Quarter Horse Racing (竞速赛)
The origins of modern racing lie in the 12th century, when English knights returned from the Crusades with swift Arab horses. Over the next 400 years, an increasing number of Arab stallions were imported and bred to English mares to produce horses that combined speed and endurance. Matching the fastest of these animals in two-horse races for a private wager became a popular diversion of the nobility.

专题05 迷路篇-新高考英语读后续写话题分类汇编Passage 1 吵架出走迷路阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
Jenny was the only child in her home. She had a quarrel with her mother that afternoon and she ran out of the house angrily. She couldn’t help weeping sorrowfully when she thought of the scolding from her mother. Having wandered aimlessly in the street for hours, she felt a little hungry and wished for something to eat, but it was not even possible for her, since she had nothing with her. She stood beside a stand for a while, watching the middle-aged seller busy doing his business. However, with no money in hand, she sighed and had to leave. The seller behind the stand noticed the young girl and asked, “Hey, girl, you want to have the noodles?”“Oh, yes... but I don’t have money on me…” she replied.“That’s nothing. I’ll treat you today,” said the man, “come in.”The seller brought her a bowl of noodles, whose smell was so attractive. As she was eating, Jenny cried silently.“What is it?” asked the man kindly.“Nothing, actually I was just touched by your kindness!” said Jenny as she wiped her tears, “Even a stranger on the street will give me a bowl of noodles, while my mother, drove me out of the house. She showed no care for me. She is so merciless compared to a stranger!!”Hearing the words, the seller smiled “Girl, do you really think so? I only gave you a bowl of noodles and you thanked me a lot. But it is your mother who has raised you since you were a baby. Can you number the times she cooked for you? Have you expressed your gratitude to her?”Jenny sat there, speechless and numb with shock; she remembered mother’sfamiliar face and weathered hands. “Why did I not think of that? A bowl of noodles from a stranger made me feel indebted, but I have never thanked my mum for what she has done for me.”On the way home, Jenny made up her mind to make an apology to her mother for her rudeness as soon as she arrived home.注意:1. 所续写的短文词数应为150左右;2. 续写部分分为两段,每段的开头语已经为你写好;Paragraph 1:Approaching the doorway, Jenny took a deep breath.______________________________________________________________________________________Paragraph 2:A gentle touch on her hair called her mind back.______________________________________________________________________________________参考范文:Paragraph 1:Approaching the doorway, Jenny took a deep breath. When she knocked at the door, she found the door was locked and her mother was not in. T ired and sad, she sat down in front of the house. “Where could my mother be?” she wondered, “Was she still angry with me?” Again, the scene of the quarrel appeared in her mind. She remembered her rudeness to her mother. Realizing that all the scolding from her mother was due to the fact that her mother really cared a lot about her, she felt rather ashamed, and tears began to roll down her cheeks.Paragraph 2:A gentle touch on her hair called her mind back. She raised her head and saw the familiar face of h er mother. “Here you come! I’ve been looking for you,” she said, tired and relieved. Jenny couldn’t help throwing herself into her mother’s arms. “Mum, I’m so sorry and thank you for all you have done for me.” She expressed her sincere apology and great gratitude. Hearing this, her mother smiled patting her back gently.Passage 2 追兔子迷路阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。

旋转木马英文作文
旋转木马英文作文英文:As a child, one of my favorite rides at the amusement park was the carousel. There was something magical about the way the horses went up and down, and the music that played in the background. As I grew older, I learned that carousels are also known as merry-go-rounds or roundabouts in different parts of the world. One of the things that makes carousels so special is the way they rotate. The center pole stays in place, while the horses and other animals go around and around. This creates a feeling of movement and excitement, even though the ride itself is relatively slow.Another interesting aspect of carousels is the way the animals are designed. They are often brightly colored and decorated with intricate details, such as jewels or feathers. Some carousels even have rare or exotic animals, like zebras or dragons.Despite their popularity, carousels are not without controversy. Some people argue that they are outdated and potentially dangerous, especially for young children. Others believe that they are a timeless symbol of childhood joy and should be preserved.Personally, I still love riding carousels whenever I get the chance. They bring back memories of carefree days and simple pleasures, and I appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry that goes into making them.中文:作为一个孩子,我最喜欢的游乐设施之一就是旋转木马。

租摩托车情景英语作文
租摩托车情景英语作文I finally did it. I rented a motorcycle for the first time in my life. I've always been a bit nervous aboutriding one, but today I decided to take the plunge. The feeling of freedom as I cruised down the open road was exhilarating. The wind in my hair, the sun on my face, it was an experience like no other. As I pulled up to a scenic overlook, I couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. I had conquered my fear and embraced a new adventure. The view from the top was breathtaking, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to explore the world on two wheels. The rental process was surprisingly easy. I found a reputable company online, filled out a few forms, and I was on my way. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they made sure I felt comfortable and confident before setting off on my own. I appreciated their patience and guidance as I navigated the unfamiliar terrain. One thing I didn't expect was the sense of community among fellow riders. As I stopped for a break at a roadside cafe, I struck up a conversation with a group of bikers who were on a cross-country journey. They shared their stories and offered me tips for the road ahead. It was heartwarming to connect with people who shared the same passion for adventure.Of course, there were moments of uncertainty and doubt along the way. Navigating through busy city streets and unfamiliar highways was a challenge, but I pushed through and embraced the thrill of the ride. I learned to trust my instincts and rely on my newfound skills to overcome any obstacles that came my way.As the day came to a close, I returned the motorcycle with a sense of pride and satisfaction. I had pushed myself out of my comfort zone and discovered a new passion for exploration. Renting a motorcycle was a decision I would never regret, and I couldn't wait to plan my next adventure on two wheels.。

博物馆奇妙夜英文影评[五篇范文]
博物馆奇妙夜英文影评[五篇范文]第一篇:博物馆奇妙夜英文影评Night at the Museum 2 is plugging an odd gap for family entertainment in the early summer film schedule.Outside the excellent-but-weird Coraline(still on release)and not forgetting The Jonas Brothers 3D Concert Experience(out next week – my eyes already hurt)there’s no major release targeted at children until Ice Age 3 opens on July 1.This puts a reviewer in a bind.I can only recommend Ben Stiller’s comedy sequel in the way I might a burnt sausage when there’s nothing else to eat: it’s not terribly appetising, but it’ll have to do.After all, the notion of waxwork exhibits coming to life and waging war on each other isn’t such a bad recipe for undemanding, s ugar-rush escapism, and there’s certainly enough boisterous action to keep the kids happy. Also in the plus column, we get some frisky business with a puce-coloured Leviathan squid(surprisingly friendly, when you get to know it)and a pair of Capuchin monkeys who trade subtitled insults and enjoy happy-slapping Stiller. No problems there. The movie is only a let-down when you compare its nimbler predecessor – hardly an immortal classic, but an unpretentious romp which made much better use of Stiller’s seething incredulity. In case you’ve forgotten, he played Larry Daley, a newly-recruited security guard at New York’s Museum of Natural te at night, everything came to life, and watching this furious, disappointed man get chased by a re-animated T-Rex skeleton was giddy fun, not just thanks to the state-of-the-art computer effects. It’s somehow less fun, during this film’s needlessly elaborate set-up, watching Larry pine for his previous job(he’s now a super-successful entrepreneur)andfollow his waxy old friends to the Smithsonian Institution, where they are to be stashed in an underground vault and may never see the light of day again.Robin Williams’s sad-faced Teddy Roosevelt explains the situation: without the crucial Egyptian tablet that gives them life, it’s curtains.Down in the basement, a lisping Pharaoh(Hank Azaria)has his own claim on this impressively tacky gold-embossed artifact and announces a routine evil takeover. His batty accent –one of the film’s more striking bits of eccentricity –is pitched somewhere between Quentin Crisp goes bananas and a Spanish gigolo doing a Jeremy Irons impression.Via a contretemps with a jobsworth security guard, played in the film’s one genuinely hilarious cameo by Superbad’s Jonah Hill, Larry must come to the rescu e, which means ducking and diving beneath every effect and costumed baddie at director Shawn Levy’s disposal. There’s time for an engaging, comparatively highbrow sequence in a chamber of living paintings and sculptures, which has Jeff Koon’s red balloon dog prancing about, a writhing Pollock, and a Roy Lichtenstein winking at us.The idea isn’t that original –I last remember seeing it in Joe Dante’s Looney Tunes: Back in Action–but it pays off with a full-scale trip inside Robert Doisneau’s most famous pho tograph. We get a neat black-and-white recreation of Paris boulevard life in 1950, with those eternal kissers briefly pulled apart by Stiller and pals: a nice touch.Still, as this hectic, mechanical, more-is-less enterprise wore on, I began to feel very sorry for Owen Wilson, reprising his role as a thimble-sized Lilliputian cowboy called Jedediah. He spends the first half of the movie trapped in a storage crate, and the second half stuck in the bottom of a gradually filling hourglass enduring Azaria’s taunts. He has absolutely no chance to act or react amusingly, andneither, really, does Stiller, dutifully tethered to the chaos this time when he was better off being randomly terrorised by minuscule Indians. As for Amy Adams, joining the gang as feisty Transatlantic pilot Amelia Earhart, she remains a welcome presence in any film, and looks absolutely smashing in her tight trousers, so it’s a pity the screenwriters make her comic gifts, too, count for so little.Having to deliver the word 'ace' at the end of every line was never going to make this her most inspired gig, but then she, Stiller, Wilson, and anyone who wants a glimmer of actual style from their family entertainment, deserve quite a lot better than this.2 What’s there to say about the sequel to the fir st Night at the Museum? It’s a bit of fluff, something to take the kids to where you might be mildly entertained without having to worry about anything offensive where your kids are involved. The story picks up a few years after the first film, with Larry Daley(Ben Stiller)now a successful businessman. He has a knack for infomercial-type inventions and is doing very well –financially anyway. He still visits the museum from time to time to visit with his night-animated buddies, but not as often as he used to.It turns out that most of the museum pieces are being replaced by newfangled holographic projection versions, with the current ones being shipped off to storage at the Smithsonian, to be crated forever. He attempts to intervene but it’s a case of too little, too late – but of course the day is not lost. One thing leads to another and Egyptian prince Kahmunrah(Hank Azaria)is awakened with thoughts of world domination on his mind.In the process we once again meet Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt, Owen Wilson as Jebediah Smith the pint sized cowboy, along with new characters General Custer(played well by Bill Hader)and Amelia Earhart(played by the forever cute and perky AmyAdams). This film seemed to be more about the performances than the actual story, and there was an interesting conglomeration of characters here. The oddest of the bunch had to be Hank Azaria as the Egyptian prince… he was quite the odd combination here – being just a bit older than him and with the fact he’s always been known as a comedic charac ter actor, I was struck by how he buffed out for the role. What made it weirder was the fact that for some reason the voice they chose for his character was a bad Boris Karloff impersonation with a lisp thrown in for good measure.Beyond that Amy Adams was perky to the point of annoyance(for me, anyway)but the old style skin-tight pants she wore kind of made up for that(what can I say?).I enjoyed Bill Hader’s performance as Custer and brief cameos by Ricky Gervais and Jonah Hill were both quite funny. However as usual(for me)Ben Stiller just seemed… odd.He has a flavor of humor that while I don’t hate it, I just don’t get it and it doesn’t work for me.Thankfully it’s a fairly short film, clocking in well under two hours. It’s not awful, but nowhere near great –kind of take it or leave it film. But if you’re a parent with some little ones and you’re hungry for movies to take the family to without worrying about anything offensive, it’s a good one to go see.For anyone else, you’ll need to be a Ben Stiller fan –oth erwise it’s a definite rental.I must admit, the idea behind Night at the Museum is very clever. At night at the natural history museum in New York the exhibits come to life and wreak havoc thanks to a mummy's curse. It's up to the new night security guard Larry(Ben Stiller)to keep the chaos from spilling out into the streets of New York and keep the exhibits from perishing in the light of rry is left this task after three longtime night guards, played by legends Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney and Bill Cobbs, are let go.Let's just say they are a little bitter about being let go.They are kind enough to leave Larry an instruction manual but when Larry gets cocky, thinking he knows how to handle this situation, things go from weird to rry would not have taken this job but his ex-wife Erica(Kim Raver)threatened to take away his son Nick(Jake Cherry)if he didn't find a steady job and place to live.No points for guessing that Nick will get in on the museum madness. You also get no points that the pretty museum tour guide, played by Spy Kids star Carla Gugino, will become Larry's love interest. The best part of Night at the Museum is Robin Williams as President Teddy ing to life nightly to ride his horse throughout the museum, Williams' Mr.President is the most helpful of the museum exhibits and of course when it comes to delivering the moral of the story who better than a former President.Of course, Williams can't help but ham it up a little, but you expect that from Robin Williams.Ben Stilller seems at a loss to keep up with the goofy CGI madness of Night at the Museum.Rushed through the exposition, his character is essnetially a deadbeat who nearly loses his kid because he's so lazy. Not exactly a winning character.Once inside the museum, Stiller's Larry vacillates from coward to cocky but mostly just runs around confused and angry.Director Shawn Levy and writers Garant and Lennon hit all of the typical family movie beats, a lesson learned, bathroom humor and a monkey. They also toss in a couple action movie cliches for good measure including a chase scene involving an ancient stage coach and a miniature SUV.Trust me, my description reads far more interesting than the actual scene.2 This whole movie is one giant leap into the magical realm of suspended reality that Hollywood is so good at creating. Can museums really come to life? No---but man, it becool if they did.Keep your eye out for my favorite(and in my opinion, the funniest)scene from the film in which Larry finally confronts Attila the Hun, who makes a habit of chasing him down and attempting to dismember him each rry squares off against Attila and his barbaric horde, and proves he's in control by bringing Attila to tears. You have to see it to truly appreciate the humor.I also enjoyed the keys stealing monkey, Dexter, and his crazy penchant for causing Larry a lot of trouble. As far as special features go, this particular disc only has 2 audio commentaries available. If you're wanting more than that in the special features department, you're probably better off purchasing the 2-disc special edition.3 The movie is almost exactly as you expected it to be.CG fun, family friendly with a soft conflict and cute resolution. It did everything it was supposed to and felt very formulaic. The movie earned a few giggles out of me, but I am not calling it the comedy event of last year.I think if you have kids this movie would be perfect for them.It is light, cute and has some cool imagination behind it.It had a very Jumanji/Zanthura feel to it, but even lighter still. Some of the CG was very good.Like the Dinosaur that we all saw in the preview. He was awesome. Some of it was not so good, really bad layering and backdrops, it felt very rushed and is very noticeable to the normal movie watcher. It kinda leaves you going hmm, that looks kinda weird. Its not as bad as it could be, but you do see it and makes me wonder, if they ran out of money and had to skim a bit.The movie comes with a truck load of actors in the movie. All of whom did fine.I didn't feel love for anyone, but I wasn't turned off by anything either, this movie did just what it needed to, to get by.[tag]Ben Stiller[/tag] was normal Ben Stiller, doing his normal guy thing. No character, no surprises as far as that goes.I think it'srentable for sure, and if you have kids, its a for sure recommendation.I would think it would still be a good choice to take them to see in the theater, if you are looking for something for them, and don't want to go see Bridge to T erabithia this weekend.4 I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this one.Yes it's silly and predominantly a children's movie, but it also had some humor in it for the adults.I guess it reminded me of all the old Bugs Bunny cartoons I grew up watching.I enjoyed them as a child, but watching them again as an adult I saw whole other levels of humor that I never got as a kid. There were a lot of great comedians in this one, too.Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Robin Williams, etc.Stiller takes a job as a night watchman in a museum only to find out that the exhibits come to life after closing.Chaos ensues. It's not high drama filled with cutting social commentary, but you'll at least laugh.5 I am so impressed that there was no bad language or sex in the movie.I am not sure if the mom had a live in boyfriend or not but if she did they didn't focus on it so your kid may not even pay attention to it.Being a Ben Stiller movie it was not as funny as I expected because I was expecting a laugh all the way through and loud movie but it was a normal comedy.I am giving it a 5 star rating because it had top-notch actors and the creators and actors were able to keep it clean, something rare in the movies.
Riding horses during winter break was an incredible experience for me. I had always been fascinated by horses and had dreamed of riding one. Finally, the opportunity presented itself when a friend invited me to go horseback riding with her.On the day of the ride, we arrived at the stable early in the morning. The air was crisp and cold, but the excitement warmed me up. We were assigned our horses and given a brief lesson on how to handle them. I was paired with a beautiful chestnut horse named Charlie. He was gentle and obedient, which made me feel at ease.As we set off on our ride, I couldn't help but marvel at the winter landscape around us. The snow-covered fields and trees created a picturesque scene. The sound of the horses' hooves crunching on the snow added to the magicalatmosphere. It was like something out of a fairytale. We rode through trails and forests, enjoying the tranquility of nature. The rhythmic motion of the horse beneath me was soothing, and I felt a sense of freedom and connection with the animal. It was a completely different experience from anything I had ever done before.Along the way, our guide shared interesting facts about horses and their behavior. I learned about their incredible strength and agility, as well as their intelligence and loyalty. It was fascinating to see how the horses responded to our commands and how they interacted with each other. As we reached the halfway point of our ride, we stopped for a break. We dismounted and gathered around a bonfire to warm up and chat. It was a chance to share stories and experiences with the other riders. We laughed and exchanged tips on horseback riding, creating a sense of camaraderie among us.After the break, we mounted our horses again andcontinued our ride. The second half of the journey was just as enchanting as the first. The sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the landscape. The horses seemed to sense the change in atmosphere and became more energetic. Finally, we returned to the stable, feeling exhilarated and grateful for the experience. It was a day filled with adventure, beauty, and new friendships. Riding horsesduring winter break was a dream come true for me, and Ican't wait to do it again.中文回答:寒假骑马对我来说是一次难忘的经历。

三年级下册三单元习作英语作文看图华写一写全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Winter VacationThe bell rang for the last time before winter vacation. Yayyy! No more school for three whole weeks! I was so excited to sleep in late, play video games, and just relax. But first, we had a family trip planned. My mom, dad, brother and I were going to Lake Placid in the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York. I had been there once before when I was little, but I didn't remember much except for the cold and snow.We left bright and early one crisp December morning. The drive took forever - over 5 hours! I tried entertaining myself by reading comics, playing games on my tablet, and annoying my little brother. But it still felt like it took a bajillion years. Finally, we arrived at our cozy cabin rental near the lake. It was surrounded by towering pine trees coated in fluffy white snow. Icicles hung from the roof edges like frozen daggers. I could see my breath puffing out in little clouds. It looked like a winter wonderland! After unloading our tons of luggage and getting settled, we spent the first afternoon just exploring around the cabin. We had a blast trekking through the snowy woods, making snow angels, and pelting each other with snowballs. I attempted to build an igloo, but it kind of collapsed into a snowy mess. That night we visited the cute downtown area of Lake Placid. We walked along the main street admiring all the twinkling lights and decorations. In the town square there was an outdoor ice skating rink surrounded by little shops and restaurants. We sipped hot chocolate to warm our frozen fingers and toes. The next day, we went cross-country skiing for the first time.I had a tough time at first, constantly falling over and getting all tangled up. But after a while I started getting the hang of those skinny skis. We glided along trails winding through the forest, soft snow crunching beneath us. We saw a family of deer grazing and stopped to watch them for a while. Their tails twitched as they munched on plants peeking through the snow. It was so peaceful and quiet out there. In the afternoon, we went tubing at one of the ski resorts in the area. We rode these huge rubber inner tubes down a lift to the top of a big snowy hill, then hung on for dear life as we went zooming back down. Some of the turns whipped me around sofast, I thought I might fly off into a snowbank! My cheeks stung from the cold air. But it was an absolute blast. One evening we went on a horse-drawn sleigh ride. We all bundled up in blankets and sipped hot apple cider, clip-clopping along a trail lined with glowing lanterns. Our horse's name was Buddy and he was great, plodding along through the snow. At one point, the sleigh went over a little hill and we slid down the other side, whooshing through the snow with a spray of white powder. So fun!Another highlight was trying our hand at building an awesome snow fort. We spent hours sculpting and packing the snow, making turrets, windows, tunnels and a little courtyard area in the center. We had an epic snow battle, ducking behind our snowy ramparts as we hurled snowballs back and forth. I was patching up a hole where my brother had scored a direct hit when suddenly, WHAP! A gigantic snowball exploded right in my face, courtesy of my dad. That snow was so powdery, I could hardly breathe for coughing! After a few days of snowy adventures, we spent a day visiting the Olympic sites in Lake Placid. It was really cool seeing the downhill ski jump, bobsled track, ice arenas and other places where the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics were held. I climbedup the stairs to stand at the very top of the 120-meter ski jump tower. Looking down that insanely steep run made me so queasy! Those skiers must have boulder-sized guts to launch themselves off that thing at 60 mph. No thank you!We ended up our trip with a lovely horse-drawn carriage ride through the snowy woods and fields. I got a little sleepy with the gentle swaying and jingle of the horse's harness bells. As we rode back towards the stables, I saw the most beautiful sunset spreading vibrant pinks, oranges and purples across the sky. What a perfect way to end our winter adventure!I had such an incredible time on our Lake Placid vacation. I never imagined doing篇2Unit 3 Writing Assignment: Look at the Picture and WriteHi! My name is Emily and I'm a 3rd grader. For our Unit 3 writing assignment, we had to look at a picture and write a story about it. The picture showed a group of kids playing in a park on a sunny day. Here is what I wrote:A Sunny Day at the ParkIt was a beautiful spring day and the warm sun was shining brightly in the sky. The birds were singing cheerfully as they flew from tree to tree. I could hear the sounds of kids laughing and having fun coming from the park down the street. "Mom, can I please go play at the park?" I asked excitedly."Sure, but be back before dinner," she replied with a smile. I gave her a quick hug, grabbed my soccer ball, and rushed out the door towards the park.As I got closer, I could see there were already a bunch of other kids there playing on the swings, slides, and other equipment. A group of older boys were kicking a football back and forth on the grassy field. I spotted my best friend Jack near the swingsets. "Jack, over here!" I shouted, waving to get his attention.Jack's face lit up when he saw me. We've been neighbors and best buds since we were little kids in diapers. "Hey Emily, thank goodness you're here. I was just about to leave because I was getting bored playing alone," he said. Jack grabbed his baseball mitt and bat from the ground."No way, the fun is just getting started! Let's have a game of catch," I suggested. Jack tossed me the ball and I threw it back harder than I intended, causing it to sail over his head. "Oops, sorry about that!" We both laughed as he chased after the ball. That's how we spent the next hour, just tossing the ball back and forth and joking around like we always do.Eventually, we got tired so we took a break under the big oak tree. I was working up a thirst from all that playing. "Want to go get some lemonade from the snack stand?" Jack asked, apparently reading my mind. We got lined up to purchase our cold drinks. While we were waiting in line, I saw two girls our age named Sophia and Emma that are in our class at school. They were giggling and whispering something to each other as they glanced our way. Uh oh, I thought, here we go again with those two. You see, Sophia and Emma are good friends, but they can also be a couple of goof-balls sometimes. They're always pulling little pranks and picking on other kids for laughs.Sure enough, after Jack paid for our lemonades, Sophia stuck her foot out at the last second and tripped him up as he turned around. His lemonade went flying all over the front of his shirt! "Hey, what's the big idea?!" Jack said angrily as the two girls burst out laughing. I couldn't help but laugh a little too at the silly situation, even though I felt bad for my best friend having his drink spilled like that.Jack shot me a look like he couldn't believe I was laughing at his misfortune. "Oh lighten up, Jack! It was just a goofy prank. No real harm done," I said, trying to keep the mood light. "Here, take mine. I'll go get another one."He begrudgingly accepted my lemonade while I went and bought a new cup for myself. When I got back, Jack had calmed down and even managed to crack a smile about the whole thing. "Yeah, I guess it was kind of silly when you think about it. Good thing I always keep an extra shirt in my backpack for situations like this!" He reached into his pack and pulled out a clean, dry shirt to change into.We spent the rest of the beautiful afternoon taking turns batting some pitches, climbing on the monkey bars, and just generally enjoying being a couple of kids on summer break. We even made a new friend named Miguel who showed us some neat magic tricks using a deck of cards!Eventually, Mom called me on my phone to say it was getting close to dinner time, so regrettably I had to say goodbye to Jack and Miguel. As I walked home, I reflected on what an awesome day at the park it had been. Between the warm sunshine, fun games with friends, and even a silly prank here and there to keep things interesting, it was certainly a great way tospend an afternoon. I couldn't wait to go back to the park again tomorrow! The EndWell, that's my story based on the picture for our writing assignment! I tried to describe all the fun things kids might do at the park on a nice day. I included details about playing sports, hanging out under the trees, getting snacks, and even a classic prank between some of the character friends. Overall, I had a good time using my imagination to come up with this lighthearted tale of childhood summer adventures. Writing can be challenging sometimes, but it's also a lot of fun! I hope you enjoyed my story. Thanks for reading!篇3Unit 3 Picture CompositionWow, I'm really excited to write about the fun pictures in Unit 3 of our English book this semester! There are so many cool scenes to look at and describe. I'll do my best to use all the vocabulary and grammar we've learned so far.The first picture shows a lively park scene. I see lots of people engaged in different activities. In the foreground, there is a young boy riding his bicycle on the paved path. He is wearing ared shirt, blue shorts, and a helmet to stay safe. Just behind him, a father is pushing a baby stroller with his daughter inside. The baby looks happy and is wearing a sun hat.Off to the side of the path, there is a large grassy area where some kids are playing catch with a frisbee. The frisbee is soaring high in the air! Under the shade of a big tree, I can make out an elderly couple sitting on a park bench. The old man has a newspaper and seems to be reading out loud to his wife. How sweet! In the background, I notice a lot of tall buildings surrounding the park. They look like apartment complexes where many families must live nearby to enjoy this outdoor space. I also spot a hotdog vendor's cart, sending up a stream of smoke. It makes me hungry just looking at it! Someone should buy a hotdog from that vendor. The next picture looks like a family's living room during the holidays. Front and center is a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, with lots of ornaments, tinsel, and lights. Underneath the tree, I count at least a dozen wrapped present boxes in different sizes and colorful wrapping paper. I'll bet those gifts are for the kids!Sitting on the couch are who I imagine to be the parents, a mom and dad, watching their two children excitedly unwrapping presents. One child, a girl with pigtails, is holding up a new doll and smiling big. Her brother, wearing pajamas with a rocket ship pattern, is ripping the paper off a box which looks like it might contain a model car kit or race track.Off to the side of this scene, I can see a burning fireplace with hanging stockings above the mantle. On the coffee table are some plates with a few remaining Christmas cookies crumbs.I wish I could reach into the picture and try one of those cookies! This looks like such a joyful family celebration. The last picture shows a classroom setting that looks very familiar. I recognize those small desks and chairs from my own school. There are maps, charts, and artwork hung up all around the walls just like in my classroom too.At the front, I see a friendly-looking teacher writing on the chalkboard behind her desk. She is wearing a nice dress and shoes like all teachers do. In the rows of desks, I count about twenty students who all seem to be working quietly at their desks. A few have their hands up, maybe because they have a question or want to answer something. On the desk nearest the front, I notice a glass fishbowl with two goldfish swimming around inside. I'll bet the class pet belongs to that classroom and the students take turns caring for it. I would love to have a classroom pet like that! Overall, this picture reminds me of just a typical day at school for me and my classmates.Well, that's my attempt at describing the three pictures from Unit 3 as best I could. I tried to use lots of descriptive words to paint a clear picture in your mind of what I saw. Describing things in detail really helps practice my English vocabulary and observation skills. I hope my writing captures the fun, heartwarming scenes from these images. Thanks for reading my picture composition!。
我的寒假英语作文5句话简单过去式
我的寒假英语作文5句话简单过去式全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Amazing Winter VacationWinter vacation was so fun! I did many exciting activities and made lots of great memories. Let me tell you all about it.The first week, my family and I went to visit my grandparents. They live on a farm out in the country. When we arrived, my grandpa gave me and my little brother big hugs. He has a long white beard and always wears overalls. My grandma had baked fresh chocolate chip cookies for us. They smelled delicious! On the farm, there were so many animals to see and play with. My grandparents have cows, horses, chickens, and even a couple of goats. Every morning, I helped my grandpa feed all the animals. The baby calves were my favorite. They would run up and try to lick my hands when I fed them bottles of milk. So cute! One day, my grandpa took me on a tractor ride around the fields. I got to sit right up front with him as we drove slowly through the rows of crops. He pointed out all the different plantsand told me when they get harvested. It was fascinating learning about farming from an expert like Grandpa.Another fun activity was going on a horse-drawn sleigh ride. My brother and I bundled up in our warmest winter coats, hats, and mittens. The horses pulled us through the snowy woods as grandpa told old stories about his childhood. At the end, we roasted marshmallows over a crackling fire. I made a gooeys'more and it was amazing! When we weren't outside, I loved playing games with my grandparents indoors. Grandma taught me some new card games, and we played for hours. Grandpa set up a little mini bowling alley in the living room with plastic pins. We had tons of silly fun knocking them down.About halfway through vacation, we drove to a ski resort for a few days of winter fun. I had never been skiing before, so I took a beginner's lesson. The instructor was very patient as I practiced going up and down the small bunny hill. It was harder than I expected, and I fell down a few times. But by the end of the first day, I could make it from the top to the bottom without wiping out!The second day of skiing was even better. I felt much more confident and could go a little faster. My parents were so proudas they watched me glide down the slopes. My little brother opted for snow tubing instead of skiing. We took turns racing headfirst down the tubing course on inflatable donuts. So thrilling! In the evenings at the resort, my family and I went swimming in the huge indoor pool area. The water was nice and warm, and there were hot tubs too. We played pool games and I did cannonballs off the diving board. After working up an appetite, we went to the big buffet for a delicious dinner.Too soon, the vacation was over and it was time to head back home. I was sad for it to end, but so grateful for all the amazing experiences I had. From visiting my grandparents on the farm to skiing and snow tubing to swimming at the resort, it was two wonderful weeks I'll never forget. I made so many joyful memories with my family. Winter vacation was the best!篇2I had a great winter vacation! First, my family and I went to visit my grandparents in the countryside. We played in the snow, built a snowman, and had snowball fights. It was so much fun! Then, my parents took me to the zoo. We saw many animals like lions, elephants, and monkeys. I even fed some of them. It was amazing! After that, I went to a winter camp with my friends. We stayed in cabins, went hiking, and roasted marshmallows over a campfire. We sang songs and told scary stories. I was a little scared at night, but it was an unforgettable experience.Next, I spent some time reading books and watching movies at home. I read adventure stories and watched animated films. It was relaxing and enjoyable. Finally, before school started, my family went on a short trip to the beach. I swam in the ocean, built sandcastles, and collected seashells. It was the perfect end to my winter vacation.I had so much fun and made many wonderful memories during my winter vacation. I can't wait for the next one!篇3当然可以!不过小学生的作文一般不会有2000个字那么长。

INHERENT RISKS / ASSUMPTION OF RISKS I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT: Horseback riding is classified as RUGGED ADVENTURE RECREATIONALSPORT ACTIVITY and that risks, conditions, and dangers are inherent in (meaning an integral part of) horse/equine/animal activities, regardless of all feasiblesafety measures which can be taken, and I agree to assume them. The inherent risks include, but are not limited to any of the following: The propensity of ananimal to behave in ways that may result in injury, harm, death, or loss to persons on or around the animal; The unpredictability of an equine’s reaction to sounds, sudden movement, unfamiliar objects, persons, or other animals; Hazards, including, but not limited to, surface or subsurface conditions; A collision, encounter,and/or confrontation with another equine, another animal, a person, or an object; The potential of an equine activity participant to act in a negligent manner thatmay contribute to injury, harm, death, or loss to the participant or to other persons, including but not limited to, failing to maintain control over an equine and/orfailing to act within the ability of the participant. Horses are 5 to 15 times larger, 20 to 40 times more powerful, and 3 to 4 times faster than a human. If a rider fallsfrom horse to ground it will generally be at a distance of from 3-1/2 to 5-1/2 feet, and the impact may result in harm to the rider. Horseback riding is an activity inwhich one much smaller, weaker predator animal (the human) tries to impose its will on, and become one unit of movement with, another much larger, strongerprey animal that has a mind of its own (the horse) and each has a limited understanding of the other. If a horse is frightened or provoked it may divert from itstraining and act according to its natural survival instincts which may include, but are not limited to: Stopping short; Spinning around; Changing directions and/orspeed at will; Shifting its weight; Bucking; Rearing; Kicking; Biting; and/or Running from danger. I also acknowledge that these are just some of the risks and I ___U׀___agree to assume others not mentioned above.I am not relying on THIS STABLE to list all possible risks for me.D. I / WE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT The meaning of “WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE” is defined as the pursuit of activity in a naturaland/or wild and/or rugged and/or uncultivated area or region, as of forest and/or hills and/or mountains and/or plains and/or wetlands, which would likely beuninhabited by people and inhabited by wild animals of many types and species to include, but not limited to, mammals, reptiles, and insets, which are not tame, may be savage and unpredictable in nature and also wandering at their will. I/WE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT: THIS STABLE is NOT responsible for total or partialacts, occurrences, or elements of nature and/or sudden and/or unfamiliar sights, sounds and/or sudden movements that can scare a horse, cause it to fall, or reactin some other unsafe way. SOME EXAMPLES ARE: Thunder, lightening, rain, wind, wild and domestic animals, insects, reptiles, which may walk, run or fly near,or bite or sting a horse or person; and irregular footing on out-of-door groomed or wild land which is subject to constant in condition according to weather, temperature, and natural and man-made changes in landscape. I also acknowledge that these are just some of the risks and I agree to assume others notmentioned above. I am not relying on THIS STABLE to list all possible conditions for me. CARRY-ON OBJECTS WARNING AND SHARP, LOUD NOISES WARNING I / WE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT: When approaching, mounting and riding horses, I must not carry loose items that may fall or blow away or flap in the wind or bounce or make sharp or loud noises, the action of which may scare horses causing them to react in unsafe ways. SOME EXAMPLES ARE: Cameras, cell phones, hats not securely fastened under chin, toys purses.
