking related illnesses. Finally, it is a good idea to ban smoking in public places and office buildings because a ban can reduce conflicts. Non-smokers tend to get annoyed and jealous because smokers have an excuse to take frequent breaks .The most significant conflict, however, is over whether smokers have a right to smoke in public . As we have already seen, non-smokers feel they are not always given a choice. If smoking in public is allowed , they will be forced to breathe harmful air. This may violate their rights, and non-smokers are angry with smokers because of it.It seems clear that banning smoking n public places and office buildings is a good idea. It will reduce conflict and increase productivity. It will also benefit health of smokers and non-smokers alike. I believe that just about anything that improve our health is a good idea!。

(No Smoking in All Public Places)
Some businesses now say that ao one call smoke cigarettes in any of their offices. Some governments have banned smoking in all public places. This is a good idea though it takes away some of our freedom.
As we know, smoking is harmful not only to our health but also to the environment. Smoking can lead to many diseases, such as lung cancer. Smoking affects non smokers more than it does smokers. Ratio of passive smokers getting ill is higher than that of smokers. So, many nonsmokers are against smoking.
In public places, the harm of smoking is greater. This is connected with another effect of smoking. That is, smoking pollutes environment by giving much poisonous vapor off into the air.
Therefore, that the government ban smoking is very necessary and important to us. It is a measure to protect our health and environment. So many people, especially nonsmokers are for the policy.
Some people say that it takes away some of our freedom. I think it is a one-sided view. If one wants to smoke, he may smoke in private, not in the public places. In fact, smokers still have the freedom of smoking.
But, I think, smokers had better give up smoking, not only in
private places, but also in the public places, everywhere. It will be beneficial to ail of us.
