Unit 5 Can you play the violin?

Lesson one

Teaching aims and demands: a: To say greetings to each other.

b: To review some words or sentences we

had learnt last term.

c. Make them relax for the first lesson in

new term; Try to remember some

knowledge better.

Teaching words and expressions: the words of job; dishes; animals; fruits;

The key sentences in Unit1to Unit4. Teaching focal points: some words that the students are not familiar with.

Teaching difficulties: the pronunciations of some words.

Teaching aids: word cards, tape-recorder, CAI; Pictures

Teaching procedure:

Step 1 Warm up

1.Greetings; Introduce themselves.

2.Sing a song<>

3. Play a game: Big watermelon & Small watermelon.

Step 2 Lead-in

Boys and girls, welcome back. Look! This is a Little Doctor. And

She has some questions for you. Do you want to go to the English Wonderland with her? Here we go.

Step3 Input

1.Firstly, say some words about dishes and jobs. Questions:

What’s he? What’s she? Is he/ she a….? ( animals fruits)

2.Show some word cards. Read by groups.

3.Show some pictures and ask questions: What are these?

What are those? Is this a ….? Is that a ….? Do you like….?

Step4 Game

1.Students will be four groups: dishes, animals. Fruits; jobs.

Each student can get a picture or word card. And have a race together, to see which group can be number one( The word cards or picture can put on the blank fastest)

2.Ask students to choose a dialogue that we had learnt , and

practice with partners.

3.Show time: Act the dialogue with partners.

Step5 Output

1.Yal-mi: Today, you are so great! And you are little Doctors.

( Clap)

2.Homework for today, remember listen to the tape at home.

3.Say goodbye.

反思: 经过了一个漫长的寒假回来,本以为学生的上课常规和上

学期所学的重点内容会忘得差不多了,但从这节课来看,其实不然,学生们掌握还是不错的,而且兴趣还挺好. 只是有少数部分学生和个别新生基础相对弱一点,对每个单元中的重点句型的发音和运用还不是很到位,课后要加强对这些学生的补差,提高他们对学习英语的自信心. 课后,很多学生和我分享了他们在寒假中记单词的方法及数量,还有每日的英语书写.不管做得多与少,好与坏,我都对他们进行了很大的肯定.

Teaching aims and demands: a: To learn new words about instruments.

b: To know and say the instruments; And

read the new words correctly.

c. practice the questions: Can you play

the ….? Yes, I can. / No, I can’t. Teaching words and expressions: piano; guitar; violin; cello Teaching focal points: the new words

Teaching difficulties: the pronunciation of the new words. Especially for “ violin”.

Teaching aids: word cards, tape-recorder, CAI;

Teaching procedure:
