Ⅰ.Course Aims(课程目标)

1.Scientific aims(科学价值)

a.能够根据音标正确朗读、拼写并运用单词表中本课的单词:level, sad, calm等。

b.能够掌握双多音节形容词的比较级和最高级的变化规则,能在具体句子中正确地应用。

c.能够用英文谈论有关地震逃生的话题

①——Do you know how to protect yourselves from the earthquake?

d.能够听懂有关谈论地震的话题及用形容词比较级最高级谈论关于灾难的话题。

本节课是八年级上册第四单元第二个话题的第二课时。主要的活动是1a,1b和1c。通过Miss Wang和班里的学生之间的谈话引出玉树地震的话题,在对话中了解玉树地震的信息,学习地震逃生的相关知识以及复习双多音节形容词的比较级和最高级形式。

Ⅴ. Teaching procedures

Step1. Enjoy a song.

(设计意图:通过英文歌曲营造英语学习环境,将学生们的注意力吸引到课堂上来,以便开展本节课的学习活动。)

Step2.Greet students.

Step1.Look at the phonetic symbols and read the words in Section A.

(设计意图:全班分成两小组竞赛,看音标,拼读在Section A 中所学过的单词。该任务难度较低,利于激发学生的参与欲望,而且与中考的短文填空的题型要求一致。)
