这里没有电，没有自来水，风沙来时遮天蔽日，蔬菜水果算是奢侈品。
敦煌的生活环境让一直在大城市生活的樊锦诗有些始料不及。
大学时代，樊锦诗和她的同学彭金章相恋，毕业时彭金章分到了武汉大学。
一年后，彭金章千里迢迢来到敦煌看望樊锦诗。
他发现恋人变了，变土了。
住的，吃的，哪像上海人，哪像在北京读书时青春勃发的样子。
他们曾经约定，3年就回去，可是结婚后分居20多年，千里相隔，夫妻不能团聚，母子难以相见。
一家4口，分居三地，在爱情、亲情和事业之间，樊锦诗不断经受着煎熬，可她还是选择了敦煌。
最终，她硬是把丈夫从武汉拽到了敦煌。
40多年的风雨和坎坷，樊锦诗潜心于石窟考古研究工作，先后撰写了《莫高窟北朝洞窟分期》、《莫高窟隋代洞窟分期》、《莫高窟唐代前期洞窟分期》等论文，完成了敦煌莫高窟的分期断代，揭示了各个时期洞窟发展演变的规律和时代特征。
这些学术成果不仅确定了洞窟本身的时代，而且为敦煌石窟的各项研究奠定了坚实的基础。
2000年，有人提出，为了加大旅游开发，要把莫高窟上市。
为了保护敦煌不受人为伤害，樊锦诗宁可不当敦煌研究院院长，也不同意，最终阻止了这一行为。
为了实现敦煌遗产的永久保存，永续利用，2003年，樊锦诗提出的《建设莫高窟游客服务中心的建议》被采纳并正在实施，一个全新的“数字敦煌”正向人们款款走来。

成为一名作家，并不是一件容易的事情。
需要不断地学习和积累，需要不断地思考和创作。
但是，正是这种坚持和付出，让我更加坚定了成为一名作家的决心。
我相信，只要我坚持不懈地努力，终有一天，我会成为一名优秀的作家，为人们带来更多的思想和情感的启发。
一生只做一件事，并不意味着我会把其他的事情都抛诸脑后。
相反，我会把一生的精力都投入到成为一名作家这件事情上。
我会不断地阅读，不断地思考，不断地写作。
我会去感受生活的点滴，去体验世界的美好，这些都将成为我写作的灵感和素材。
当然，一生只做一件事，并不代表我会一成不变。
我会不断地学习和进步，不断地挑战和突破自己。
我会尝试不同的写作风格和题材，让自己的作品更加丰富和多样化。
我相信，只有不断地学习和进步，才能让我成为一名更加优秀的作家。
一生只做一件事，对我来说，那就是成为一名作家。

• 如今的许多人，最好身怀十八般技艺，然后同时 挖几口井，头顶三四个职务或者身兼五六个身份。 如果可以，恨不得将自己大卸八块，分别扔进不 同专业的领地里去占个地盘，等而下之的也要卖 给不同的老板。杂乱无章，心无定所，轰轰烈烈 一场乱忙，最后往往也所获有限甚至导致身心崩 溃。在这样的时代和氛围里，格外怀念一种纯粹： 自知，自制，心无旁骛，一生只挖一口井，直到 清泉涌出，源源不断。
