in Disney’s new movie Zootopia. Judy Hopps, the main character, becomes
the first rabbit police officer in the city. While solving a mystery, she meets
the smart fox, Nick, who helps her with her case, and some other animals
like the lion mayor(市长) and a sloth called Flash. Here is something more
about the movie.
There are 64 kinds of animals in the movie. Each kind is special.
Elephants have trunks(big noses), pigs have snouts; some animals have feet, some have paws;
some animals have three fingers while some have two. Judy’s character is a bit different from real
rabbits. Real rabbits actually have a split lip(裂唇), but the film makers decided to keep Judy’s lip
all together to look nice.
Film makers learned that not all fur of animals is the same. In the movie, some of polar bear
fur is clear. It appears white because the light reflects(反射) off of it. Part of fox fur is dark at the
root(根部), getting lighter till its red top. They did so to make sure that the animals
in Zootopia were believable.
Moreover, a film maker, Nathan Warner with his partners also took a trip to Africa for
researching animals. There they had a close watching of different animals. Based on their
discovery, these artists added leaves and sticks to animals’ coats like the big sheep. They also
make animals’ tears run from the inside corners of eyes d own to the outside of the mouth.

If you watch the sky for about an hour after the sun goes down , you may see some "moving stars" . But they are not really stars. They are man-made satellites. And the biggest of all is the International Space Station (ISS). From May to July is the best season to watch the ISS flying over the earth. And people can see it with their eyes during the time.
The scientists want to live on the ISS. They think that the best way to learn more about space is to live there.
When the space station is finished, it will be like a city in space. People will stay and study there with many of the thing they have at home. Laboratories, living rooms and power stations are being built. The ISS is the most expensive program. Billions of dollars are spent on it every year.
Scientists hope that the ISS will be a stepping stone for future space exploration. "The ISS will be more useful some day. The ISS will help us understand the human body better, explore space and study the earth. It can help us make life on the earth better." said Kathryn Clark, an ISS scientist.
Sixteen countries are part of the space program: the US, Russia, Canada,Japan,Brazil, and 11 European countries. China isn't an ISS country, but it has helped with some of the experiments. In 2003, China sent some rice up to the ISS to find out what space would do to it.

七、任务型阅读(本大题共5小题,每小题1分,共5分)
Most of us have never thought about building an educational toy by ourselves. If we need a learning toy or something, we simply go to the nearest store and buy it. However, things are not as easy in third world countries. With families even having no food to put on the table, buying toys, especially the educational ones, is the last thing on the parents’ minds.
So how can one get these kids interested in science This was a question that worried the Indian engineer Arvind Gupta so much that he decided to give up a good job and spend his life making toys from things that people no longer want or need!
Mr. Gupta began teaching in the 1970s. While still an engineering student at the Indian College of Technology, he volunteered to teach the children who could not afford to go to school. Upon graduation, he found a good job at India’s Tata Motors and spent the next five years designing cars.
But he soon realized that this was not something he wanted to do for the rest of his life. So he took a year’s training course and took part in the Hoshangabad Science Teaching Program whose aim was to make science fun and exciting for poor children using available materials.
Mr. Gupta found the whole project so satisfying that he decided to leave his high-paying job and focus his attention on designing educational toys that were not only cheap and easy to build, but are also full of scientific principles(科学原理), so that children could get interested in this interesting subject.
When the Internet started becoming a more widespread learning tool, Mr. Gupta created
a Toys from Trash website and also recorded over 250 YouTube videos.
Today, over 50,000 children and teachers visit the website daily to download the videos for the toy creations based on cool science. Some young children have become so inspired(鼓舞)that they have even won international science competitions with the help of his creations.
