上海市初中学业水平考试英语听说测试

The English listening and speaking test for Shanghai's middle school academic level evaluation is designed to assess students' listening and speaking abilities in real-life contexts or problem solving. The evaluation consists of three parts, namely the Listening Comprehension section, the Oral Presentation section, and the Interactive Communication section.

In the Listening Comprehension section, students will

hear passages or dialogues in English and answer multiple-choice questions that are based on what they have heard. This part is designed to measure the student's comprehensive

ability to comprehend English conversation and it lasts about 30 minutes.

The Oral Presentation part requires the student to speak

in front of a group of people about a designated topic. In

this part, the student's pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary usage, and ability to adequately express their thoughts and ideas will be assessed. This part lasts around 15 minutes.

The Interactive Communication section contains several questions that are related to the student's life experiences and require them to answer in an interactive manner. This

part is designed to measure the student's ability to interact with the interviewer and effectively communicate in the

English language. This part usually lasts for up to 25 minutes.

Overall, through this English speaking and listening test, it is possible to evaluate the learner's ability to

understand and communicate in English in various situations. It also offers insights into the student's overall English language proficiency.
