Step 1：词汇

单词：serious illnesses peace. courage spirits difficulty express lonely. offer organized

短语：

(1)in need “需要”

in need of eg：I am in need of help.

She is in need of a rest.

(2)voluntary work “志愿工作”

(3)ask permission “征求许可”

with/ without permission 得到/未经许可

(4)suffer from 遭受；患…病；受…之苦

eg：Mary is suffering from toothache.

(5)raise one’s spirits使振奋、鼓起勇气

raise a family 养家糊口 raise money 筹款 raise price 提高价格

Step 2:Grammar-- Infinitives

1.Verbs+ to +infinitives

Eg:Three teenagers offered to do some voluntary work during the school.

Cindy wanter to pain a picture of the park near her home.

2.We often use to + infinitives after these verbs:

Eg: choose-chose-chosen 选择

hope-hoped-hoped 希望

offer-offered-offered 提议

want-wanted-wanted 想要

decide-decided-decided 决定

Learn-learned/learnt-learned/learnt 学习

Plan -planed-planed 计划

Wish-wished-wished 希望

Eg：We planed to visit Cindy today We want to help her.

Exercise: Ask students to make sentences.

3.We can use question words + to+infinitive after decide/know/learn/remember.

Eg: Do you know how to help disabled children?

Do you know how to remember English words?

3.We can also use verbs+objects+to+infinitives

(1) teach/ ask sb to do sth

Eg: Annie taught Tim to sing beautiful song.

(2) Use infinitives without “to”,such as” let“and “make”

Eg: Mum made me go to bed early.

一般将来时

常见有两种结构：

shall /will +do

be going to +do

本单元我们重点讲解

be going to + do和be + thinking about+ v.ing形式这两个句型。

例句：

What are you going to do on Saturday ?

I am going/planning to do some voluntary work. (sure)确定的回答

I am thinking about playing tennis. (not sure)不确定的回答
