Step 1.Lead in
Leading in 【情景1】
Work in groups:Teacher will show some pictures about the good and bad habits.Ask the students to talk about them and what they should do.
T:Hello,boys and girls.Let’s work in groups and talk about the spring in China.
S1:What time do you go to bed?
S2:I go to bed at 12 o’clock every day.
S1:I think it’s too late.You shouldn’t stay up too late.It’s bad for your health.How
often do you clean your bedroom?
S3:I seldom clean my bedroom.I’m busy with my homework every day.
S1:That’s an excuse.You should clean your bedroom every day.How often do you take a bath?
S4:I take a bath every day.
S1:That’s a good habit.How much water do you drink every day?
S5:One glass of water or juice.
S1:That’s not enough.You should drink eight glasses of water a day.
Leading in 【情景2】
Pair work:Ask the class to work in pairs and know about each other’s good habits and bad habits.Ask the questions like these “How often do you brush your teeth?”“Do you always make your bed?”and they should respond to those questions.
S1:Do you always brush your teeth?
S2:Of course.
S1:How often do you brush them?
S2:Twice a day.
S1:Do you always make your bed?
S2:No.
S1:Why?
S2:I don’t think it’s necessary to make my bed every day.It’s boring.
Step 2.Presentation
1.Lead the students to learn new words with objects or pictures.The new words are step, towards, brush, tooth, teeth, organized, mess, develop, get up, spend…doing, make one’s bed, lead the way to and a few times.Ask the students to make sentences with the new words.Teacher can ask them questions aording to the situations.
T:If you want to go on a trip, the first step is to know about the place you want to go.
S6:You’re right.
T:Now read after me “step”.
S:Step.
T:How often do you brush your shoes?
S7:Once a week.
T:Now read after me“brush”.
S:Brush.
2.Practice the conversations in e the sentences in the text.
Step 3.Practice
1.Ask the students to read the passage.Students read the passage aloud.Focus on the stressed words, pronunciation and intonation.
2.Work in groups.Ask the students to make a list of their good habits and a list of their bad habits.Talk about them.
3.Ask the students to retell the passage with their own words.
4.Make sentences with the new words, expressions and drills of this lesson. Step 4.plete Let’s Do It!
Ask the students to listen to the passage and finish Exercise 1.Exercise 2 is used
for practicing the students’ listening ability.Ask the students to finish it in class.Check the answers in class.Let the students finish Exercise 3 in class.Check the answers in class.
Step 5.Task
Work in pairs.Do you know yourself? Talk about your habits.Make a list of your good habits and a list of your bad habits.Talk about them.
Work in pairs to finish Exercise 4.After a while, ask some students to act their dialogues out in front of the class.
