此外,如果还有精力的话,PREP07/PREP08/PREP12也可以用来检测我们对OG 的掌握。

WHICH THAT WHO WHOM WHOSE WHERE WHEN在GMAT语法中,为了避免修饰歧义,定语从句往往就近修饰,如:句1.The 32 species that make up the dolphin family are closely related to whales and in fact include the animal known as the killer whale, which can grow to be30 feet long and is famous for its aggressive hunting pods.

2. Emily Dickinson's letters to Susan Huntington Dickinson, which were written over a period beginning a few years before Susan's marriage to Emily's brother and ending shortly before Emily's death in 1886, outnumber her letters to anyone else.

According to HelrEdited by Alex重中之重:五大考点1.

I put the book (to be )on the table.

2. 用引导词there is或there are的句子,主谓一致取决于there后面的名词。

除非是:but that, except that, in that(=because)。

36 介词+one’s being done永远错。

44 宾语从句并列,譬如the report showed that 句子1 and that 句子2。

49 简洁性原则:譬如evidence of what was...

False analogy1.

重复结论+扼要重述论据+转折(总论)In this memo the vice president of Nature's Way CNW), a chain of stores selling health food and health-related products, recommends opening a store in Plamesville. To support this recommendation the vice president cites the following facts about Plainesville: (1) sales of exercise shoes and clothing are at all-time highs; (2) the local health club is more popular than ever; and (3) the city's schoolchildren are required to participate in a fitness program. Close scrutiny of each of these facts, however, reveals that none of them lend credible support to the recommendation. Merely based on unfounded assumption and dubious (suspicious) evidence, the statement draws a conclusion that_____. To substantiate (support) the conclusion, the arguer points out evidence that_____. In addition, he indicates that_____. Furthermore, he cites the result of a recent survey in support of this recommendation. At first glance, the author’s argument appears to be somewhat convincing, but further reflection reveals that it omits some substantial concerns that should be addressed to substantiate the argument. In my point of view, this argument suffers from N logical flaws.1. 指出存在几个flawIn this argument, the author concludes that, to support his conclusion, he points out that ____. In addition, he infers that____. Furthermore, the arguer sites as a typical example in support of his recommendation. However, this alone / only this do not constitute a logical argument in favor of its conclusion, and fails to provide convincing support, making this argument sound and invulnerable.

Not one of =none of。

在正常语序中: 短语本身不可以加入其它成份,比如变成:not only...but it also...

2. 倍数表达:twice (as much as) sth.; X times adj. than; X times as adj. as; double sth.i. x times(twice) + the + n. (twice还能做determiner)ii. x times adj. (比较形式) thaniii. x times as adj. as 注意里面的adj. A do x times as adj. …x asB doiv. x times + what 分句(名词性从句相当于名词)v. x-foldvi. double, triple, quadruple, quintuple, sextuple•not only…but also•做题的时候要弄清楚句子的意思是递进还是转折,如果是递进not only...but also 没问题,如果是转折的话,就要考虑一下是否是GMAC的陷阱了, but/but also才是表示转折的意思.重新摘录一下前面提到过的用法:首先Not only…..but (also)表示的关系是递进, 其中also可以省略……….But/but also表示的是转折.not only ...but also表示并列,不能表示转折,不要有先入为主的感觉认为not only...but also必须一起出现。

1) 在正常语序中: not only … but also 应连接两个相对称的并列成分。
