We usually link a consonant sound with a vowel sound.
When the first word with in –r or –re and the next word
begins with a vowel sound, we join them together with a /r/
sound between them.
When there are two vowel sounds, we join them as if there
were a /j/ or /w/ sound between them.
When two consonant sounds of two words meet, we
sometimes do not need to pronounce the first consonant
sound.
