London is the capital city of the United Kingdom and it has so many fun and interesting things to see and do. I'm going to tell you all about some of the cool places we visited on our London adventure. The first place we went to was Buckingham Palace. This is where the Queen lives when she is in London. The palace is huge with 775 rooms! We didn't go inside, but we got to see the Changing of the Guard ceremony outside. The guards have very tall fuzzy hats and they march around the palace. It was really neat to watch.Next, we went to the Tower of London. This is an ancient castle right on the River Thames. They had displays set up to show what it was like hundreds of years ago when it was a fortress and prison. We even got to see the amazing CrownJewels - those are the valuable jewels and gems that belong to the royal family. My favorite was the big Cullinan Diamond!Another day, we visited Westminster Abbey. This is a huge, beautiful church where many kings, queens, and important people are buried underground. We couldn't take pictures inside, but I'll never forget how pretty the stained glass windows were. They had so many bright colors! The tour guide told us about all the royal weddings and other ceremonies that have happened there over the centuries. We spent a whole day walking around and exploring Hyde Park, which is a massive garden and park right in the middle of London. We had a picnic lunch under some trees and I played on the playgrounds. We also went paddling in a little boat on the Serpentine lake in the park. That was my favorite part because we got to see all kinds of swans, ducks, and geese up close! One of the most exciting things we did was go up to the top of the London Eye, which is a humongous Ferris wheel beside the River Thames. Each little pod on the Eye is like a glass room where you can look out over all of London. We could see Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and tons of other landmarks from up there. It was a little scary being so high up, but the views were amazing!Another really cool place we visited was the Natural History Museum. This huge museum has lifesize models of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. We saw the gigantic skeleton of a blue whale that must have been over 100 feet long! My favorite exhibit was the Dinosaur Hall with its animatronic T-Rex. I also loved looking at all the beautiful gems and minerals on display. On our last day, we went on a River Thames cruise. We got to travel up and down the river on a big boat, watching the buildings and crowds go by. The tour guide told us funny stories about London as we floated under all the famous bridges like Tower Bridge. Seeing London from the river was a great way to take it all in one last time before we headed home.Overall, I had the best time in London! It's such an interesting and historical city, but also lots of fun with awesome parks, museums, and attractions. I just wish we could have stayed longer because there was still so much left to explore and discover. I can't wait to go back to London again someday and make even more amazing memories! Let me know if you ever visit and I can give you tips on the best places to see.篇2My Trip to LondonLast summer, my family and I went on a trip to London, England! It was my first time traveling to Europe and I was so excited. London is the capital city of England and it has so many cool things to see and do. Let me tell you about some of the amazing places we visited!Buckingham PalaceOne of the most famous attractions in London is Buckingham Palace. This huge palace has been the home of the Royal Family since 1837. We got to see the Changing of the Guard ceremony outside the palace gates. The guards are dressed in very bright red jackets and tall black hats. They march back and forth, stamping their feet and carrying their guns. It's a really neat tradition to watch! We didn't get to go inside the palace, but we did get to walk through some of the beautiful gardens behind it. The gardens are perfectly manicured with lots of flowers and neatly trimmed bushes. I spotted some friendly squirrels scampering around looking for food too!The Tower of LondonAnother highlight was visiting the Tower of London. This is an ancient castle right on the River Thames. It has thick stonewalls, towers, and was even used as a prison in the past! Our tour guide told us all about the history and showed us around. The most famous residents at the Tower are the ravens. There are several ravens that live there and legend says if they ever leave, the Tower will crumble! The big black birds looked pretty cool as they walked around flapping their wings. We also got to see the amazing Crown Jewels inside the Jewel House. There were dozens of sparkly crowns, scepters, rings, and other incredibly valuable gems and jewels that belonged to kings and queens from long ago. My eyes couldn't stop staring at all the diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and more! I've never seen so many shiny treasures in one place. The London EyeFor a great view of the city, we went for a ride on the London Eye. This is a massive Ferris wheel that stands 443 feet tall on the banks of the River Thames! Each of the 32 enclosed capsules can hold up to 25 people. We slowly rotated all the way around, going up and up into the sky. From the top, we could see for miles over London's skyline. Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, and other famous landmarks were clearly visible. It was a little scary beingso high up, but also really neat to get a bird's eye view. The capsule even had interactive displays that let us learn more about the buildings we were seeing.Natural History MuseumOne of my personal favorite places was the Natural History Museum. This museum is absolutely huge with tons of exhibitions all about nature, science, and the history of our planet. Of course, being a kid, the dinosaur section was my favorite part! They had life-sized models of all kinds of prehistoric creatures. There was a massive Tyrannosaurus Rex, a spiky Stegosaurus, a flying Pteranodon, and many more. I was in awe looking at these gigantic models that showed what dinosaurs would have really looked like millions of years ago. I also got to play a fun interactive game learning about different dinosaur characteristics and time periods. In another section, the museum had replicas of early human species like Neanderthals. It was crazy seeing recreations of how ancient people would have looked and lived in caves a long, long time before modern humans came around. The museum was so interesting and taught me a ton!Fun in the ParksWhen we needed a break from all the sightseeing, we spent some time relaxing in London's beautiful parks. Hyde Park is one of the biggest parks right in the heart of the city. We had a picnic lunch on the grass, visited the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain, and I got to go on the fun playground.Another day, we walked through Regent's Park which had tons of pretty gardens and lakes. We rented a little boat and got to row around the water ourselves! We also stopped to watch some comedians performing street shows to get some laughs.I loved being able to run around and play after being inside museums all day. The parks were such nice green spaces to spend time outdoors in the middle of the busy city. My feet definitely needed a rest from all the walking too! That's just a quick look at some of the amazing things we did in London. Between iconic landmarks like Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London, getting a view from the London Eye, seeing the dinosaurs and history at the Natural History Museum, and playing in the parks, it was such a fun trip! I can't wait to go back to London again someday.篇3Here's an essay about London attractions, written from a third-grade student's perspective, approximately 2000 words long:My Amazing Trip to LondonLast summer, my family and I went on a fantastic trip to London, England! I was so excited because I had never been to another country before. We spent a whole week there, and it was the best vacation ever! The first place we visited was Buckingham Palace. This is where the Queen of England lives! It's a massive palace with 775 rooms. We didn't get to go inside, but we saw the Changing of the Guard ceremony outside. Those guards with the tall, fuzzy hats are called Yeomen Warders, and they march around in a special way. It was so cool to watch!Next, we went to the Tower of London. This is an ancient castle right along the River Thames. A nice man called a Beefeater (because a long time ago they were paid with chunks of beef!) gave us a tour. He told us all about the towers, the ravens that live there, and the sparkling crown jewels. My favorite part was seeing the room where prisoners were kept and learning their spooky stories! One of my favorite places was the London Eye. This huge Ferris wheel is 443 feet tall, which is taller than a 30-story building! We rode in one of the glass capsules and got an amazing view of the whole city from way up high. We could even see the Queen's gardens at Buckingham Palace! We also visited some wonderful museums in London. The Natural History Museum had a life-sized model of a blue whale that was as long as two buses! And at the Science Museum, I got to experience what it's like to fly in a spaceship. Those museums were so interactive and fun.On our last day, we rode a double-decker bus and went shopping at some of the cool stores in Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street. We bought souvenirs like British flags, royal family magnets, and delicious English chocolates to bring home. I even got a cute plush corgi, because those are the Queen's favorite dogs!My trip to London was unforgettable. I saw so many incredible sights, learned about British culture and history, and made lots of wonderful memories with my family. I can't wait to visit other amazing places around the world someday. But for now, I'll always have my souvenirs to remind me of my awesome adventure in London!篇4My Trip to LondonLast summer, my family and I went on a big trip to London! It was my first time going to another country and I was so excited. London is the capital city of England and it's really old - it was founded almost 2,000 years ago by the Romans. We took a plane from Los Angeles to London and it was a very long flight, almost 11 hours! I watched movies and played games on the little TV screen on the seat in front of me to help pass the time. When we finally landed at Heathrow Airport, I was tired but really happy to be in a new place. We took a taxi from the airport to our hotel in central London. As we drove through the city, I got my first look at some famous London landmarks out the window. I saw the huge clocktower called Big Ben! It's part of the Houses of Parliament where people make laws for the whole country. I also spotted the tall glass skyscraper called The Shard. At 1,016 feet, it's one of the tallest buildings in Europe! The next day, we went to see Buckingham Palace. This massive palace has been the London home of British kings and queens for hundreds of years. We got to see the Changing of theGuard ceremony where the Palace's soldiers, dressed in their red jackets and big bearskin hats, march and switch shifts. It was neat to watch! Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms, including 19 state rooms, 52 royal bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms. I can't imagine living somewhere that big!Another really cool place we visited was the Tower of London. This thousands-year-old castle right on the River Thames used to be a fortress, palace and even a prison at different times in history. We got to see the amazing Crown Jewels, which are the diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other precious gem-studded crowns, scepters and jewelry that belong to the royal family. The guides told us that the Crown Jewels are so valuable that they have to be guarded every second! We also saw the legendary ravens that live at the Tower. There's an old superstition that if the ravens ever leave, the Tower and the entire kingdom will fall. One of my favorite parts of our London trip was getting to ride on a double decker bus. These iconic red buses with two levels are one of the most recognizable symbols of London. We got seats on the very top level in the front row and I felt like I was driving the whole bus! It was awesome getting such a great view of the city as we drove around. We also spent time walking around some of London's biggest and best parks. In Hyde Park, we rented a little boat and went rowing around the massive lake. We had a picnic lunch on the grassy meadows and I played frisbee with my little brother. In St. James's Park, we watched the friendly pelicans and geese that make their home in and around the park's lake and ponds. I loved seeing so much nature right in the middle of a huge, busy city.No trip to London would be complete without seeing a musical or play. We went to the theater district in the West End one night to see the legendary musical The Lion King. The costumes, singing, and dancing were all just incredible! Even though the theater was huge, it felt like the animal characters on stage were just a few feet in front of us. Getting to see such an amazing Broadway show in London was a dream come true for me.We also got to do some fun shopping on our trip. We went to the massive toy store called Hamleys which is one of the largest toy stores in the world. They had dolls, action figures, board games, stuffed animals, and every kind of toy you can imagine! I convinced my parents to get me a cool robot toy that could dance and do tricks. After a week full of sightseeing, my family and I didn't want to leave London yet! We had fallen in love with the city's amazing history, beautiful parks, and fun activities. I'll never forget my first international trip and all the incredible places I got to experience. London is an amazing city full of culture and surprises around every corner. I'm already asking my parents when we can go back!篇5My Exciting Trip to LondonLast summer, my family and I went on a wonderful trip to London, England! I want to tell you all about some of the awesome places we visited in this incredible city. Our first stop was the Tower of London. This is a very old castle right on the River Thames in the heart of London. It was first built way back in 1066 by William the Conqueror to protect the city. The Tower has thick stone walls, towers, and even a moat! We got to go inside and see the Crown Jewels, which are the royal jewels and crowns worn by the kings and queens of England. The jewels were absolutely stunning with diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and more. Our tour guide told us about the two infamous ravens that live at the Tower. I would go to the big, amazing city of New York City in the United States! New York City looks like the coolest, most fun place ever. There's just so many awesome things to see and do there. Let me tell you all about it!First of all, New York City is famous for having these giant skyscrapers that seem to touch the clouds! The tallest building there is called the Empire State Building and it has over 100 floors! Can you imagine going up that high? I bet the view from the top looking out over the whole city is totally incredible. I would love to go up there and see it for myself. They probably have telescopes up there too so you can see everything really close up. How neat would that be?Another thing New York City is really well-known for is its huge parks right in the middle of the city. The biggest one iscalled Central Park and it's over 800 acres big! That means there are tons of trees, flowers, ponds, playgrounds, and wide open grassy areas to run around in. They even have a zoo in the park with all kinds of exotic animals like sea lions, penguins, and polar bears! I love animals so getting to see ones like that up close would be a dream come true. Maybe they would even let me pet or feed some of them. For fun entertainment, New York is the place to be. They have massive arenas and theaters for watching professional sports teams play or seeing incredible Broadway musicals. I'm a huge basketball fan, so I would love to see the New York Knicks play a game at their arena called Madison Square Garden. And how cool would it be to see an actual Broadway play? The costumes, singing, and dancing is supposed to be outstanding. I can't even imagine how talented those performers must be to do that every night.Of course, you can't go to New York City without experiencing some of the amazing foods they have there too! Pretty much every kind of food from all around the world can be found in New York. But they are especially famous for their New York-style pizza. It has a nice thin crust but is still super cheesy and flavorful. My mouth waters just thinking about it! They alsohave these incredible hot dogs that they load up with crazy toppings like chili, cheese, and sauerkraut. Then there are the huge pastrami sandwiches piled high with juicy meat that they're known for. My stomach is rumbling just describing all of that! One other really awesome thing about New York City is all of the great museums they have. My favorite kind of museums are ones that teach you about science, technology, and natural history. Well, New York has the American Museum of Natural History which is one of the biggest and best museums like that in the world! They have enormous dinosaur skeletons, an entire fossil wing, and a recreation of what the surface of the moon is actually like. I'm a total museum nerd so I could spend days in there learning about all of the incredible exhibits. Those are just a few of the reasons why New York City is my dream vacation destination. Between the skyscrapers, huge parks, sports, shows, food, and museums, it literally has something for everybody! It just seems like such an exciting, lively place with constant energy and activity happening all around you. For a kid like me who gets bored easily, I know I would never run out of entertaining things to do if I got to visit New York City. It would be my ultimate vacation! Maybe if I'mreally lucky, my family will take me there someday to experience it for myself. A kid can dream, right? New York City, here I come!篇2My Dream Vacation CityIf I could go on a fun vacation anywhere in the whole wide world, I would pick to go to London, England! London is the capital city of the United Kingdom and it seems like the coolest place ever. Here's why I really want to go there.First of all, London is an old, old city that's full of amazing history. Parts of London were built way back in Roman times, almost 2000 years ago! I love learning about history, and London has some really neat places to explore like the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace. At the Tower of London, you can see the awesome suits of armor and other artifacts from when knights and kings lived there. Westminster Abbey is a huge, beautiful church where British royalty has had their coronations and weddings for almost 1000 years. And Buckingham Palace has the famous red-coated guards outside and is where the current Queen lives!Another reason why I'm so excited about London is because of all the fun activities to do there. They have tons of incrediblemuseums with fascinating exhibits on science, history, art, and more. My favorite is probably the Natural History Museum because you can see the real skeletons and fossil bones of dinosaurs that are millions of years old! How cool is that? London also has some awesome amusement parks like the London Eye, which is a giant Ferris wheel that gives you a view of the entire city from way up high. And they have the Shrek's Adventure attraction where you can go inside the world of Shrek's fairy tale. That sounds like a blast! But most of all, the number one reason I dream about vacationing in London is because it's where all my favorite fictional stories take place! The famous books and movies about Harry Potter, Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, Paddington Bear, and Sherlock Holmes all happen in London. I've read and watched those stories a million times and imagined what it would be like to actually walk down the same streets and see the same sights. In London, I could visit the real-life Diagon Alley and Platform9¾ from Harry Potter. I could see the actual park bench where Mary Poppins landed after floating down from the air. How magical would that be? Living out those stories would be a fantasy come true.My family has promised that if I keep getting good grades, they'll take me to London on our next big trip. I'm studying really hard and being a good kid because that's my biggest dream. I want to ride the double-decker red buses, eat fish and chips, and put on a silly British accent. But most of all, I want to experience the wonder and amazement of London with my own eyes. Seeing the iconic landmarks, exploring the indoor and outdoor attractions, and imaging the countless adventures that took place in that historic city sounds like the most fun vacation ever. I've got my fingers crossed that my London dream will come true!篇3The City I Want to Visit MostDo you know what city I really, really want to go to? Paris! Paris is the capital of France and it looks like the most wonderful, magical, amazing place in the whole wide world. I dream about visiting Paris all the time.First of all, Paris has so many famous landmarks and attractions that I've learned about in school and seen in movies. There's the Eiffel Tower, which is this gigantic metal tower that was built way back in 1889 for a World's Fair. Can you imaginehow cool it would be to go up in an elevator to the top and look out over the entire city? I've seen pictures and it looks breathtaking. Then there's the Louvre Museum, where they have a huge glass pyramid entrance and thousands upon thousands of famous artworks inside, including the Mona Lisa painting by Leonardo da Vinci. I love art class, so wandering through a massive museum like that examining all the beautiful old masterpieces would be like entering paradise for me.The Notre Dame Cathedral is another iconic Paris landmark I'd love to visit. From the photos, it looks like a gigantic, gothic medieval castle decorated with gargoyles and gorgeous stained glass windows. I'll never forget watching in horror when it caught fire a few years ago. I cried worried they might not be able to save it! Luckily, the main structure is still standing after over 800 years.Besides all the incredible sights, I really want to experience Parisian culture and cuisine. I took a few years of French class, so I know a little bit of the language. But it would be so fun to try speaking it with real Parisians and learn more. I've also heard that French food is extraordinarily delicious, with things like crêpes, croissants, baguettes, cheese, chocolate, and wine that people rave about. My mouth waters just thinking about it!From what I've seen in travel shows, Paris seems to have a whole romantic, artistic ambiance to it, with sidewalk cafés, mimes, painters, musicians, and people just strolling along the riverbanks dressed in berets and carrying French baguettes. How charming! I can perfectly en vision myself sitting at a little café table along the Seine River, wearing a beret (of course), sipping hot chocolate, and watching the street performers. One of the main reasons I'm so fascinated by Paris is because of all the famous artists, writers, painters, and thinkers who lived and worked there throughout history. The city seems to have been a hub for creative minds like Claude Monet, Victor Hugo, Joan of Arc, and so many others whose ideas changed the world. Walking along the same streets they walked fills me with inspiration and makes me dream about one day becoming an artist, writer, or scholar myself.I also feel like Paris would be a photographer's paradise. Everywhere you look there seems to be another picturesque scene, from the trees shading sidewalks to the gargoyles keeping watch on the cathedrals to the twinkling city lights reflecting on the Seine at night. I'm always snapping photos on my phone'scamera, trying to capture beauty wherever I can find it. In Paris, there would be an infinite supply of amazing photo ops!But more than anything, I think Paris would make me feel like I'm in a real-life fairy tale. They have royal palaces there, with the gardens mazes, and super ornate architecture. I can picture myself frolicking around the grounds of a place like the Palace of Versailles or the Tuileries Gardens pretending to be a princess like in the stories my parents used to read me at bedtime. Wouldn't that be the best adventure? The only drawback to visiting Paris is that I've heard it's quite an expensive city, especially for a kid like me who doesn't have much money. From what I understand, the hotels, restaurants, museums, and other attractions can be really pricey if you're a tourist. But a girl can dream, right? Maybe if I start saving all my allowance and Christmas and birthday money now, I'll eventually be able to go someday.Or here's another idea - maybe I'll study extra hard, get super good grades, and apply for scholarships so I can go to college in Paris someday! How cool would that be, to go live in one of the most romantic and artistic cities on earth while getting my education? I can take classes during the week, then spend the weekends wandering around, doing photo shoots, writing in cafés, and truly experiencing life as a Parisian for a few years. Ooh la la, I can't think of anything better! So that's why Paris is numero uno, the city at the very top of my list of dream vacation destinations. It just seems to have a little bit of everything - beauty, culture, food, art, history, architecture, and wonder around every corner. I know some people might think I'm just an ordinary kid from a small town and that dreaming of traveling all the way to the French capital is silly. But I don't care what they say - my imagination has no limits! Paris, I'm coming for you someday. Saving my pennies starting now! You'd better get ready, because I'm going to soak up every ounce of magic you have to offer. À bientôt, Paris!篇4The City I Dream of VisitingHave you ever dreamed of visiting a far away, magical city? A city so cool and exciting that just thinking about it makes your heart race? Well, that's how I feel about London, England! London is the city of my dreams and I would give anything to go there someday.London is the capital of England and is one of the oldest and most famous cities in the world. Just picture it - toweringbuildings scraping the sky, iconic sights like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace on every corner, and amazing museums filled with centuries of history and culture. To a kid like me, London seems like a real life fantasy land! One of the main reasons I'm so obsessed with London is because of all the incredible history there. London was founded almost 2,000 years ago by the Romans. Can you believe a city could be that old?? So many legendary figures like William Shakespeare, Queen Elizabeth I, and Winston Churchill lived and worked in London over the centuries. I'm a huge fan of the Royal Family too, so you know I'd love to see Buckingham Palace where the Queen lives!Speaking of royalty, London is jam-packed with famous castles, palaces, and forts. The Tower of London is an900-year-old castle on the River Thames that used to be a prison for royals and nobles. Just imagine - getting locked up in a real life castle! Then there's Hampton Court Palace, one of the most beautiful buildings in the country with gorgeous gardens and maze. I'd have a blast exploring every nook and cranny.London is also a city obsessed with Harry Potter, which just makes me love it even more. The Harry Potter studio tour takes you through actual sets from the movies. You can walk downDiagon Alley, step inside the Gryffindor common room, and pose inside the cupboard under the stairs - just like Harry! As a huge Potterhead, this is quite literally my dream come true. Accio London! But it's not all just castles and wizards in London - they have some of the coolest museums and attractions too. The Natural History Museum has a massive dinosaur skeleton and a life-sized model of a blue whale. The Madame Tussauds wax museum has unbelievably realistic wax figures of celebrities that look so alive it's creepy. And no trip to London is complete without riding the giant Ferris wheel called the London Eye for a spectacular view of the city skyline.I haven't even gotten to the best part yet - the food in London! I'd start every morning with a proper English breakfast of eggs, sausage, beans, and toast. Then I'd snack on fish and chips, meat pies, and crisp Indian curry for lunch from the countless food stalls around the city. And for dessert? You'd better believe I'd be stocking up on British chocolates and having a spot of tea with some jammy dodgers (Whatever those are, they just sound delightful!)Can you tell I've kind of become a London expert from reading so many books and watching so many shows about it? Imay be just a kid, but I've got this city completely mapped out in my head. I know all the Tube (subway) lines to take, I can rattle off the histories of famous landmarks, and I even have a few British slang words in my back pocket ("Cheers!" "Brilliant!" "Loo!").So if you're looking for a travel buddy on your next trip to London, you just let me know! I'll be the one geeking out over every little thing, frantically taking pictures, and babbling fun facts about every building we pass. I may drive you mad with my enthusiasm, but you've got to admit - having me around will make your trip way more interesting!London is my number one dream destination for as long as I can remember. From the historic sights to the realistic wizard experiences to the yummy iconic foods, I'm utterly obsessed. Mark my words, someday I will actually visit and when I do, you'd better believe I'll be squeezing every ounce of adventure out of that trip! For now, I'll just keep on dreaming about the day I finally get to explore the streets of London. A kid can dream, right? Pip pip cheerio!篇5My Dream Vacation DestinationDo you ever lay awake at night dreaming about going on the most amazing vacation ever? I sure do! There are so many cool places in the world that I want to visit. But if I could only pick one place for my dream vacation, I know exactly where I would go - New York City!New York City is the biggest city in the United States and it's full of excitement and adventure. It's the city that never sleeps because there is always something fun happening, no matter what time of day or night it is. Just imagine getting to see all the famous sights and landmarks with your very own eyes instead of just looking at pictures in a book. The first place I would want to visit is the Statue of Liberty. This huge statue was a gift from France and has been standing tall in New York Harbor since 1886. You can actually go inside the statue and climb up to the crown, which is 354 steps! From up there, you get an incredible view of Manhattan and the entire New York skyline. How awesome would that be?Speaking of the skyline, the next stop on my dream vacation would definitely be the Empire State Building. At over 100 stories high, it's one of the tallest buildings in New York City. Can you picture stepping out onto the 360 degree outdoor observation deck on the 86th floor? You'd be able to see for miles and milesin every direction. I'd make sure to bring my camera to take a zillion pictures from way up there!Another place I really want to go is Central Park. It's a massive park right smack dab in the middle of Manhattan with lakes, trails, playgrounds, and even a zoo! You can spend all day exploring the different areas and maybe even take a ride on one of those horse-drawn carriage rides you see in the movies. How fun would it be to have a picnic lunch on the Great Lawn? We could people watch and see if we spot any celebrities!Of course, no trip to New York City would be complete without seeing a Broadway show. There are so many amazing musicals and plays to pick from. Wouldn't it be incredible to see the bright lights of Broadway up close? I can picture the dancers tapping their feet, the singers belting out big musical numbers, and the theaters decorated with fancy curtains and chandeliers. I've heard the costumes and set designs are so detailed and beautiful. A Broadway show would definitely be the perfect way to end an action-packed day of sightseeing. At night, my dream would be to go on one of those night tours where you get to see the dazzling city lights and buildings all lit up. The tour guide would point out famous skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building, and we could ooh and ahh over the brightlights and billboards of Times Square. Maybe we'd even get to go to the top of the Rock observation deck for more amazing nighttime views! There are so many other sights and attractions I want to experience in New York City, like riding the famous subway, visiting museums like the Metropolitan Museum of Art, walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, and going shopping and eating plenty of pizza and hot dogs from the street vendors. Every day would be non-stop excitement and adventure!New York City seems like a lively, vibrant place that's bustling with people, flashing lights, cool architecture, and something fun around every corner. It would be a dream come true for me to spend my summer vacation exploring the Big Apple with my family. Making memories seeing all the top attractions would be absolutely amazing. I have my fingers crossed that one day I'll get to go on the New York City adventure of a lifetime! Wouldn't that be the best vacation ever? So what do you say, Mom and Dad - can we go to NYC next summer? I promise I'll be on my very best behavior!篇6The City I Want to Visit Most for VacationHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. Today I'm going to tell you all about the city I really really want to go to on vacation. It's a place that seems like a total wonderland to me!The city I dream of visiting is London, England. I've seen pictures and videos, and it looks like the coolest place ever. There's SO much fun stuff to do and amazing things to see. I just can't get over how awesome London seems!First off, they have real live castles there! Can you believe that? Actual giant castles like from the fairy tales with tall towers, lush gardens, and everything. The most famous one is called Buckingham Palace and that's where the Royal Family lives. I'd love to go on a tour and peek inside the palace. I bet the rooms are incredibly fancy with velvet curtains, shiny floors, and cool suits of armor lining the hallways. I'd feel like a little prince walking through Buckingham Palace!Another super cool place I want to visit in London is the Tower of London. This is an even older castle right on the River Thames. It has thick stone walls, turrets, and a moat surrounding it. How awesome is that?! In the olden days, they actually used to lock up prisoners in the tower. I'll admit, that part is a little creepy. But nowadays you can go inside, see the amazing architecture, and learn about its history as a fortress and royal palace. There'seven a famous legend about the ghosts of two little prince boys who went missing in the tower hundreds of years ago. Ooooh spooky!Speaking of rivers, I'd go nuts over getting to cruise down the Thames on one of those classic double decker boats. The Thames is right in the heart of London and flows through the whole city. On a boat tour, we'd get to see incredible sights like the Tower Bridge, the London Eye giant ferris wheel, and the Houses of Parliament which is the meeting place for Britain's government. I have this whole daydream of sitting on the top level of a tour boat, feeling the wind rushing by as we glide under all those awesome bridges spanning the river. So much history and culture to soak in!You know what else London is famous for? Double decker buses! How fun would it be to ride on the very top level of one of those buses as it winds through the streets of the city? I'd get a bird's eye view of all the action down below. Maybe I'd even get to hop on and off at different stops like Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, and Covent Garden Market. Those all sound like lively, happening places I'd love to explore. And we can't forget about the amazing museums in London. The British Museum has Egyptian mummies, the Natural HistoryMuseum is loaded with dino skeletons and other fascinating science exhibits, and Madame Tussauds has incredibly lifelike wax figures of celebrities and historic figures. My brain would explode from sensory overload taking in all that awesome stuff! But you know what I'm most excited about in London? The food! They have killer fish and chips, delicious meat pies, scrumptious sticky toffee pudding, and the most mind-blowing chocolates ever. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it all. I'd eat my way through the city, savoring every single bite. Maybe I could even take a Life Bites food tour, where an expert guide walks you through the best eats in different neighborhoods. A tour centered entirely around taste testing? Yes please!Whew, I could honestly go on and on about the magic of London. From the iconic landmarks and mind-blowing museums to the endless fun transportation and out-of-this-world food scene, it's a place that fires up my imagination to the max. Pretty much every kid's fantasy destination, if you ask me!I have my piggy bank money fund going strong, and I'm saving up every last penny. Someday, someday I WILL visit the amazing city of London. Maybe I'll even get to meet the Queen herself! (Okay, maybe not...but a kid can dream, right?) London, here I come!。

The Tower of London is another big one - a massive fortress right on the River Thames with battlements, armor displays and even ravens that live there! Apparently if the ravens ever leave, the Tower will fall. Weird but fascinating!Speaking of the Thames, taking a boat cruise along the river is an amazing way to see sights like the London Eye, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Tower Bridge. The views from the water are incredible, especially at night when all the buildings are lit up. You can even go under that famous bridge and watch it open up to let tall ships through. How awesome is that?If you're an arty farty like me, London has world-class museums and galleries to explore. The Natural History Museum is probably my favorite with its massive dinosaur skeletons and earthquake simulation. The Science Museum has awesome interactive exhibits too. For art, you can't miss places like the National Gallery and the Tate Modern. They've got works bymasters like Van Gogh, Rembrandt and Andy Warhol. The singing, dancing and acrobatics were out of this world. You get swept up in the magic of it all.Let's not forget about the food! London is a melting pot of cultures, so you can find delicacies from all over the world. I'm talking scrumptious Indian curries, fresh Italian pastas, sizzling Chinese stir-fries and more. Don't knock it till you've tried it - it's proper good grub! For a sweet treat, stop by one of London's cute cafes or bakeries. Try an English afternoon tea complete with dainty sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and a selection of elegant little cakes. Or grab one of those mouth-watering Chelsea buns loaded with sticky currants and cinnamon sugar. Your taste buds will be doing a happy dance, that's for sure!London is also a shopper's paradise, especially if your parents are happy to spoil you. On swanky Oxford Street and Regent Street you'll find all the big brand name stores. For quirky boutiques, colorful markets like Camden are the place to go. Just don't forget to haggle! London's street performers, artists and vendors definitely keep things lively and entertaining. When your feet get tired from all that walking and shopping, London has awesome parks and gardens to kick back and relax in. Massive green spaces like Hyde Park and Regent's Park make you feel like you've escaped the city completely with their meadows, lakes and shady trees. St James's Park is another leafy gem right in the heart of the city, perfect for a picnic. You might even spot the Royal pelicans who live there! At the end of a jam-packed day, the best way to unwind is by taking a ride on the iconic London Underground, known as the Tube. Whizzing through the tunnels and hearing the announcements from the classic "Mind the Gap" message is all part of the London experience.Whether you're soaking up history, getting cultured at museums, watching spectacular shows or just strolling around gawking at the sights, London never fails to wow me. With its amazing diversity, energetic buzz and endless attractions, it'sone city that always leaves me wanting more. I'd move there in a heartbeat if my parents would let me! If you ever get the chance to visit, you're in for the adventure of a lifetime. London rocks!篇2My Favorite City: London, EnglandHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my favorite city in the whole wide world - London, England! I went there on a trip with my family a couple of years ago and it was simply the best adventure ever.London is the capital city of England and also the biggest city in the United Kingdom. It's huuuuuge with around 9 million people living there! Can you imagine that many people in one place? The city itself is very old too, first established by the Romans almost 2,000 years ago in 43 AD. That makes it super ancient! Despite its age, London is a very modern and lively city with incredible buildings, tons of fun things to do, and people from all over the world. One of the most iconic landmarks in London is Buckingham Palace. This massive palace with 775 rooms is where the Queen of England lives! We got to see the Changing of the Guard ceremony outside the palace gates. The guards were dressed inred coats and tall black hats. They marched perfectly in sync and it was so cool to watch. I tried my best to march like them when we left but I'm not as good at it! Maybe if I practice more I can get a job as one of the Queen's guards someday.Speaking of the Queen, we also visited the Tower of London on our trip. This thousand-year-old castle right on the River Thames used to be a prison for a long time. We saw the incredible Crown Jewels there which are the diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other precious gems that are used during royal ceremonies. The jewels were absolutely gorgeous and sparkled like crazy! But the best part was meeting the ravens at the Tower. Did you know they have kept ravens there for hundreds of years because of an old legend? If the ravens ever leave, the whole Tower will crumble! The huge black birds looked kind of creepy up close but I thought they were really neat. Our family did sooo many fun activities in London. We rode one of the huge red double-decker buses and got to sit up top for amazing views. We cruised along the River Thames in a boat and saw places like the Houses of Parliament (where British laws are made) and the famous Big Ben clocktower. In Greenwich, we stood on the Prime Meridian line that marks 0 degrees longitude and got a foot in both the eastern and western hemispheres atthe same time! We also explored museums like the awesome Natural History Museum full of dinosaur skeletons and the National Gallery with masterpiece paintings. London has sooo many incredible museums, I don't think we could visit them all even if we stayed for a whole year!Of course, my favorite spot in all of London was the Harry Potter section! We visited the studios where the movies were filmed and got to see props, costumes, and sets from the wizarding world up close. I got my picture taken pushing the trolley through the brick wall at Platform 9 3/4, just like in the books! We drank delicious butterbeer (it tastes like cream soda), browsed the little shops of Diagon Alley, and checked out Dumbledore's office. It was like walking straight into the Harry Potter world and it felt unbelievably magical. I'm such a huge Harry Potter fan that this was probably the highlight of my whole life so far!Another highlight was trying all the yummy British foods in London. We had classic fish and chips, which are battered white fish fillets with french fries, and it was so crispy and delicious especially with a big dollop of tartar sauce on top. We snacked on meat pies filled with chicken or beef and veggies. And you can't go to London without having afternoon tea! We went to abeautiful tea house and enjoyed little sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and adorable petit fours while sipping hot tea from fancy cups. For dessert one night, we stopped at a bakery and I had the most scrumptious sticky toffee pudding ever. It was a warm cake soaked in sweet toffee sauce and just melted in my mouth...mmm I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!All in all, our family trip to London was the greatest adventure I've ever had. It truly is one of the most amazing cities on earth. From the iconic landmarks and fascinating history to the brilliant museums, fun attractions, and unbelievable food...there is just so much to see, do and experience there! London captured my heart and I know I'll be going back again someday. Maybe I'll even move there when I'm older because it's such a lively, diverse, and culturally-rich place. In the meantime, I have the greatest memories from our trip that I'll cherish forever. London, I love you!篇3My Favorite City to Visit: London!Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my very favorite city in the whole wideworld - London, England! I've been lucky enough to visit London twice with my family and I absolutely love it there. Get ready, because I'm going to tell you everything that makes London so amazing!First off, London is a really old city with such an awesome history. There are tons of castles, palaces, and old buildings all around. My favorite is definitely the Tower of London. This massive stone castle right on the River Thames used to be a prison and has incredible architecture from way back in the 1000s! I loved learning about all the famous prisoners who were kept there, like Anne Boleyn. We even got to see the stunning crown jewels too. How cool is that?Another really old and famous sight in London is Buckingham Palace, where the royal family lives. It looks like a fairy tale castle with its big black gates and those super tall red guards standing watch. We didn't get to go inside, but we did see the Changing of the Guard ceremony which was so fun to watch. All the guards march together and play music on their instruments. Their big fluffy hats are hilarious!Of course, no trip to London is complete without seeing Big Ben! This iconic clock tower is located right next to the Houses of Parliament building and the River Thames. It's one of the mostfamous landmarks in the world. Did you know its real name is the Elizabeth Tower? Well, now you do! At night, the clock face is all lit up and looks just beautiful. We took about a million pictures of it!London has world-class museums too, and I'm a huge museum buff. The Natural History Museum blew my mind with its massive dinosaur skeletons and thousands of animal exhibits. My favorite was the life-sized blue whale model hanging from the ceiling. It's so unbelievably huge! The Science Museum was another highlight, filled with hands-on exhibits about technology, space, engineering and more. I got to build my own robot and extract my own DNA. So awesome! As you can probably tell, there is no shortage of cool attractions and things to do and see in London. But in my opinion, some of the best stuff is simply walking around and exploring the different neighborhoods. I loved strolling through places like Covent Garden with its street performers, Soho with its lively restaurants and pubs, and Camden Town with all its quirky punk shops and markets.London has such a fun, unique, and diverse mix of cultures. One of my favorite memories was eating a classic English breakfast with baked beans, black pudding and all! But we alsohad incredible Indian curry, authentic Italian pizza, and delicious Belgian waffles there too. Yum yum yum! Oh, and don't even get me started on all the sweets - I'm talking scones, tarts, sticky toffee pudding, and of course, afternoon tea with those adorable little sandwiches and cakes. Every day was a delicious adventure!Another awesome thing about London is that nowhere is too far on the Underground ("the Tube") which is their underground train system. The stations have super cool old tiled hallways and pedestrian tunnels. Plus, the Tube trains run constantly so you can get around easily without your parents having to drive everywhere. We certainly used it a ton!If you think London is all hustle and bustle though, think again! There are plenty of relaxing green spaces and parks to explore too. My favorite was the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain in Hyde Park because you can actually walk through the shallow stream of water. So refreshing on a warm day! Hyde Park also had these awesome rowboats that you could paddle around in on the lake. Regent's Park had the most beautiful rose garden that smelled like heaven. At night, the city puts on a whole different show. The London Eye is this giant iconic ferris wheel right on the river that has tons of bright lights. We took a ride in one of the enclosed glasscapsules and got to see spectacular views of the entire city skyline all lit up at night. The energy and atmosphere at night was electric!I could honestly go on and on about why London is so incredible, but I'll wrap it up for now. Between the city's rich history, iconic sights, phenomenal food scene, world-class museums, green spaces, and exciting energy, London has something for absolutely everyone. I'm already bugging my parents about when we can go back! If you ever get the chance to visit, you have to go. London is my number one favorite travel destination in the entire universe and I know you'll love it just as much as I do. Cheerio!篇4My Favorite Travel City: London!Hi there! My name is Emma and I'm 9 years old. I really really love to travel with my family during summer and winter breaks from school. We've been to so many fun places, but my absolute favorite city is London in England. Let me tell you all about why I love London so much!First off, London is home to the Queen of England! How cool is that? The Queen lives right there in Buckingham Palace.Buckingham Palace is this gigantic and beautiful castle right in the middle of London. I've gotten to go tour parts of it before and I felt like a princess walking through all the fancy rooms. The outside is so pretty too with those big guards standing perfectly still while wearing their tall fur hats. My brother Jake thinks it's hilarious to try and make them laugh or move. He's so silly!Speaking of castles, London has a real medieval castle too called the Tower of London. This place is where the kings and queens from a long long time ago used to live when London was just a tiny village. It has thick stone walls, towers you can climb up, and even a moat around it! The tour guides dress up in costumes from the olden days which makes it feel like you've traveled back in time. They tell stories about all the prisoners who used to be locked up in the tower. Spooky! My very favorite part of the Tower of London though is getting to see the Crown Jewels. The Crown Jewels are the real life crowns, scepters, swords, rings and other jewel-covered objects that belong to the Royal Family. They keep them locked up in a special vault with super tight security. The jewels are just so beautiful and sparkly! I promised my mom that if I ever became the Queen of England, I would let her try on the crowns. There's so much other awesome stuff to do in London too besides the royal sites. The city is home to some world-famous museums like the British Museum and the Natural History Museum. The British Museum is full of ancient artifacts from places like Egypt, Greece and Rome. You can see real life mummies, ancient pottery and these huge stone monuments that are thousands of years old. It's crazy to think about how old some of their stuff is!My personal favorite though is the Natural History Museum. It's a museum all about science, nature and dinosaurs. They have a full Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton that is simply ginormous! There are also lots of displays about different animals, insects, rocks, space and the planet Earth. I really want to be a paleontologist who digs up dinosaur bones when I grow up, so this museum is right up my alley. If you get tired of going to museums, London also has some world-class parks perfect for running around and playing in. My favorites are Hyde Park and Regent's Park right in the center of the city. Hyde Park has beautiful gardens, lakes, playgrounds and even a corner where you can rent a rowboat or go swimming. Regent's Park has tonnes of wide open green spaces for running around plus it has the most unbelievable playground I've everseen! It's called the Regents Park Sports Pitch and it's this massive playground with ziplines, climbing areas, see-saws and basically every fun playground equipment you can imagine. Jake and I could spend all day there. And that's not even to mention all the yummy food you can eat in London! My mouth waters just thinking about it. There are restaurants, cafes and food carts serving food from all over the world. You can find amazing Indian curries, mouth-watering Italian pastas and pizzas, savory Greek gyros, crispy British fish and chips and brilliant sweets like English trifles. For a kid like me though, my happy place is the Borough Market where you can buy all sorts of candies, chocolates and baked treats from little outdoor stalls and shops.I also loooove riding the iconic red double-decker buses and taking the London Underground, which is their subway system. It's so handy for getting around the city quickly. The tube stations have such cute names like Piccadilly Circus, Elephant & Castle, and Charing Cross. My little sister thinks some of those names are super funny! The tube trains are a piece of cake to figure out too with their clearly marked lines and signs.Of course, no trip to London is complete without taking a ride on the famous London Eye - one of the biggest ferris wheelsin the world! Each of the egg-shaped London Eye capsules can hold tons of people and you can see everything in London as you slowly go around and around. The views from the very top are just breathtaking, especially if you go on a clear day. You can see Big Ben, the River Thames, The Shard which is a giant skyscraper, and so much more. I get a tiny bit nervous about heights but it's 100% worth it for those incredible views.I guess you could say that London really does have it all - amazing history, dazzling royal palaces, fun parks, tasty international food, cool museums, and easy public transportation for getting around. We somehow manage to find new areas to explore every time we go back. I just never want to leave!London will forever be my number one favorite travel destination. I'm already dreaming about my next trip back and counting down the days. There's no other city quite like it in the entire world. If you ever get the chance to visit, you absolutely have to go! London really is the cat's pajamas.篇5My Favorite Travel CityWow, let me tell you about the coolest city I've ever been to - New York City! My family took a trip there last summer and it was the most amazing adventure. I had seen pictures of New York in books and movies, but nothing could prepare me for how huge and exciting it is in real life.We stayed in this gigantic hotel right in the middle of Manhattan. Just stepping out onto the street was an experience - there were towering skyscrapers as far as the eye could see, packed full of offices, apartments, and stores. The sidewalks were totally crammed with people rushing around in every direction. Guys were selling hot dogs and pretzels and ladies were shouting about getting a horse carriage ride through Central Park. It was pure chaos, but in a really fun way!Central Park was definitely one of the highlights. It's this massive green park right in the heart of the city. We rented bikes one day and rode around the looped paths, checking out all the playgrounds, ponds, and famous spots like the Bethesda Fountain and Bow Bridge. Another time we just plopped down on the grass and had a picnic lunch. You'd never know you were surrounded by a concrete jungle - it felt like we'd transported to the middle of nature.Of course, we had to visit all the iconic NYC tourist attractions too. We started bright and early at the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. I'll never forget that first glimpse of Lady Liberty as our ferry boat approached the island. She's so tall and majestic, keeping watch over the harbor. At the Top of the Rock observation deck, we could see the entire Manhattan skyline laid out in front of us. I felt like a tiny little speck looking out over that vast urban landscape.Times Square was just as brilliantly overwhelming as I'd imagined. Everywhere you looked there were flashing neon advertisements, huge digital billboards, and crowds of people gawking at the chaos. We stayed up late one night to see it at its most dazzling after sundown. It was absolute sensory overload, but in the coolest possible way.We spent a whole day at the American Museum of Natural History, exploring the endless exhibits of dinosaur fossils, ancient cultures, cosmic wonders, and more. I was completely awestruck by the massive dinosaur skeletons and lifelike dioramas. The museum gift shop might have been my favorite part - I went totally nuts buying all kinds of science kits, books, and toys.Another morning we toured the iconic Empire State Building. My heart was pounding as we shot up to the 86th floorobservatories in the lightning-fast elevator. Looking out over the sprawling city below was like being a giant surveying an ant colony. We could even see the thin line of Central Park's green stretch out through Manhattan.Of course, no trip to NYC would be complete without catching a Broadway show. We were lucky enough to get tickets for the iconic Lion King musical. The opening number with the onstage elephant lumbering down the aisle gave me goosebumps! The colorful costumes, booming songs, andawe-inspiring puppetry and stagecraft made the entire show a transporting experience. It felt like we covered every inch of NYC by foot, subway, ferry, and bus. From the neon chaos of Times Square to the expansive natural refuge of Central Park, the cultured halls of the museums to the giddy entertainment of Broadway - New York absolutely had it all. We sampled legendary NYC pizza, caught street performers putting on shows, and simply soaked in the vibe of one of the world's most famous cities.I'll never forget the thrill of my first trip to the Big Apple. Part of me felt like a tiny amateur getting blissfully lost in the urban spectacle, while another part felt like a seasoned New Yorker expertly navigating the exhilarating madness. New York has somuch to see, do, and experience - no matter how many times I go back, I know there will always be something new and exciting waiting to be discovered. It's the ultimate destination for anyone craving big city thrills, cultural richness, and boundless energy. New York City has my heart!。

英语作文暑假去伦敦玩

英语作文暑假去伦敦玩

英语作文暑假去伦敦玩Summer Vacation in London。

Last summer, I had the amazing opportunity to visit London, the capital city of England. It was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. From the moment I landed at Heathrow Airport, I was captivated by the beauty and history of this incredible city.During my stay in London, I visited many famous landmarks and attractions. One of the first places I went to was the iconic Big Ben, which is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster. Standing in front of this magnificent structure, I was in awe of its grandeur and history. I also took a tour of the Houses of Parliament and learned about the political history of the United Kingdom.Another highlight of my trip was visiting the Tower ofLondon. This historic castle has served as a royal palace, a prison, and a treasury over the centuries. I was fascinated by the stories of the kings and queens who lived there, as well as the famous prisoners who were held captive within its walls. I also had the chance to see the Crown Jewels, which are on display in the Tower and are a symbol of the British monarchy's power and wealth.Of course, no trip to London would be complete without a visit to Buckingham Palace. I was lucky enough to witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony, where the soldiers of the Queen's Guard hand over their duties to the new guard. It was a spectacular display of military precision and tradition, and I felt honored to be a part of such a historic event. In addition to the famous landmarks, I also enjoyed exploring the diverse neighborhoods of London. I spent an afternoon in the vibrant and colorful Camden Market, where I shopped for unique souvenirs and sampled delicious street food from around the world. I also wandered through the charming streets of Notting Hill, admiring the beautifulpastel-colored houses and trendy boutiques. One of the highlights of my trip was taking a ride on the London Eye. From the top of this giant Ferris wheel, I had a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city. I could see famous landmarks such as the Shard, the Gherkin, and St. Paul's Cathedral, as well as the winding River Thames and the sprawling cityscape of London.During my time in London, I also indulged in the city's vibrant cultural scene. I attended a performance at the famous West End theater district, where I was blown away by the talent and creativity of the actors and musicians. I also visited world-class museums such as the British Museum and the National Gallery, where I marveled at the priceless works of art and artifacts from around the world.Of course, no trip to London would be complete without savoring the delicious and diverse cuisine that the city has to offer. I sampled traditional British dishes such as fish and chips and afternoon tea, as well as international fare from all corners of the globe. I also enjoyedexploring the city's lively pub scene, where I had the chance to mingle with locals and enjoy a pint of ale or two.In conclusion, my summer vacation in London was an incredible experience that I will never forget. From the historic landmarks and cultural attractions to the diverse neighborhoods and delicious cuisine, London has somethingto offer for everyone. I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to explore this amazing city, and I lookforward to returning someday to create more unforgettable memories.。
