Many people say when they eat out, they usually order a lot of dishes and they can't eat them up. One person in Chengdu, Sichuan Province says he takes away the leftovers. "Usually we'll have some leftovers after meals, because when I invite friends to eat out, I don't know how much they can eat, so I order lots of dishes to make sure everybody has enough food."
While another person in Fuzhou, Fujian Province says she never packs what is left on the dining table. "What
I usually experience during eating out is a big meal. I seldom take away the leftovers because we often have other activities after the meals, and it's not convenient to take the leftovers. And when no one suggests taking away leftovers, I won't do so."

Did you know that about 55% of communication is unspoken, so in fact, our bodies are actually saying more than our words. I find that the key to a successful conversation in any language is to speak to people not only in their spoken language but also with the body language they know best.
Britain, along with much of Northern Europe, has a non-touch culture, so personal space is very important. In a formal(正式的) situation, we would usually greet each other with a handshake. Informally, but not so often, my British friends and I would greet with a hug. Hardly ever would we greet with a kiss on the cheek, let alone a hug and two kisses on the cheek!
Here in the south of Italy, and in many different parts of the world, both men and women greet with two kisses on the cheek, use a lot of hand signs and often touch each other. In other words,
little personal space is left between people when communicating.
At university, I have learnt to successfully communicate in spoken Italian. And since I moved to live with the local people, I have also started to pick up their body language. Sometimes, I find myself not knowing what hand signs to use when expressing myself. However, what I know for sure is that I would miss the opportunity to fully put myself in the Italian culture if I keep my personal space unbroken.
Here are 5 body language tips in Italy;
● Use different signs; head, arms and hands.
● Use facial expressions. Always smile at people! It is said that smiling is the most powerful unspoken way to communicate friendliness.
● Use eye contact, beca use "the eyes are the window to the soul."
● Don't worry about personal space. Italians are a people who like to use the sense of touch, so moving away or keeping your distance may be considered as being unfriendly.
● Touch. When meeting and leaving, alway s shake hands.
(1)In Britain, people usually greet each other with .
A.a warm hug
B.a handshake
C.a kiss on the cheek
D.two kisses on the cheek
(2)The writer uses Britain and Italy as examples to show .
A.men and women greet in the same way
B.Italians are more friendly than the British people
C.keeping personal space is very important in any country
D.people in different countries use different body language
(3)From Paragraph 3, we can learn that the writer .
A.likes to keep his personal space
B.tries to learn Italian body language
C.knows little about Italian hand signs
D.keeps using British body language in Italy
(4)What is the most powerful unspoken way to show friendliness in Italy?
A.Hand signs.
B.Smiling.
C.Eye contact.
D.Touch.

Me Before You is my favorite romance(浪漫)novel by British writer Jojo Moyes. It tells the story of Louisa Clark and William Traynor (known as Will). At the end of the book, Will dies and leaves Louisa a lot of money. What happens next? You can find out in the book's sequel(续集)After You.
Will wants Louisa to use the money to live her life happily and richly—to travel, discover new chances and continue her education. However, Louisa is too sad and finds it difficult to forget Will. Louisa now works at a bar in an airport, watching people fly to amazing places. Her boss is really unfriendly and she lives in an apartment that doesn't feel like home.
However, all of this is about to change. One night, Louisa meets a girl at her doorstep(门阶). She tells Louisa where she is and Louisa can't believe her cars. If she closes the door, her life will stay the same. If she opens the door, she will accept challenges and become the woman Will wanted her to be. Which will she choose? You'll have to find out the answer for yourself.
Jojo Moyes wrote After You because she wanted to give her characters from Me Before You a future. Her use of language is
as descriptive(描写性的)and powerful as that in Me Before You. One special quote(引文), "Because me being here sort of means you're still here", deeply touched me. I think this line is really emotional(有感染力的)and powerful.
(1)Who is the main character in the book After You?
(2)What's the relationship between Will and Louisa?
(3)Where does Louisa work after Will's death?
(4)Why did Jojo Moyes write After You?

English is the first language of several countries. However, it has many differences. British, American, and South African English are all spoken differently. In many English language courses, the British and American differences are taught. There are important differences between the two.
Probably the biggest difference between American and British English is the vocabulary. Different words and expressions
are used to talk about the same thing. For example, in the United States, people throw their garbage
into the trash can. In England, people throw their rubbish into the dustbin. In Britain, people take a lift to the fifth floor. In America, people take an elevator.
American and British grammar can be also different. For example, speakers of British English will ask "What did you do at the weekend?", but Americans usually say "on the weekend." In the United States people usually say "I've gotten a new car.", but in the UK they will say "I've just got a new car."
The pronunciation in American and British English is also different, even when the spelling is the same. The word "tomato"—pronounced "to-mah-to" in British English—is a classic example of this.Vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation are three ways English is different in different parts of the world.
Learning all these is not easy, so English learners should just know that they are always there.
