It seems as if it was /were spring already. It seems as if he would recover. It seems as if she had been to England.
2_______ for the fact that she broke her leg, she might have passed the exam. (真题2002) A. Had it not been B. Hadn’t it been C. Was it not D. Were it not
Above the trees are the hills, ____ magnificence the river faithfully reflects on the surface. (真题2003) A. where B. of whose C. whose D. which 树丛之上是巍峨的群山,倒映在水面上清晰可见。

Hale Waihona Puke __now. A、left B、leave C、are leaving D、will leave
注意 区分would rather 其它两个惯用句式:would rather do sth. “宁愿做某事”;would rather do…than do…“宁愿做某事而不愿做某事”
4.Had Judy been more careful on the maths exam , she __ much better results now. A. Would be getting B. could have got C. must get D. Would get
而不是 would get.
Had it not been for the timely investment from the general public, our company would not be so thriving as it is. (主句与现在事实相反,从句与过去事实相反) Had Paul received six more votes in the last election, he would be our chairman now.

与过去事实相反的,if从句用过去完成时,主句用would或could ,should ,might+have done结构。

eg. A more careful student wouldn’t have made such glaring mistakes. With his aid you would have succeeded in it. But for the rain, we should have had a pleasant journey. She must have been ill, otherwise she would have come to school.
Had it not been for the timely investment from the general public, our company would not be so thriving as it is. (主句与现在事实相反,从句与过去事实相反) Had Paul received six more votes in the last election, he would be our chairman now.
