I had to get closer. and that was where being a girl that’s skinnier than a wire fence came in handy. Fortunately, Frank, my twin of eleven years, was just the same.“Come on.” I said, grabbing his hand, and we slid through the cracks between people until we spilled out in front. Finally I got a good look. It was fixed to the plaster(石灰板) next to the postmaster's window, the place of honour usually reserved for the Wanted posters. Beady-eyed Zedekiah Smith, the bank robber, still hung there, but even he had been pushedaside for something more important.A telephone. The first one in town.“How’s it work?” Noah Crawford called out. Noah’s the best fix-it man around, and I could tell he was dying to get his fingers on those shiny buttons.“Don’t rightly know,” answer the postmaster, and he pulled h ard at his beard as if it might tell him. “I do know the sound of your voice moves along wires strung on poles. It’s sort of like the telegraph, only you hear words instead of dots and dashes.”“Ah,” the crowd whispered, and I felt my own mouth move along.I gazed at the shiny wood box and something happened inside me. Something--I can only guess--that might be like falling in love. The thought of talking into that box--of making my voice sail through wires in the sky--it took over my brain. I couldn't get it out.“Frank,” I whispered to my twin. “I have to use that telephone.”Five minutes later, Frank dragged me to Main Street, toward borne. “Liza--” he began, but I cut him off. Social responsibilities of a company can go hand in hand with profit making.(C )Since quitting can start feelings such as guilt and shame, we often do everything possible to avoid it, “We’re taught from our earliest days that if you quit something, it means you’re a failure," says the psychologist Will Meek. He, however, suggests we view quitting differently.Quitting is like decidi ng to rearrange a room: you’ve grown comfortable with the status, and it can be hard to picture the endresult or even see why change is necessary. And yet, there's the upsetting feeling that you’re no longer entirely satisfied with your current circumstan ces, perhaps even that you’ve stopped making progress. While it's not out of the question for feelings of regret to surface after a major refit, leaving a position, project or situation can reveal exciting possibilities, making you feel inspired and renewed.Quitting, often happens in situations where we're unhappy, fearful or have determined we have no other choice, factors that can have ill effects on our health. Perhaps you find your work unfulfilling, or you've jumped into a new relationship before you're ready--and, as a result, you're operating under intense pressure. “If stress is enduring and not managed well, it can start to take a toll,” says Meek. According to the American Psychological Association, long-term, ongoing stress can increase the risk for high blood pressure and heart attack so walking away from whatever is causing it can deliver significant physical and emotional health benefits. “We often see a reduction in the stress hormone cortisol(应激激素皮质醇)”, which can lower blood pressure and may even decrease the heart rate,” says Dr Alex Lickerman, a GP and expert on developing mental adaptability.Leaving situations that fail to bring you joy can leave you with sufficient time to explore where your heart is truly leading you. In a study that was published in 1999, then Harvard University professor Hermina Ibarra looked at how bankers tried different roles that required new skill sets--someone who spent a lot of time dealing with computers, for instance, was asked to take on personal interactions. Subjects(研究对象) were especially drawn to acting out a version of their future selves through‘imitation strategies’ -- an approach they compared to ‘trying on different clothes.’ Mark Franklin, the president of CareerCycles, suggests a similar approach as a way to figure out what your true desires might be in your post-quitting life and foresee your future self. “Pretend to be a certain kind of person, or go and meet others who are doing what you want to do,” he says. “Try it on, see how it feels and decide if it's a good fit for you.” It may not feel like it at the time, but just moving on froma situation that's not quite right can help you get back on track.63. It can be inferred from paragraph 2 that quitting may brim us feelings of being both ________.A. guilty and ashamedB. stupid and enthusiasticC. troubled and hopefulD. inspired and determined64. The phrase “take a toll” (paragraph 3) can be best replaced by “________”.A. developmental adaptabilityB. bring about changesC. keep up the pressureD. have a bad effect65. An approach suggested by Mark Franklin similar to ‘trying on different clothes’ is for________.A. helping people find what truly suits them in careerB. telling capable employees from inadequate onesC. training employees to acquire different working skillsD. providing people with opportunities to have a role play66. It can be concluded from the passage that________.A. quitting is a track that only the timid will choose to followB. personal interaction can be a must for reducing emotional pressureC. mental adaptability can be improved by the stress hormone cortisolD. knowing when to stop is wise and may make dreamshappenSection CDirections: Read the following passage. Fill in each blank with a proper sentence given in the box. Each sentence can be used only once. Note that there are two more sentences than you need.A. Scientists use indirect methods to discover exoplanets.B. Most exoplanets are very different from the ones in our solar system.C. As the star moves unsteadily, it changes the wavelength of the light we see.D. Astronomers have detected signals indicating the presence of a planetE. However, we have developed the technology to prove their existence only in the last few decades.F. Direct detection of the visible light from giant planets in space is becoming increasingly possible.Exoplanets(外行星): The Hunt Is OnToday scientists believe that planets could outnumber the stars. For centuries, scientists and natural philosophers have proposed that stars in the night sky have planetary systems similar to our own solar system. The existence of extrasolar planets, or exoplanets, has long been discussed. 67 Although not the first exoplanet discovery, a planet near a sun-like star was discovered by astronomers in 1995. This kicked off an cra of exoplanet hunting, with thousands of discoveries and confirmations following in its wake.68 However, in 2015 NASA’s Kepler space telescope found its first Earth-sized planet in a “habitable” zone. This is the distance from a star where surface temperatures of a planet wouldn’t be too hot or too cold for liquid water. So far, only asmall slice of our galaxy, the Millky, Way, has been explored. Even so, scientists have confirmed over 3,500 exoplanets, with more being added every day.To detect exoplanets, scientists use data from a variety of sources. Lame ground-based telescopes, earth-circling and sun-circling satellites all collect different types of information. Because exoplanets are so far away and very close to stars, it is very difficult to see them directly. 69 For example, when an exoplanet moves between its star and us, it causes a small drop in the star’s brightness. Measuring this drop is the transit(凌日)method of discovery. NASA’s Kepler space telescope has discovered many exoplanets this way.As a planet circles a star, it pulls on it and causes it to shake.70 Measuring these slight changes is the radial velocity(径向速度)method of discovering planets. It is one of the most productive methods for finding and confirming exoplanets. These are just two examples of the many methods scientists use in their hunt for exoplanets, hoping for more information and enhanced detail. As time progresses and technology improves, who knows what else we may find!IV. Summary WritingDirections: Read the following passage. Summarize the main idea and the main point(s)of the passage in no more than 60 words. Use your own words as far as possible.HopeNothing in my life had prepared me for what I had to do. Choosing my words carefully, and fighting to stay calm, I told my 4-year-old daughter that her grandmother had suffered a stroke(中风), that she was unconscious, and that the doctors said she would probably never wake up. As she moved closer to me.Ameba looked at me, eyes bright, and said, “Maybe Grandma will be okay.” “Maybe she will,” I said, keeping back the tears. But I knew better. I was tying up to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, from our Florida home in the morning to say good-bye to my mom.The rest of that awful week, I joined my brother, and father sitting by my mother’s side in the hospital room. I held her hand and talked to her. I told her that we still needed her. I told her that it wasn’t time to leave yet. I told her how much I loved her. And I told her that her little granddaughter, Amelia, believed that she’d get better. The doctors, with all their years of training and experience, offered no hope for recovery. The damage was simply too extensive. A couple of weeks later, an odd thing which she had to learn to walk, read, and write all over again, and eventually returned home to Dad. The only one who wasn’t shocked was Amelia. The doctors couldn’t explain it. Amelia didn’t need to. Hope came as naturally to her as breathing. So why are we so afraid to hope sometimes? Maybe it’s because over the years, life’s disappointments can turn us to disillusionment(理想破灭). How many times have you heard someone say: “Hope for the best, expect the worst”? that’s not really hope at all.Hope is being able to look at our world with all of the joy and wonder of a child.________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________ V. 3.

ALiving with other students can be a wonderful experience. Here are a few tips for student accommodations that can help ensure a great experience and build lifelong friendships: Screen your roommates carefully if you are given a choice. Combining the living spaces of several students into one location can be exciting and rewarding experience for the outgoing students. If you are on the shy side, or prefer a quiet group to study with, pick quieter roommates.Divide the bills evenly. Some students are far less responsible than their roommates and tend to let their part of the finance slide. Dissatisfaction is quick to build when everyone has to pay the bill for a fellow student who can’t seem to pay his/her share of the money.Carry your part of the load. Everyone has to clean the bathroom and the kitchen sometime.Don’t avoid your part of responsibility. Student accommodations can get messy and it involves everyone to keep them tidy and healthy.Think about someone else before you think about yourself. Put your roommates interests above your own. Life will be far enjoyable when everyone is concerned about the feelings property and studies of each other.Be open and honest. Hostilities (敌意) and frustrations may cause problems that can’t be fixed. Over the past couple months, most of the political headlines you’ve read have probably been about the government shutdown and the launch of the Affordable Care Act(平价医疗法案). And I know that many of you have rightly never been more frustrated with Washington. But if you look beyond those headlines, there are some good things happening in our economy. And that’s been my top prio rity(优先考虑)since the day I walked into the Oval Office. After decades in which the middle class was working harder and harder just to keep up, and apunishing recession(衰退)that made it worse, we made the tough choices required not just to recover from crisis, but to rebuild on a new foundation for stronger, more durable economic growth.Five years later, we have fought our way back. Our businesses have created 7.8 million new jobs in the past 44 months. Another 200,000 Americans went back to work last month. The American auto industry has come back with more than 350,000 new jobs –-- jobs putting out and selling the high-tech, fuel-efficient cars the world wants to buy. And they’re leading the charge in a business that has added jobs for the first time since the 1990s –-- a big reason why our businesses sell more goods and services “Made in America” than ever before. We decided to stop our addiction to foreign oil. And today, we produce more renewable energy than ever, more natural gas than anybody, and for the first time in nearly 20 years, America now produces more oil than we buy from other countries. We decided to fix a broken health care system. And even though the task has been rough, so far, about 500,000 Americans gain health coverage starting January 1st. And by the way, health care costs are growing at the slowest rate in 50 years. And one more thing: since I took office, we’ve cut our deficits (赤字) by more than half. And that makes it easier to invest in the things that create jobs –-- education, research, and so on.Imagine how much farther along we could be if both parties were working together. Think about what we could do if the few didn’t hold the economy hostage (人质) every few months, or waste time on dozens of votes to repeal the Affordable Care Act rather than try to help us fix it.In the weeks ahead, I’ll keep talking about my plan to build a better bargain for the middle class. Good jobs. A good education. A chance to buy a home, save, and retire. And yes, the financial security of affordable health care. And I’ll look for any willing partners who want to help.Because of your hard work and tough sacrifices over the past five years, we’re pointed in the right direction. But we’ve got more work to do to keep moving that way.And as long as I’m President, I’ll keep doing everything I can to create jobs, grow the economy, and make sure that everyone who works hard has a chance to get ahead. Thanks, and have a great weekend.4. Which of the following is not the reason for people’s frustration with the government?A. The government shutdownB. Unemployment rateC. The addiction to foreign oilD. Cancelling the Affordable Care Act5. Why does the president mention more goods and services “Made in America”?A. To show that American goods and services are very popular.B. To indicate that American people should be dependent on themselves.C. To show that the employment rate has been increased.D. To show that American auto industry enjoys high technology.6. What’s the meaning of the underlined word “repeal”?A. put an end toB. try hard to fixC. make strongerD. get accustomed to7. According to the speech, which of the following can be implied?A. American people have every reason to feel frustrated with the government.B. Health care costs are growing at the slowest rate in 50 years.C. The president feels sorry that the economy is not moving in the right direction.D. Some government officials don’t agree with the president on the medical care sy stem.CConventional wisdom is a major barrier to innovation(创新)that threatens the survival of companies everywhere. It’s based on the assumption that old ideas will always work, so they shouldn’t be challenged. While this may be a valid assumption in situations that don’t change, it’s unlikely to hold true in a changing situation. In today’s rapid changing global environment, old methods often don’t work, and stubbornly using them can lead to major problems. Most people seem to agree with conventional wisdom because it gives one a false sense of security. If everyone else believes it, then it must be tree. Individuals who use conventional wisdom are certain that they are right, and being fight is good. They want to continue using old ideas rather than take risks with changes that might not work. In 1977, Ken Olsen, co-founder and CEO of Digital Equipment Corporation(DEC), stated “There is no reason for any individual to have a computer in his home.” Despite being a dominant leader in the computer industry, DEC n o longer exists.People seem to forget that since innovation is a change, there can be no innovation without change. Unfortunately, conventional wisdom prevents leaders, followers and companies from changing and therefore innovating. If companies don’t innovate, but their competitors do, the future is likely to be problematic(成问题的). Breaking from conventional wisdom has led to many of the most innovative companies and products in history across many industries, so it has a powerful effect on business success.Ted Turner(founder of CNN)knew little, if anything, about the news business, but he knew it was inconvenient to watch news only at the dinner hour, as was common before CNN. Turner’s solution was to create a cable (有线的)channel devoted to news 24 hours a day. The news establishment reflected conventional wisdom at the time, and predicted his idea would fail because no one wanted to watch the news all day. However, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that viewers don’t have to watch the news all day for the CNN to work. Viewers just have to watch when they want to get information. Due to conventional thinking, the critics failed to recognize the opportunity that was clear to Ted. They assumed that only what was familiar to them could work in the future.Conventional wisdom prevents creativity, flexibility and risk-taking, so unconventional leaders enthusiastically break from it. To survive, boom and maintain competitive advantage, companies must be flexible when reacting to change.8. DEC has disappeared probably because ________.A. the CEO stuck to the conventional ideasB. the consumers didn’t like its productsC. the leaders lacked the sense of securityD. the employees took many risks with changes9. The founding of CNN is used as an example to prove ________.A. missing opportunities could lead to failureB. watching news at the dinner hour is convenientC. changing could contribute to business successD. conventional wisdom influences business success10. What does the underlined part probably mean?A. Rocket scientists can ensure the CNN works properly.B. It’s easy to know people needn’t watch the news all the time.C. It’s necessary to understand when people watch the news.D. Most of the viewers don’t like to watch the news at work.11. The passage is mainly written to tell us that _______A. old methods are changing with timeB. opportunities lead to business successC. successful companies need wise leadersD. conventional wisdom limits innovationDA new study has discovered that meditation(冥想)and oxygen sport together reduce depression(抑郁).The Rutgers University study found that this mind and body combination done twice a week for only two months, reduced the symptoms for a group of students by 40 percent “We are excited by the findings Because we saw such a meaningful improvement in both clinically depressed and non—depressed students,”said lead author Dr.Brandon Alderman.“It is the first time that both of these two behavioral ways have been looked at together for dealing with depression.”Researchers believe the two activities have an interactive effect in combating depression.Alderman and Dr.Traeey Shors discovered that a combination of mental and physical training (MAP)enabled students with major depressive disorder not to let problems or negative thoughts defeat them.Rutgers researchers say those who participated in the study began with 30 minutes of focused attention meditation followed by 30 minutes of oxygen sport. They were told that if their thoughts drifted to the past or the future they should refocus on their breathing, enabling those with depression to accept moment-to-moment changes in attention.Shors, who studies the production of new brain cells in the hippocampus—part of the brain involved in memory and learning—says scientists have shown in animal mode1s that oxygen sport exercise keeps a large number of certain cells alive. The idea for the human intervention(干预)came from her laboratory studies, studies, she says, the main goal of helping individuals acquire new skills so that they can learn to recover from stressful life events.By learning to focus their attention and exercise, people who are fighting depression can acquire new learning skills that can help them process information and reduce the overwhelming recollection of memories from the past,Shors says.“We know these treatments, can be practiced over a lifetime and that they will be effective in improving mental health.”said Alderman.“The good news is that this intervention can be practiced by anyone time any time and at no cost.”12.What made the research so different?A.Adopting a way of meaningful talk.B.Combining the two ways to treat depression.C.Treating depression with special medicine.D.Comparing the depressed with the non-depressed.13.The underlined word “combating”in Paragraph 3 can be replaced by______.A.fighting B.identifying C.distinguishing D.examining14.What did the participants do in the research?A.They did oxygen sport half an hour before thinking.B.They through quietly and then took exercise.C.They took exercise longer than they thought.D.They took exercise while thinking quietly.15.What is Shors’main purpose of her studies?A.To find our certain brain cells of humans.B.To study the production of new brain cells.C.To offer people a new methord to treat stress.D.To decide the links between stress and exercise.第二节(共5小题,每小题2分,共10分)根据短文内容,从短文后的七个选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项,选项中有两项为多余选项。

Liz PayneBThe freezing Northeast hasn’t been a terribly fun place to spend time this winter, so when the chance came for a weekend to Sarasota, Florida, my bags were packed before you could say “sunshine”. I left for the land of warmth and vitamin C(维生素C), thinking of beaches and orange trees. When we touched down to blue skies and warm air, I sent up a small prayer of gratefulness. Swimming pools, wine tasting, and pink sunsets(at normal evening hours, not 4 in the afternoon) filled the weekend, but the best part- particularly to my taste, dulled by months of cold- weather root vegetables- was a 7 a.m. adventure to the Sarasota farmers’ market that proved to be more than wort h the early wake-up call. The market, which was founded in 1979, sets up its tents every Saturday from 7:00 am to 1 p.m, rain or shine, along North Lemon and State streets. Baskets of perfect red strawberries, the red-painted sides of the Java Dawg coffee truck; and most of all, the tomatoes: amazing, large, soft and round red tomatoes.Disappointed by many a broken, vine-ripened(蔓上成熟的) promise, I’ve refused to buy winter tomatoes for years. No matter how attractive they look in the store, once I get themhome they’re unfailingly dry, hard, and tast eles s. But I homed in, with uncertainty, on one particular table at the Brown’s Grove Farm’s stand, full of fresh and soft tomatoes the size of my fist. These were the real deal- and at that moment, I realized that the best part of Sarasota in winter was going to be eating things that back home in New York I wouldn’t be experiencing again for months.Delighted as I was by the tomatoes in sight, my happiness deepened when I learned that Brown’s Grove Farm is one of the suppliers for Jack Dusty, a newly opened restaurant at the Sarasota Ritz Carlton, where- luckily for me- I was planning to have dinner that very night. Without even seeing the menu, I knew I’d be ordering every tomato on it.24. What did the author think of her winter life in New York?A. Exciting.B. Boring.C. Relaxing.D. Annoying.25. What made the author’s getting up late early worthwhile?A. Having a swim.B. Breathing in fresh air.C. Walking in the morning sun.D. Visiting a local farmer’s market.26. Check into a hotel.C. Eat in a restaurant.D. Buy fresh vegatables.CSalvador Dali (1904-1989) was one of the most popular of modern artists. The Pompidou Centre in Paris is showing its respect and admiration for the artist and his powerful personality with an exhibition bringing together over 200 paintings, sculptures, drawings and more. Among the works and masterworks on exhibition the visitor will find the best pieces, most importantly The Persistence of Memory. There is also L’Enigme sans Fin from 1938, works on paper, objects, and projects for stage and screen and selected parts from television programm es reflecting the artist’s showman qualities. The visitor will enter the World of Dali through an egg and is met with the beginning, the world of birth. The exhibition follows a path of time and subject with the visitor exiting through the brain. The exhibition shows how Dali draws the viewer between two infinities (无限). “From the infinity small to the infinity large, contraction and expansion coming in and out of focus: amazing Flemish accuracy and the showy Baroque of old painting that he used in his museum-theatre in Figueras,” explains the Pompidou Centre. The fine selection of the major works was done in close collaboration (合作)with the Museo Nacional Reina Sofia in Madrid, Spain, and with contributions from other institutions like the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg.28.

She returned with a bowl of cat food and slid it beneath the bush. The next night, the cat returned.Ann fed him again, moving the bowl closer to the house. After a week, the mystery cat showed himself. He was long-haired,wick a plume(羽毛状)of tail ended by a white tip.Ann called him Mr.Fancy,or Fancy for short.Soon,Mr.Fancy was walking in and out of the cat door. However,Ann's husband,Gene, argued that Fancy should find a new home."We don't need another mouth to feed, and vet bills are expensive," he said.Reluctantly(勉强的), Ann agreed. The drive to the animal shelter was heartbreaking.Ann cried. Her son Jimmy cried. She comforted Jimmy by saying,"He's so beautiful and lovable.Somebody will want him."A month later,Ann woke to the sound of Gene's voice. She went to see which animal he was talking to—and saw a white-tipped tail.A thinner Fancy ran across the room to her. When she asked the shelter what had happened, she learned that Fancy had escaped 20 minutes after she had left, when a worker opened the cage to feed him.Somehow, over the next month,he's navigated the three miles—travelling along railroad tracks, busy streets, andneighborhoods—back to the Bosches."He is meant to he here," Ann said.Even Gene agreed "Whatever time I have with him,"Ann said,"they're going to be the best years of his life."5.Who is "Gracie"?A.Ann's dog.B.Ann's child.C.Ann's housekeeper.D.Ann's cat.6.Why did Gene think Fancy should find a new home?A.Other two cats may fight against Fancy.B.Fancy is so lovable that someone will want him.C.Fancy is walking in and out regardless of other pets.D.To raise Fancy will burden them with mare bills.7.The underlined word "He" in the last paragraph refers to .A.GeneB.JimmyC.FancyD.Bosco8.Which word can best describe Ann Bosche?A.Generous.passionate.C.Merciless.D.Selfish.CThe UK is a rich tapestry of cultures and traditions. While appearing similar on the surface, each of the four countries are so diverse both in the languages spoken and the food that's eaten.I come from a small town in Wales and as such have a strong sense of pride for my country. One of the stranger and more interesting traditions is the "Mari Lwyd" in Welsh,or the "Grey Mare" in English. The Mari Lwyd is a midwinter tradition and can take place any time in December through to January. The Mari Lwyd is a horse's skull. It's decorated in white and attached to a long pole.Sometimes the skull is painted and decorated with coloured ribbons and bells. The Mari Lwyd goes around the town and tries to bite innocent villagers. If you are bitten you have to pay a fine but today it's just for fun!I love the evening;everyone comes out and follows the horse's skull as it makes its way through the town singing at each door, usually stopping at various pubs and trying to gain entry, food and drink. There's traditional music and dancing.Sometimes there are Morris dancers who paint their faces black and wear colourful ribbons to disguise themselves. Many of the children are dressed in national dress. It really brings everyone together and you feel such a great sense ofcommunity!Although one of the oldest traditions in Wales,it nearly died out!Luckily today, there has been a rise in popularity with many Welsh towns breathing life again to these old-age customs. It's believed that it will be a hit again.9.What can we learn about the Mari Lwyd?A.It is celebrated in early winter.B.In the custom,a living horse bites villagers.C.A decorated skull goes around the town.D.It is the oldest tradition in Wales.10.What does the underlined phrase "a hit" mean?A.A failure.B.A popular activity.C.A serious crash.D.A promising plan.11.What is the author's purpose in writing the text?A.To introduce an interesting tradition.B.To tell the differences among traditions.C.To cell for people to observe traditions.D.To show his pride of his country.DThere has been a technological revolution where kindles,e-books,and various online reading apps have taken over the world. Is reading a print hook out of date?Well, not exactly. There are so many wonderful factors involved with reading a print copy of the book.I remember the excitement of going to the bookstore with my mom when I was in elementary school. The feel of sitting down in the hook store and selecting the books I wanted to read was just so much fun!I think that reading paperback books has its own charm and excitement that cannot be replaced by an electronic book.Holding the physical copy of the book in my hands, and turning over each page makes the reading experience so much more real and memorable.Admittedly,e-books seem to be more convenient than print books.Purchasing an e-book can take place in seconds and these books are often priced less expensively than print copy books. With e-books,there most likely isn't going to be a storage problem, unless the device has a limit on how many books can be purchased. Then again,in order to read e-books one must have a particular device—tablet,iPad,Kindle or laptop to read it on.Thus,an additional payment has to he made in order to read e-books,whereas reading print copies does not involve any extra device.Print books never actually stopped leading the charge, considering that e-book sales have never made up more than a third of all book sales. And although they rose to that number extremely quickly—Amazon, only introduced the Kindle in 2007—the majority of all hooks soldhas always been print. The reality is that there is absolutely no reason print and e-books can't coexist in the book market, but print hooks may carry the day.12.What pleasure does the author have when he reads print copy books?A.He doesn't have to buy a tablet or iPad.B.He can get home and stay on the couch to enjoy reading.C.He can enjoy filling his shelf with books.D.He can sit down in the bookshop and read what he likes.13.What advantage do e-books have according to the passage?A.The reading experience is more real.B.There is no storage problem at all.C.Purchasing them takes less time.D.They are very priceless.14.What can we infer about the book market?A.E-book sales make up more than 1/3 of it.B.E-book sales have never surpassed print book sales.C.Amazon occupies most of the market.D.Print books and e-books can't coexist.15.What can be a suitable title for the text?A.Print Books May Outlast E-BooksB.Books Change with the TechnologyC.E-books Are More Convenient than Print BooksD.Technological Revolution is Creating a Reading Revolution第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。

(1)因为cos cos 02C C +=,所以22cos cos 1022C C +-=,解得cos12C =-或1cos 22C =, 又0C π<< ,故22C π0<<,从而23C π=,即23C π=. (2)由余弦定理2222cos c a b ab C =+-得,221a b ab ++=, ① 由三角形ABC 的面积1sin 2ab C ==13ab =, ②由①②得,a b ==.16. (1)因为AB //DE ,又AB ⊄平面DEF ,DE ⊂平面DEF ,所以AB //平面DEF , 同理BC //平面DEF , 又因为AB BC C =I , AB BC ⊂,平面ABC ,所以平面ABC //平面DEF . (2)因为CAB ∠是二面角C -AD -E 的平面角,所以CA AD BA AD ⊥⊥,, 又因为CA AB A =I , AB ,CA ⊂平面ABC ,所以DA ⊥平面ABC , 又DA ⊂平面DABE ,所以平面ABC ⊥平面DABE .17. (1)过点P 分别作AB ,AD 的垂线,垂足分别为E ,F , 则△PNF 与△MPE 相似,从而PF NF EM PE=,所以2121n m -=-,即211m n+=. 欲使剩下木板的面积最大,即要锯掉的三角形废料MAN 的面积 12S mn =最小.由211m n =+≥8mn ≥ (当且仅当21m n =,即4m =,2n =时,“=”成立),此时min 4S =(平方分米). (2)欲使剩下木板的外边框长度最大,即要m n +最小.由(1)知,()()212333n m m n m n m n m n +=++=++=≥,(当且仅当2n m m n =即2m =,1n 时,“=”成立),答:此时剩下木板的外边框长度的最大值为33-分米.18. (1)由椭圆C :2221x y a+=(a >1)知, 焦距为2=, 解得a =因为a >1,所以a .(第17题)(2)设直线1y kx =+被椭圆截得的线段长为ΑΡ, 由22211y kx x y a=+⎧⎪⎨+=⎪⎩,,得()2222120a k x a kx ++=, 解得10x =,222221a kx a k=-+.因此2122221a kΑΡx a k=-=+. (3)因为圆与椭圆的公共点有4个,由对称性可设y 轴左侧的椭圆上有2个不同的公共点为P ,Q ,满足AP AQ =.记直线AP ,AQ 的斜率分别为1k ,2k ,且1k ,20k >,12k k ≠. 由(2)知,1AP,2AQ ,12,所以22222222121212)1(2)0k k k k a a k k ⎡⎤-+++-=⎣⎦(,因为1k ,20k >,12k k ≠,所以22222212121(2)0k k a a k k +++-=, 变形得,()()22221211111(2)a a k k ++=+-, 从而221+(2)1a a ->,解得a则)1c e a =. 19. (1)因为函数()f x 为偶函数,所以()()f x f x -=-,即()()()323222x a x b x c x ax bx c -+-+-+=----, 整理得,20ax c +=,所以0a c ==,从而3()2f x x bx =+,又函数()f x 图象过点(12)-,,所以4b =-. 从而3()24f x x x =-.(2)①32()2()f x x ax bx c a b c =+++∈R ,,的导函数2()62f x x ax b '=++. 因为()f x 在1x =和2x =处取得极值,所以(1)0(2)0f f ''==,, 即6202440a b a b ++=⎧⎨++=⎩,,解得912a b =-=,. ②由(1)得32()2912()f x x x x c c =-++∈R ,()6(1)(2)f x x x '=--. 列表:5c4c 9c显然,函数()f x 在[0,3]上的图象是一条不间断的曲线.由表知,函数()f x 在[0,3]上的最小值为(0)f c =,最大值为(3)9f c =+. 所以当0c >或90c +<(即9c <-)时,函数()f x 在区间[03],上的零点个数为0. 当50c -<<时,因为(0)(1)(5)0f f c c =+<,且函数()f x 在(0,1)上是单调增函数,所以函数()f x 在(0,1)上有1个零点.当54c -<<-时,因为(1)(2)(5)(4)0f f c c =++<,且()f x 在(1,2)上是单调减函数, 所以函数()f x 在(1,2)上有1个零点.当94c -<<-时,因为(2)(3)(4)(9)0f f c c =++<,且()f x 在(2,3)上是单调增函数, 所以函数()f x 在(2,3)上有1个零点.综上,当0c >或9c <-时,函数()f x 在区间[03],上的零点个数为0;当95c -<-≤或40c -<≤时,零点个数为1; 当4c =-或5c =-时,零点个数为2;当54c -<<-时,零点个数为3.20.(1)依题意,11111166022a a a aa b ++=--- (当且仅当111a a =时,等号成立).(2)易得()1342n n --=--,当n 为奇数时,()13420n n --=--<,所以43n <,又*n ∈N ,故1n =,此时111a b ==-; 当n 为偶数时,()13420n n --=-->,所以43n >,又*n ∈N ,故246n =,,,…若2n =,则222a b ==,若4n =,则448a b ==, 下证:当6n ≥,且n 为偶数时,()1342n n --<--,即()12134n n --->-.证明:记()12()34n p n n ---=-,则()()()112434(2)341()32322n n n p n n p n n n +----+-=⋅=>++--, 所以()p n 在6n ≥,且n 为偶数时单调递增, 从而17()(6)17p n p >=>.综上,124n =,,,所以m 的值为3. (3)证明:假设3m =,不妨123n n n <<,满足11n n a b =,22n n a b =,33n n a b =, 设1(1)n a a n d =+-,11n n b b q -=,其中0q >,且1q ≠, 记11()(1)xb f x a x d q q=+--⋅, 则1()ln x b f x d q q q '=-⋅,()21()ln x b f x q q q''=-⋅,由参考结论,知112()n n ξ∃∈,,1()0f ξ'=,223()n n ξ∃∈,,2()0f ξ'=, 同理,12()ηξξ∃∈,,()0f η''=,即()21()ln 0b f q q qηη''=-⋅=, 这与()21()ln 0b f q q qηη''=-⋅≠矛盾,故假设不成立,从而3m ≠.第Ⅱ卷(附加题,共40分)A .因为ABCD 是圆的接四边形,所以DAE BCD ∠=∠,FAE BAC BDC ∠=∠=∠. 因为BC BD =,所以BCD BDC ∠=∠, 所以DAE FAE ∠=∠,所以AE 是四边形ABCD 的外角DAF ∠的平分线.
