本单元的教学话题是“Things made in China”, 功能是谈论物品由什么制造而成以及产地和制造者等。
主要语法是一般现在时的被动语态,在后面的U6&U7分别还会继续深入介绍一般过去时被动语态以及含有情态动词的被动语态。
本单元将带领学生了解“中国制造”这一全球流行的现象,领略中国的传统艺术文化,比如:孔明灯、剪纸、泥塑等独特魅力。

三、单元学情分析学生在之前学习中已经接触过了被动语态,如:U2中A Christmas Carol is a famous short novel written by Charles Dickens. U4中be used to do等表达,大部分学生已经对被动语态有了一定的认知基础,能够在阅读中辨识出被动语态,因此在本单元让学生掌握被动语态的用法并不困难。
另外,通过本次月考发现学生在听说考试中出现的问题。
听的部分最容易在第二节听问句选应答,因为只有一次机会,所以学生在之前的准备时间应该做好充分的听前预测,以便迅速和准确地找到答案。
说的方面在表达部分普遍分值在3分,分析原因是没有策略,不打草稿,临时想怎么说就怎么说,不会充分利用120秒的准备时间。
学生的能力训练渗透在平时的教学中是尤为重要的,所以钛通过平时的训练来加强和提升听说成绩。

Today I’m going to talk about my teaching ideas about2a-2c ofSection B Unit 5 Grade 7.I’m going to analyze this part of teaching from 6 parts. As you can see, they are Analysis of the Teaching Material; Analysis of teaching aims ;Analysis of the Teaching Methods; Analysis of learningmethods; Teaching Procedures and Reflecting.Part 1 Analysis of teaching materialThe topic in this unit is to talk aboutownership; it talks about ball games and the simple question. The students have already known to answer it “Yes” or “No” in U nit 2. We know, simple question is a kind of important structure. If the students can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the students to learn the special question. And it’s related to our daily life c losely, so it’s very useful. And it is the fourth lesson of this unit, which includes 2a to 2c, The students are supposed to use the words and expressions they have learned in this unit to finish this task, especially the use of the adjectives to talk about the balls.Ss must grasp the reading skills by skimming or guessing and find out the detailsPart 2 Analysis of teaching aimsAccordi ng to the students’ language foundation and 2a-2c’s status and function in this unit, I will set my teaching aims as following.No.1 Knowledge aims:1.words and phrases: same, love, only, relaxing,play sports, with the classmates,2.target language: I have a soccer ball.I play ping-pong with my classmates.I don’t have a basketball, it’s difficult for me.No.2 Ability aims: after the class, the Ss must grasp the reading skills, such as guess the words, skim the general ideas. They also can use the words and target language to describe their own sports collection.No.3 Emotion aims: to be healthy, Ss should play sports with their friends or family.To make the students love sports, love life.Important and difficult points.In this class, the important point is that Ss must grasp the reading skills by skimming or guessing and find out the details. The difficult points are the new words and the usage of the adjectives.Part 3 Analysis of teachingmethodsIn order to achieve my teaching aims, I will adopt “5P” teaching mode. They give students more chances to learn by doing. Before reading, Task-based Language Teaching will be adopted, too, which focuses on both knowledge and the learning process. And while reading, in order to make my lesson lively and interesting, I will also use Competition teaching method to arouse Ss’ interests.I'm not a teacher but a guider. I'm ready to give them help whenever theyneed and re-correct the mistakes while talking.Part 4 Analysis of learningmethodsFirstly, Look and say to gain target language .Secondly, pair work to reach the goal.Thirdly, Cultivate skills in speaking, reading and expressing.Fourthly, In order to overcome the difficulty, they cultivate their abilities of observationand teacher-guided learning strategies.Part 5 Analysis of teaching proceduresThis is a lesson about reading.FirstlyI will lead the students to talk about something related to the topic. Such as:I have a soccer ball, it’s interesting.Then, let me mainly tell you how I deal with the reading. And I will divide it into 3 steps: pre-reading, while-reading and post reading. This step-by-step progression can help the students cultivate the reading skills. I’ll do it like this:First, Read quickly to find the answer to one easy question to help the students to grasp the idea of the passage as a whole.Second, Read again carefully to answer some questions to understand the details.Third, Read for the third time to understand the new words according to the information. Each time the Ss read the passage, I’ll tell them to read for what, how to read to grasp the reading skills. Step1 Preparation(5’)First of all, I will greet my Ss as usual.In order to review the target language in the last period, some pictures and structures will be shown on the screen. The Ss ask and answer them in pairs. Next, they’ll talk about what they think of the ball games to review the adjectives. It’s easy for them, and I believe everyone wants to win, so the Ss must be creative. And it helps Ss to prepare for the next step.Step 2 Presentation(4’)First, the Ss will have a brainstorming, who has the best memory? They do it like this. It can attract their attention to memorize the ball games.Second, in order to sweep away the difficulties for reading, I’ll give them a writing task. Ss write down the sports words they have or don’t have and what they think of them. And I’ll give them some funny faces to memorize the adjectives, I’m sure they’ll be interested in them.Step 3 Practice(15’)After the presentation, the Ss will have some practice to improve their reading skills.1.Fast reading, I’ll ask the Ss to read the question: who has a soccer ball after me, so that they can go through the article quickly with the purpose?Because there’s a compe tition called who is the fastest, I’m sure theymust be creative to read.2. Read after the tape. This time, the Ss should read after the tape more carefully and find out some details to answer the following questions. I’ll ask them to line the answers in t he paragraph, so that they can find out the answers correctly and understand the paragraph better and more deeply. After the questions, they must know the paragraph heading.3. Read in groups. I’ll divide the whole class in 3 groups, each group reads one p assage. Then check who they think says the sentences. It provides Ss with reading comprehension practice using the target language. By doing this, I can check if all Ss are following the text and all Ss are pronouncing the words properly. And the Ss should know that they must be careful about the details in the paragraph.4.Read together and guess the meaning. It’s the fourth time they read the paragraph, so after the reading, they must know the correct meanings of every word. There’re some new words, so I give them some Chinese to help to understand. And I’ll tell my Ss when they meet some new words, please don’t look them up in the dictionary, but guess the meaning in the whole sentence. Well, after checking the answers, the Ss read the phrases for several times.After the four times of reading and practicing, the Ss must know the paragraph well, and they should use the new words and sentences to talk about something about what they have and why they like or don’t like it.Step 4 Production(10’)1. Because they’re several new words in the paragraph, in order to check if all the Ss have mastered them well, I’ll ask the Ss to read the article silently and finish the sentences with the new words.2. Report. I’ll show a picture of Beckham, and his sports collections, and the funny faces. I’ll also give some useful structures to help them finish the report.I’m a reporter from CCTV-5. Today we’ll talk about Beckham. He has 3 soccer balls. He ……Beckham is many students’ idol, so they must be interested in talking about him.Step 5 Progress(5’)In order to help the Ss to develop their reading skills of skimming and guessing, I design some exercise according to a passage. So that they can read a passage faster and understand it more correctly.Step 6 Summary and Home work(1’)I’ll show the important phrases and the use of the adjectives on the screen, ask Ss to read again. As for homework, I’ll ask the Ss to read the paragraph twice after the tape and retell it to a classmate.Part 6 ReflectingIn a word, reading practice is a procedure from easy to difficult. The improvement of the reading skills depends on the full involvement of the students, the correct guidance from the teacher and the efficient promotion of the classroom teaching.As teachers, we should focus on the students, and design our teaching carefully to open the students’ mind, develop their self-learning ability and improve the ability of language using.I am just trying to do it!That’s all for my speech.
