过去进行时态
含义：表示过去某个时刻或某一阶段正在进行的动作，常和表示过去时间的状语while, when, at that moment, all day, the whole afternoon, at ten o’clock last night, at that time, at this time yesterday等类似的连用，但在有些情况下，没有明确的时间状语，需要通过上下文来判断。

例句：Mike was doing his homework at nine o’clock last night.
They were watching TV from seven to nine last night.
构成：主语+(not)+was/were+doing+其他

when与while引导的时间状语从句
when
when引导的时间状语从句的谓语动词可以是持续性
动词，也可以是短暂性动词，持续性动词常用过去
进行时，短暂性动词常用一般过去时。
