III. Insist的用法 1）当作为坚持主张，坚决要求，后接宾语从句时，用 (should )+ do We insisted that father should give up smoking. 2) 坚持说，坚持认为，后接宾语从句，如果说的是事实， 则用相应的时态. Jane insisted that she had done nothing wrong. 3) insist on/upon (doing) sth 与insist（1）用法相类似的用法还有：二命令 （order,command）,四建议（advise,propose,suggest, recommand), 四要求（request, require, demand, desire）,这些词后面跟的宾语从句都用虚拟语气: should +do的形式.
8.考查with 的复合用法. 结构: with +宾语+宾补 功能: 作状语,定语 He likes to sleep with the door open. (adj 做宾补) The teacher came in with a book in her hand. (介词短语做 宾补) The girl with a bag on her back went happily to school. (介词短语做宾补) With the homework finished, he went out to play. (过去分 词做宾补) With a local guide leading the way, we got there easily. (现在分词做宾补) With lots of work to do, she refused the invitation.(不定式 宾补)
8. prefer的用法: prefer doing to doing prefer A to B 与B 相比更喜欢A prefer to do =prefer doing 更喜欢干某事 prefer sb to do sth 更喜欢某人干某事 prefer to do rather than do 喜欢干…而不喜欢 干….. 特别要注意的是 prefer 不可用 more, most 来修饰。 I prefer this more than that.(x) I prefer this more to that.(v)= I like this more than that.
2. So 放在句首，句子采用部分倒装。 So+adj/adv+情态动词/be 动词/助动词+主 语+v So loudly did the woman speak that people in the next room could hear her voice. So +adj/adv +be动词+主语 So naughty is the boy that nobody in his class likes him.

He persuaded me not to go/out of going there. 如果劝说不一定成功时，要用 advise sb to do或 try to persuade sb to do She tried to persuade him to give up smoking, but he wouldn’t listen.
